Well, between you and the second camera person there was a little redundancy, but it was interesting to watch the different styles. At first, I thought I was remembering the other video you did here and then for a split second I thought I was experiencing deja vu, but in the end I realized that we had two different camera persons. I hate to tell you this Matt but whomever the other person was they edged you out for steadiness, lol. Great video, Jersey Bill
yes indeed, I was off talking to myself while the good camera work was taking place elsewhere. I appreciate a bit of Deja vu- apologies , but as the place had closed it may be of interest in the future, I have done the same for the fairground museum as well.
Not that I don't like your commentaries, but I think it was a good idea to do this vid about this location. The light is right - so you can see what you are looking at; there is limited background noise, but you can hear a few people; you can take your time and look at the whole frame; and you get slow sweeping panoramas which could only be accompanied by:- ". . and . . this is the foundry" etc, if there was a sound track. Back in my day when I visited - Easter 1977 - it was the time of "No Photography Permitted" as a general rule. I'll look forwards to the return visit at some point after re-opening, when you can show if the museum has been dumbed down or commercialised to the point of unrecognizability , eg. with no rusty metal in sight. Great vid.
Bugger, reopens in 2026 😢 And there was me thinking it would be a perfect place to visit during our planned VW camper road trip to North Wales this summer.
@dustyshelfcollectables The WHR is on the list for this summer. We did the classic Ffestiniog from Porthmadog to Blaenau in 2023, so this year it's Caernarfon the objective. Garratt POWERRR 😂 I'll defintely check out the Boston Lodge visit. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the kind words. I am looking forward to the reopening where I so hope the atmosphere remains.
