The Scenic Drive in Arches National Park, Utah

Arches National Park has the most dense concentration of natural stone arches in the world. There are over 2,000 documented arches in the park, plus hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive rock fins, and giant balanced rocks. Some are more notable than others.
The scenic drive in Arches is about 22 miles one way or about 45 miles in total. We spent about 4 - 5 hours driving around the entire road and made short 5 - 30 minute stops at all the scenic viewpoints.
The best times to visit Arches National Park are in the spring (March - May) or fall (Sept - Oct). This is due to the desert weather of the park. If you don't have the time or ability to hike, you can still see many famous arches and rock formations from the scenic drive. You can drive along the park roads and visit viewpoints to see some notable features of Arches National Park.
Dead Horse Point State Park features a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park covers 5,362 acres of high desert at an altitude of 5,900 feet. Truly an amazing spot we didn't know existed!
