Ken Griffey jr in his prime was the best. His sweet swing is the best ever. If not for injuries he would've had the most home runs in history and I'll take that to the bank. My favorite player of all time.
those low ball tee shots are something else. in some of the swings it is super level, in some others it's basically a golf swing and then the high outside stuff is just on another level.
John Olerud had a better claim to MVP than Griffey. I don't know how Thomas won, maybe just HR and RBI's but Olerud crushed in batting average and on base percentage.
Can't resist-you got me random internet que. fun fact; Jr. stole 30 bases a year in his youth and was actually speedy. Watch the Edgar playoff double against the Yankees where he scores from first, he was scootin.
As a Cincinnati resident and Reds fan all i want to say is i am so sorry that Jr. Didn't have a good era here with injuries. I wish it could have been better for the Kid here
I am not putting down Barry Bonds here, but one wonders what Griffey might have done had he decided to use...pharmaceutical help. Both men had swings so beautiful you could call them heaven-sent. To say nothing of beautiful results.
Teaching the mechanics of anyone other than Griffey's to young players is baseball malfeasance. See little leaguer Reece Rousell's mechanics. Identical, just before and at contact, to Griffey, Ruth and all the greatest ever.
12 minutes watching the best swing ever? Yup, morning well spent.
you can look forward to another 12-20 minute burst of griffey dingers very soon ; )

That swing plus the bat drop when he knows it’s gone! Never seen anything so beautiful!
I SWEAR!!!!!
The trajectory on those shots was unbelievable.
His swing really is a piece of art. Should be in a museum.
So fun to watch. Low & high pitches, gone. And such smooth bat speed it's almost like slow motion.
Best swing in baseball.
Yep in baseball history.
Effortless.
facts. I always thought this. Silky smooth but absolutely powerful
Ken Griffey Sun, "I am amused by the simplicity of this game"!❤
Jr Griffey was a beast
top 10 greatest players imo
Kenny Mayne of Sportscenter was my fave!
10:24 Griffey creamed that pitch off of Patrick Mahomes, Sr. That's that father of KC Chiefs QB and Super Bowl LIV Champ Patrick Mahomes.
If he wasnt injured alot he wouldve hit maybe 850-900 hr he is the greatest to me id take him over anyone hes by far the greatest to never win a ws
10:25 hr off Patrick mahomes sr
Good catch
11:14 in, I love it, watched it, and miss it, as in those old calls, from those old heads from the mothership. RIP Stuart Scott.
Something so satisfying about watching him hit a two seamer. That little comeback action followed by an explosion.
Beautiful baseball
Satisfying af

Don’t understand how Griffey didn’t win the MVP in 1993
John Olerud had a better claim to MVP than Griffey. I don't know how Thomas won, maybe just HR and RBI's but Olerud crushed in batting average and on base percentage.
He should have won in 96. Most people say A-Rod should have won, but Griffey had the higher WAR than anybody.
@@itinkle what? Have you seen Frank Thomas stats compared to Griffey, Frank Thomas was the 2nd best player of the 90s
it's laughable how easy Griffey made baseball look and even more funny those who argue over his greatness. Best player of all time.

Absolute badass. End of story.
He is amused by the simplicity of this game
I wanna see his defensive highlights too though lol
That swing should be in the louvre
Imagine if Griffey played in Yankee stadium in 1997. He would’ve had between 65-67 home runs
Bonds and Griffey had the best swings ever. Theres no debate
Watching those two must have been like watching Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle in the 1950s.
Griffey for President ‘96
I know everyone watching this video definitely tried to imitate that swing in little league. I did. Ive still got his 89 Topps Rookie Card.
95 gonna be short.
Dat swing
2:19
the best swing ever
Greatest swing in baseball
You. Cant. Teach. That. Fucking. Swing.

just imagine if he was on Bonds secret sauce.. holy moly
He was already in route to the home run record before the injuries
You mean consistency? Hand eye coordination? Bonds never tested positive for anything. How are you so sure Griffey never used peds?
@@carboardpickaxe6615 yeah Bonds was clean you're right LOL
@@carboardpickaxe6615 he didn’t?
@@deesnuts1 The only thing he was guilty of was contempt of court but that was on something completely different.
I was like he was just stroking it off a tee😬.....good grief!!!!!😮
By far the Best Natural player to ever play, Not tainted by steroids
It looks like he's hardly putting any effort into those swings....
