Thanks. I only fly fish for musky these days. We usually run with 9 or 10 wts. These days mostly 10 wts due to the large flies we like to use now. You can land a musky easily on either one but the 10 wt will be a lot easier to use when casting very large flies.

Big water lake St. Clair to be exact. I never fished for musky let alone fly fish, I am familiar with how to fish them and where on the lake from many years of bass fishing and seeing a 50 incher crush a 5 pounder. The big thing to me is what lines you use?

What flies and colors do you guys find productive for muskies on the claire?

question. when you guys are fishing just out in open water are you relying on electronics to know where to fish?

cal - this is a fairly old video. I have some more recent ones that you would prob enjoy more. But I mostly run a 400-450 grain line on a 10 or 12 wt. I usually use the SA cold 25 or what used to be the wet tip express. But there are some other good lines out there too

I will be doing a seminar at Schultzs Outfitters on March 1st answering many of the questions you have asked. Try to go if you can. I am not sure yet what time it will be happening yet but it is usually middle of the day.

What’s your thought on the Tfo TiCr x 10wt for musky? Or should I go with the 9wt?

      Jeep broke
Definitely go with the 10 wt. It will make casting those flies a lot easier and you will be able to land the fish quicker which is better for the fish's safety
