- A short film highlighting the 2020 Tarpon season and the shenanigans that came with it. Has no story or meaning, just lighthearted, fun fishing clips. We spent 5 days fishing with Capt. Eric Herstedt and the rest of the time fishing on our own in the Lower Keys. Our good friend, Panos, joined us for a couple of those days. Enjoy!

I WILL catch a tarpon this year!! I live on anna maria island, the mecca of tarpon and have never really fished for them. But this year....it's on!!!

I am a fly fisherman. Can I double haul? Yes. But I’d need a lot of practice to fish for tarpon. I am also a professional skier Andy. I doubt that would help.

Yes, that bite's the the juice! Also, the fish Nicky caught at 5:26 taped out at 172 pounds! (41.5 inches by 80 inches to the fork)

Thanks! Using Hardy Zane Pro 11wts and Hardy Fortuna reels.
@@millhousepodcast thought the Fortunas were discontinued? But I guess you guys have access to plenty? Or is that a future model?
@@davidreverdito David, We used two reels last year, The SDSL 12000 and the Fortuna 1200. Both reels are no longer in the production line for 2020.
The Rods we were using were the one piece Zephrus 11 and 10wts. Later in the season we were using the new Zane Pro prototypes, which are incredible! Andy
@@andymill3174 thanks for the reply. Big fan of your book and fishing exploits! P.S. I'm a Mako guy myself but do rate the Fortunas. Missed out on the Keys last year and this year, but hopefully next year.

We used both in this video. 10000 for 10weights, 12000 for 11-12 weights
