These are amazing! Thank you! I was searching for more information about the rounding of ACT, and who Derek Quigley is.
    Up popped this video :-)
    I’ll watch the full series

I would have loved it if they had talked more on both sides about Think Big. I've often wondered if that could have been made to work somehow. Seemed like a great idea in principle.

Think Big did work - very well indeed! Think about what projects there are and what they did and are doing today, that is until Labour gave away the gas to gasoline plant and shut the refinery = nuts!

@@paulmeersa7162Marsden point was privately owned, and it was a private business decision to close it.
It was uneconomic, and private enterprise will choose to shut down money losing ventures.

Our last good Prime Minister. We used to be a proper country back then, but then Lange went and let the treasonous rats Douglas and Prebble run lose and ruin it all.

This is so good. Embarrassing how woke and soft our journalism has become.

Always respect Keynesian economics, practised by both parties until Mr Muldoon's defeat in 1984. Their approach was so much more humane than the Rogernomics that followed, which created deep rifts in our country.
Mr Muldoon was hilarious when speaking with Mr Perigo at the end.

What an amazing career in politics. I was a child when I first seen him on TV, he frightened a lot of us kids. Our grandparents admired him ( I see why now) and when we were naughty, that's who they pretended to call😂 cant believe my grandparents punked us. Sir Robert Muldoon....just the mention of your name❤ ....I just had to share..

i hated Muldoon back when he was the leader. Now I know if we had gone with him another 3 years New Zealand would be so much better off.

I don't think so. The incoming Labour government had to devalue the currency by 20% because we were on the verge of becoming bankrupt. In the nine years of Muldoon the economy only grew by about 3%. He was famously drunk when he called the snap election. He had clearly given up.
