  • These Pink Grapefruit Bath bombs smell just like the real thing! They are scented with the new Grapefruit Glow Fragrance Oil, and get their pink color from pink sea salt and a touch of mica.
    The new Citrus Silicone Mold is a great option for bath bombs. It's a nice size and the details add a bit of flair. It does require a few extra steps to ensure those details stay intact when they're unmolded, but the end result is definitely worth it.
    🍊Get the ingredients and full recipe here: bberry.studio/PinkGrapefruitB...
    The recipe is made with pink sea salt and deodorized cocoa butter. They help harden the bath bombs so they unmold easily, and they also feel great on the skin. Then they're painted to add a pop of color and cover up any imperfections.

    New Grapefruit Glow Fragrance Oil is the perfect complement for this design - it's a crowd-pleasing mix of mandarin, lily of the valley, and amber.

    16 oz. Baking Soda
    8 oz. Citric Acid

    I remember back in 2014 when I first started making natural cosmetics and candles that I followed your recipes to a t. I now own a store here in Chile where I sell a lot of things I learned from you, so thank you so much for your videos! So inspiring and great to watch :)

    An espresso tamping tool would work great for the pressing to get the best effect.

    To keep from having premature fizzing of bath bombs, I add the citric acid as the very last thing...after the baking soda has absorbed most of the oils.

    I noticed that when I made my gingerbread man bath bombs after one epic fail is I definitely needed a bit more doughy kinetic sand type feel. My second go at it worked after adding a bit more liquid to it. I used the bramble berry gingerbread man mold and it worked beautifully

      You never finished saying what you mixed the white and pink mica with. Was it alcohol or or some kind of oil?

    To fill in details, add a bit to the bottom of the mold and press in with thumbs, then add more and so on until filled. Gets the details every time! Those silicone molds are quite rigid so work well for whatever project!! 👍

    So it doesn't hurt the lemon fragrance to nuke it? I'm always trying to avoid heating my fragrances!

    • @a.guzman4176
      @a.guzman4176 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the instructions, Anne Maríe refers to the "LEMON EXTRACT", not "Lemon Fragrance"

    • @jeffreym68
      @jeffreym68 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@a.guzman4176 Perhaps, but it's being used as a fragrance. In any case, the point remains. Many oils change when exposed to heat, either in color, scent, or other chemical characteristics which can be detrimental to the final product. So, I thought she might provide some insight to add to my decades of personal experience with soap and body care products. Thanks.

    I enjoy watching you work but I wanted to know what each ingredient does and searched Polysorbate 80 it said it was dangerous for the skin.Does it change when you mix it with other ingredients?

    • @dmc7870
      @dmc7870 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Polysorbate 80 prevents the dye from sticking to and staining the bathtub and skin. Not much is usually used in bath products. That's what I learned online.

      Siana Hill: I don't use it and my bath bombs works fine.😊 I live in Europe, and I don't even know where to get Polysorbate!

    • @denisethompson1035
      @denisethompson1035 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Siana Hill if it is supposed to keep the ring from the tub, I would say it doesn’t work for me. I used it for my last batch and it is still leaving rings.

    • @sianahill9580
      @sianahill9580 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know everything polysorbate does but polysorbate does indeed have risk such as irration to the skin and eyes,and cancer

    • @denisethompson1035

      Siana Hill yes I don’t care for it in my products and I dislike working with it.

    How do you make sure your product is safe for consumers? Like what kind of preservative is used in this recipe or maybe it does not contain any water?
