We don't have that tight spot between the tent and cab, but we put an extra long strand of paracord on the cover zipper that we just toss to the other side of the vehicle and stuff in with the tent. We also have little strips of paracord on all the zipper pulls so they don't jingle.
Great ideas! We have some glow in the dark paracord that we use sometimes - that might be good for zipper pulls too. We are thinking about selling our 23Zero since we have the Campinawe now, but we still would like the option to get way out without the trailer sometimes, so might consider a smaller roof top tent.
That is a KB Voodoo Max Modular rack. They offer different heights - We got that height so that the tent was a little lower. Now that we have a Campinawe Trailer, we are thinking about changing things up. Still thinking it through.
We had a 5.5 on our previous truck and it hung over the bed about 6 inches and had to be pretty close to the back window. We made it work, but not a great fit, lol! It's 72 inches(king size). The do make smaller ones. I think the next size down is 62 inches.
@@HEKNBAK I have one of these for sale on FB marketplace in my area and so I’m trying to do some research. I have my wife and 2 children. At times we all sleep in our king size bed now. In my case, would you go smaller? I appreciate your video and imo, y’all’s commentary is so much more genuine and pleasant to listen to 😊
@@briangelpi thank you so much for the kind words! We try to just be ourselves, but we are still pretty nervous recording ourselves, so we really appreciate that. If we were sharing it with 2 kids, we would probably stick with the king. If they are young still (or you're all smaller people), you could probably go down to a queen. We bought the king because we have a king bed at home, but the tent actually feels even roomier. We've never had more than the two of us in there, but plenty of room for gear - we have lost things in there, lol! I hope that helps. It's a big purchase so we know it can be a tough call.

Thanks for watching! It is the 6.5 bed. Our previous one was the 5.5 and our tent stuck out just a little past the tailgate, so when we started looking for this one we knew we wanted the longer one. I think they do come in 8ft also.
