My peltors were working about 4 months ago. I used them at the range with my army unit and when I tried them on about a week ago they wouldn’t turn on. I am always very bad at turning them off after use. I replaced the batteries and nothing, do you have any ideas?
Hey, can you tell me what the symptoms of those broken Peltors were? I'm at a loss with mine, I've had them in my slightly dump basement for a while, took em upstairs, turned them on and they said "Power On, Low Battery" after which they turned off again. At first I figured it might be the battery, but after trying it a few more times with new batteries it still persists. Took them apart, cleaned them with contact cleaner but they still do the same thing 🙄 I'm at a loss..
I have the same problem, did you find a solution? I have two pairs that do the same thing. The only way to keep them on is by keeping the button pressed. As soon as I lift my finger it says low battery and turns off.
Sorry, I didnt get what dc-dc step up you used, the 3.3 V like in the headline? In the video it sounds like you take the 5V. My V on Vout is 1.5V that seems very low, so I guess thats why my peltor won't start up anymore. How do you get rid of the coating?
If my eyes don't fail me you definitely have a circular mark on pin one on both components, don’t you? The image wasn’t sometimes clear due the light reflection you get on the microscope. I was able to better see it when the component wasn’t perpendicular to the microscope optical axis. I really deserve new glasses otherwise…🤓

Mine are doing this too! Would love more insight on how to fix them

how did you remove this conformal coating? I need to change the pin-out of the J11 plug, but I'm kinda afraid of breaking something.

Coating removed using hotair set around 100oc
Do you know what the capacitor on these headsets look like? I've been trying to find what part it would be but can't figure it out.
Do you offer this service as a business? I think my pair suffered from the same outcome
Hello, yes, I do offer services as a business. Please visit the website " www.itcxtreme.com " and my contact details are available. Thank you.

I believe you are correct. There seems to be a mark under "L" arrow pointing downwards. But the data sheet doesn't show anything???
@@iTCXtreme could happen, they probably give it for granted, the pictures on the ds it’s more related to the pinout not the packaging I guess…
