I can understand what made him that way: he was young, scared of entering adulthood, and had likely read tons of stories about workplace harassment online. He tried so hard to protect himself, he became a threat to others. Thankfully, a mature adult with parenting experience was present to help the guy feel more welcome and more confident, and he mellowed out significantly after all that stress was off his shoulders. I've seen people complain that Anai got off to easily and faced no consequences for his actions, but in a workplace setting, defusing a conflict without letting it escalate is the best case scenario. No one got fired that season, the problem worker dropped his bad behaviour, and that's a positive outcome for everyone. I doubt anyone at the office sans Kabae are ever going to become close friends with him, but they don't have to, Anai has his own life, and is doing well (I have just started season 5, so no further analysis from me, things might change with him later on).

Young people often have trouble navigating the adult professional world because for many it is the first time in their lives they are being criticized by adults who are not their parents or family.
