Washimi is one of my favourite characters. She's not only a bad B*tch in her own right - but someone who took Aggretsuko under her wing (no pun intended 😉) and stood up for her when she was the target of sexism. She didn't just focus on her own empowerment, and i like that unselfish aspect of her.
She stood up for Retsuko without even making it obvious. She just stated that Ton is being a sexist and this would not only drop the quality of work done in his department but also one day may lead to a lawsuit. Which in turn would be a pretty big dent on company's image. She was basically speaking in only way that a CEO would really care about - company image and profit.
Secretary Birds have powerful legs they use for extremely quick strikes, faster than snakes can attack. They're one of the most savage birds of prey in the world. Washimi is type-casted badass
1:20 I was think it's kinda terrifying when she kick or literally stomps that thing.........make sense since her species literally kill snake by dancing on them........more like violently stomping them to death..
I just finished watching through this series and I just love how supportive Washimi and Gori are toward Retsuko from beginning to end. And they're 100% supportive of her "Aggretsuko" side and even if Retsuko tries to keep that persona hidden, Washimi and Gori push for her to use it more in the open because, to them, that's the "real Retsuko" and they just want her to be herself
I've never seen the show but Washimi alone makes me want to. She is an ideal intelligent, classy, woman and i enjoy how much she supports those around her especially Retsuko.
What’s really cool is that when she kicks, it’s completely accurate to her species! As a secretary bird, it’s actually how they catch prey! Kicking and stomping it!
I thought the downward kick was a quirk or hers but no, turns out a secretary bird is a real bird species and they do they that kick to crack open the skulls of their enemies, so she IS a secretary secretary bird lol
I love how Washimi called out Retsuko for her (in my opinion) stupid plan to escape her job by using a guy for marriage and settling down as a housewife. Personally, I don't have much respect for those who don't want to support themselves financially and think marital and paternal duty will be enough for the rest of their lives.
