Note: Rice cookers have a preset which automatically switches from cook to warm setting once it thinks the rice is done. Since we're cooking cake instead of rice, we need to trick it into thinking that it's still cooking rice when making this cake. Simply switch back to the cook setting whenever the switch flicks back to the warm setting until the cake is done. (My cooker flicked back around 6 times while making this cake).
Try this rice cooker method at your own risk, and try only if you have a good quality cooker and the proper voltage (240).

Its.... superb idea and easy compared to egg cake... and m trying it now but cooker kept turning into warm mode after around 15 mins.... m unable to turn into cook mode... can u suggest wat to do ??

The cooker button comes up when it's not even cooked yet! How can we avoid this? Since the temperature for cooking rice and cake differs
Same happens with my electric rice cooker.... but after some time we have to switch on it again..... number of time we need to on it, it seems to be very irritating....but at last I always get yummy cake

In rice cooker I followed the same, after 5 minutes knob shifted from cook to warm mode. But batter was not cooked. Left in warm mode for 5 minutes. Then shifted to cook. By doing so batter got burnt only below.(had placed even butter paper). Kindly let us know the direction inorder to avoid the burnt one

My rice cooker heats up very fast and high voltage and also i don't have any butter paper... what should i do ? can i put batter in some utensil and then put the utensilin the rice cooker with same process? Plz reply
i don't know about using the other utensils but if you don't use butter paper the cake will burn

You need the acid in the yogurt to react with the baking soda for lift. If you use milk you should sour it with a touch of white vinegar.
