Uh...a what? A needle point dial?? 😂 As a guy who repairs watches, I can only see tiny little fuzziness from the thread getting in all the gubbins inside that thing...no, no, no!😊
I wish more watch companies used tritium for their lume. Maybe for some it would be too much to have constant lume at night. I think it would be awesome if more companies used it however.
Good lord! I really hoped you would review the Omega at some point, and you exceeded my expectations. The next Darkside version should replace the yellow hands with red, and substitute Tintin's rocket. I would buy that.
“Volcan” isn’t just close to the word volcano, it is the word for volcano in Spanish. I think the official rangeman lore is that this guy and a colleague, James, decided to go explore a Patagonian volcano for science or something. Unfortunately he forgot James’ last name and has a multitude of people named James in his contacts. Our protagonist has known James for many years and at this point it would be awkward to ask what his last name was, so he decided to enter James’ name in as “James Volcano” to remember which James this was. After attempting to enter in the name “James Volcano”, he realized that he already had another contact in his phone as James Volcano from a previous science-adjacent volcano expedition, so he finally settled on “James Volcan” since this new expedition would be in S. America
You guys had me laughing out loud... never thought this would happen watching watch reviews ! Andrew, this was your best one yet. Keep up the great work.
I think 14000 pounds is pretty fair really in the set of solid gold case watches. Baume et mericer and longines have a few in the 7000gbp range, but nothing near as interesting as the gmt and i think only pink gold. Aside from that i think 15-20k is kinda the entry point
Problem is that their main consumer base is not paying that much for a watch. It's beautiful and can easily compete with the bigger names in this price range, but people who pay this much want to have a certain name on it. And that's not Longines
What on Earth is Seiko doing again with that Speed timer? Lume plots again applied on 3-6-9-12 marks only? This is such a cool watch, but such a missed opportunity with that partial lumination and the 24 hour sub dial.
They should have removed the Scuba wording on the dial and replaced with “inspired by” on top of the Fifty Fathoms below it. That is not a Fifty Fathoms. It is a Thrify Fathoms.
I have a question, and this is related to the Simpsons Swatch - it looks fun and colorful just like something a child would enjoy. Other than Blok, what watches would you recommend for little ones? I already have my son enjoying metal \,,/, so I want to see about getting him into watches early too. Thanks and keep up the great work, guys!
I love my pacific fifty fathoms scuba, just sayin I bought mine while on vacation in Sydney after finding the same the nudibranch on a dive that’s on the movement of the watch. Great watch though
In the late 80's l had a 1983 RS2000 mk ll in that blue but with a brown vinyl roof. Full recaro interior. Wife ramped the arse off it and blew the engine up 😢
I dare say I'd be curious to see a crochet dial watch!.. I wouldn't buy it. Just curious to see how that may look. Inspired by the embroidered dial Panerai thing you showed.
7:17 Is the second hand is not aligment with 12? I dont belive it. The made it again XD I have a Seiko SRPD on my hand with some problems with aligment but i pay some 800 zł (200$)
The promotional video of the Casio G-Schock Rangeman was shooted in Teide Mountain, a sleeping volcano, in the spanish island of Tenerife. There’s must be a lot of fantasy and production in the video because of that, it’s a sleeping volcano. 😜
Now that Blancpain Scuba Swatch in that black colourway looks really smart. That shows that if Blancpain made a full 5015 version in black (proper) ceramic, that would so totally work. Even better if they made a ~41mm one.
BlancPain FF should be made in size 42 or 43. That would be great news. The original is a bit big in todays standards. I like it and I can wear it (8" wrist) but too expensive for such a big watch that is not for every day. This swatch/BB collaboration is funny but I am waiting for the real deal that is not a special edition and not made of plastic.
That little cat symbol on the G-Shock is actually the natural enemy of all Rangemen, it's the Electric Bobcat. Just look at that tail. The symbol is to help all Rangemen spot them in the wild.
For the life of me I can’t understand why Seiko doesn’t remove their sub branding off their dials and engrave them on the crown. That pro-spec logo looks out of place on that chronograph.
For Swatch to sell the Blancpain Thrifty fathoms, they just have to put the sistem 51 movement into a steel blanpain shaped case and then charge the same as they charge for the plastic watch. Then Watch it fly off the shelves. its simple logic...you don't need suit wearing people to think this up. You heard the idea first from me, when this does happen i expect due royalties from swatch group
I can't imagine many prospective purchasers of G-Shocks want all of the Smart functionality/Bluetooth in their new models at the expense of Battery Life. Certainly if the Apps are going to be as consistently awful as they have been. My thoughts? Update existing models with an MIP Display, keep Tough Solar and ideally Multi-Band 6 and they'll sell truckloads.
As big a fan of cynicism as i am, i would like to point out that the new Seiko Speedtimer colour scheme owes itself more to the Gulf livery of the '68 GT40 at Le Mans than the current trend for Tiffany blue watches. Arguably they should have leaned into the orange accents to make that clearer.
Am I spoiling anything if I ask you to look at the back of the new BlancPain Swatch with a UV light? You will see th connection with the BlancPain MOON Phase… and understand the easter egg of MOON reference… you’ill thank me latter ;)
If fairness the light blue and orange of Gulf Oil is one of recognizable liveries within the motorsport community (I think 11966 Ford GT40). I'm sure the blue is in reference to certain store on 5th ave, made famous in a novella by Truman Capote written about Marilyn Monroe. Only later made more famous by the greatest miscasting in Hollywood's history having Audrey Hepburn play that iconic role.
@nudgenudge_winkwink ha ha, I think since she's from aristocracy (granddaughter of Dutch baron) Lulamae is bit of a stretch, Roman Holiday she is perfectly cast for.
@nudgenudge_winkwink Start with Kwaidan (1964) where she plays a snow demon. Kobayashi, in my opinion, is much better at character arcs and storytelling than even Kurosawa (Samurai Rebellion and Harakiri are mind bendingly good, and Kubrick said the 9 hour epic The Human Condition was greatest movie ever made). The Yakuza (1971) with Robert Mitchum (another favorite) really could have been something but sadly it just kinda lays on its side. She's the most beautiful in Early Spring (1956) but it's nearly unwatchable like most Ozu movies to a non-Japanese speaker. Finally The Makioka Sisters (1983) shows her range, as she plays a snobby hard headed dislikable character.
Time to mug up on radioactive decay! Can you guess what “half life” actually means?? That’s right, the radioactivity declines to half its original level in that time. So the Ball’s markers, etc will be exactly half as bright after 25 years. The intensity is declining all the time. There, doesn’t that feel better? 😊😊 Keep up the great work. OOI, have you spotted the new StudioUnderd0g release,, they’ve only gone and made the Pizza Watch…
Omega are gonna milk that moon landing for eternity 😂
For real lol the constant milking of the Speedmaster made my want for one diminish unfortunately. Just soo sick of it
I know right, they should do something cool, like lie about summiting everest
Swatch group saw how much watches could resell for during the past 2 years and they are diving balls deep into marketing.
Funny thing is, the moon landings are fake. Cracks me up. 😂
I know I shouldn’t, I know it’s hype, but I really want that omega!!
Give the Longines designer a raise. All new watches from them are beautiful.
Sehe ich auch so.
Einfach Klassedesign!
Seiko's med blue with orange highlights makes me think of Gulf Oil colours on early 70s race cars.
The lightblue and orange theme is a racing classic with the GULF OIL FORD GT 40 at Le Mans. So well done Seiko!
Gulf also sponsored McLaren and now they sponsor Williams (both F1). 2021 Monaco McLaren livery and 2023 Williams temporary livery were sooo nice..
That new Longines Master Collection GMT is beautiful! I've been looking for something similar but in stainless steel, a classic dressy GMT.
That knitted watch was beautiful, would buy one
If Longines continues like this, it will be the new power house in the Swatch group.
Their new watches are alle on fire 🔥
That Speedmaster is brilliant but the price is insane...
You guys crack me up! Tom’s breakdown of the GShock add was comedy gold 😂
That’s Ball is the dog’s, btw😉
Uh...a what? A needle point dial?? 😂 As a guy who repairs watches, I can only see tiny little fuzziness from the thread getting in all the gubbins inside that thing...no, no, no!😊
you guys are funny sarcastic dorks. makes me feel like family.
I wish more watch companies used tritium for their lume. Maybe for some it would be too much to have constant lume at night. I think it would be awesome if more companies used it however.
The Futurama reference had me ugly laughing in public, thank you
Can anyone tell me what that embroidered watch is called? I can’t find it anywhere
Nice work on the skury panda (or however it’s spelled) embroidered dial watch. Love to see more about it
I thought the radiomir case watch was very cool! Well done!
How much lint can a movement take, before it starts mess up the time? Thinking about the DIY watch
What is the name of Embroidery watch and where to order one?????
Good lord! I really hoped you would review the Omega at some point, and you exceeded my expectations. The next Darkside version should replace the yellow hands with red, and substitute Tintin's rocket. I would buy that.

I’m going to build my own theme park… with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the theme park and the blackjack.
That DIY-look watch is really interesting… what was the maker featured in an older video where you could specify any image/design on the face?
I really preferred the microphones. Theme song and everything. Made the production style unique.
You guys had me laughing out loud... never thought this would happen watching watch reviews ! Andrew, this was your best one yet. Keep up the great work.
the humour!! 😂 the type of review we need!
Ball Watches make some of the most beautiful designs out there, but i'd like to see some designs without those tritium tubes.
What's the fun on not having a potential micro Chernovil on your wrist? Live a little!!
Is Longines the Swiss Seiko? Nice watches, probably won’t retain value. The difference in price between Longines and Seiko is the Swiss price premium?
What's the name of the embroidered one?
I’m a sucker for a chronograph with a light blue / Tiffany colour dial. Not a Seiko fan but I really liked that watch
Great video. How do we get the user watch that had the knit face? Definitely the most interesting.
Christopher Ward just dropped new coloured dials of the 40mm and 36mm Twelve including Titanium versions in 36mm.
if they would make the Casioak in 38mm I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Right now it’s just too big for my 6.5inch wrist.
Minute hands should sweep on the minutes. They are always short. Especially for Casio.
2:36 in the back view, where are the straps going? Over the front face?
The last few variations g shock has made for the casioak are definitely aimed at people who mod with those metal mod cases.
Any chance we can get links to the watches in the description?
I think 14000 pounds is pretty fair really in the set of solid gold case watches. Baume et mericer and longines have a few in the 7000gbp range, but nothing near as interesting as the gmt and i think only pink gold. Aside from that i think 15-20k is kinda the entry point

It's beautiful and can easily compete with the bigger names in this price range, but people who pay this much want to have a certain name on it. And that's not Longines
I wonder if these new doxa have improved lume as it's one of the main reasons I don't have one in the collection.?
What on Earth is Seiko doing again with that Speed timer? Lume plots again applied on 3-6-9-12 marks only? This is such a cool watch, but such a missed opportunity with that partial lumination and the 24 hour sub dial.
Lol I can not get over the fact that the crown on that Swatch x Blancpain literally has the initials “IBS” 😂😂😂
Fine watch if you have bowel trouble!!!
@@alwayspooh1588🤣🤣🤣 precisely!
combine that with the "ocean of storms" written on the back, if you know what i mean 😄
Army gave me IBS. I need this watch
They should have removed the Scuba wording on the dial and replaced with “inspired by” on top of the Fifty Fathoms below it. That is not a Fifty Fathoms. It is a Thrify Fathoms.
More like shifty fathoms
Shocktagon! you need to TM that one!
Could catch on 😀
I had a Sistem 51 Swatch 5 years ago and it sucked. Gained 45 seconds a day and stopped working in 4 months.
That embroided watch is class,,
Lovely looking Seiko and Casios. Also secretly hoping for the pink dial Tudor to become a thing for sale
Great job. Outstanding list. Top marks. Bravo. Well done.
Damn - that Seiko Chronograph is a handsome watch - I think I might just have bought one...
I love my pacific fifty fathoms scuba, just sayin
I bought mine while on vacation in Sydney after finding the same the nudibranch on a dive that’s on the movement of the watch. Great watch though
In the late 80's l had a 1983 RS2000 mk ll in that blue but with a brown vinyl roof. Full recaro interior. Wife ramped the arse off it and blew the engine up 😢
It’s mid January. There’s still hope for 2024…
I dare say I'd be curious to see a crochet dial watch!.. I wouldn't buy it. Just curious to see how that may look. Inspired by the embroidered dial Panerai thing you showed.
D'ya suppose the tiaoseach wears a G-Shock?
Please spell out the name of the embroidery watch. Can’t find anything close to skury panda on the interwebs
I like the Doxa black with orange.
The Moon watch is a tack monster. Please stop it Omega. Its not an episode of Orange County Choppers.
7:17 Is the second hand is not aligment with 12? I dont belive it. The made it again XD I have a Seiko SRPD on my hand with some problems with aligment but i pay some 800 zł (200$)
When casio is going to reales
Gshock casiok in 40mm ?
That Doxa looks Greet but the price..

The Doxa sub 300 is superb but that ridiculous hour hand ruins everything... just put a regular sized hour hand and you triple the sales.
May I recommend that you do audio books. Your voice would be fantastic in my opinion
Don’t diss James Volcan. I have dozens of contacts in my phone along similar lines. 😂😂😂😂
That Casio rangeman is basically a copy of the Garmin Instinct 2
You young whippersnappers with your Exige’s.. it was all about the Esprit when I were a lad.
Swatch x Blancpains never made sense. It’s replicating a dive watch but it’s plastic and won’t feel durable at all.
I'd actually have bought the 50 fathoms if I hadn't had to travel 300 hundred kms just to check if there are any available.
I can't wait what G Shock introduces for summer 2024, a Casio Nautilus 😁
I will take the Longines thanks. Sorry you dont mention Rado
The Ball would be the one for me
Out of all those watches, you prefer the Ball? Get down to specsavers son!
That little cat symbol on the G-Shock is actually the natural enemy of all Rangemen, it's the Electric Bobcat. Just look at that tail. The symbol is to help all Rangemen spot them in the wild.
new bio ceramic shock looks pretty cool
I do like that Speedmaster, despite myself 😂
The half life of Tritium is c. 12.3 years.
25 years is ≈ 2 half lives.
Came here to say this, I have night sights on pistols that need replaced after 10 years.
For the life of me I can’t understand why Seiko doesn’t remove their sub branding off their dials and engrave them on the crown. That pro-spec logo looks out of place on that chronograph.

Honestly great looking Omega, I'd consider it for a few thousand less
I can't imagine many prospective purchasers of G-Shocks want all of the Smart functionality/Bluetooth in their new models at the expense of Battery Life. Certainly if the Apps are going to be as consistently awful as they have been. My thoughts? Update existing models with an MIP Display, keep Tough Solar and ideally Multi-Band 6 and they'll sell truckloads.
If I could give the video more than one thumbs up, I would, just for the Futurama reference!
This is funnier than some stand up specials I’ve seen
As big a fan of cynicism as i am, i would like to point out that the new Seiko Speedtimer colour scheme owes itself more to the Gulf livery of the '68 GT40 at Le Mans than the current trend for Tiffany blue watches. Arguably they should have leaned into the orange accents to make that clearer.
Love the doxa
Fish fight club!
Well who wouldn't want an Omega that looks like a G-Shock? (OK, maybe I secretly want it)
I would love to know the people who are actually buying some these watches. How are most watch companies making money these days?
I’m all about the SHOCKTAGON (tm)
I like those Doxas, the Panerai Pin Cushion not so much
hahaha, the commentary... hilarious!
Any whispers of new watches with 24h dials? 😊 it's 2024 baby!!!
Am I spoiling anything if I ask you to look at the back of the new BlancPain Swatch with a UV light? You will see th connection with the BlancPain MOON Phase… and understand the easter egg of MOON reference… you’ill thank me latter ;)
When it comes to fine imitation watches, gussl delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
Please, tell me that the whalers in the moon comment is a reference to Futurama.
Embroidered? Who knew I had the skills to make a watch dial?
If fairness the light blue and orange of Gulf Oil is one of recognizable liveries within the motorsport community (I think 11966 Ford GT40). @nudgenudge_winkwink ha ha, I think since she's from aristocracy (granddaughter of Dutch baron) Lulamae is bit of a stretch, Roman Holiday she is perfectly cast for.
@nudgenudge_winkwink Agreed, it's a nearly perfect film. Are you familiar with Keiko Kishi, she reminds me of Hepburn.
@nudgenudge_winkwink Start with Kwaidan (1964) where she plays a snow demon. 3ATM WR on the very expensive Longines travel watch that you can't take into the pool with you whilst you're on holiday. Hmm, I think I'll pass.
