THANK YOU so much for posting all these GREAT vintage SCCA and IMSA races! Watching these with my dad has been the highlight of my year. Brings back a lot of great memories - especially seeing ones we were at. If you need any new equipment to make digitizing these easier, I am happy to contribute (you've made a couple comments about condition/quality). Let me know! THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Just wow, this video is priceless. I was a ten year old SCCA paddock rat in this era. This, for me, brings all my memories to life; Thank you for posting.

My mom & dad drove out from CA to runoffs several years 1970-1973. Competed in sedan c & d with his two NSU's.... always came home empty handed but had a great time every year

+atomicdoug , Thanks! Love it when people enjoy the SCCA stuff! I grew up in the Southern US, got hooked on road racing after seeing the Monaco GP on ABC's Wide World of Sports in 1968 (I was 6yrs old). Stumbled across an Auto World model car catalog on a newsstand a couple of years later. Car crazy kid asked them to send me the motorsports catalog as well, and found out about SCCA. Joining the club's one of the best things I've ever done. :)

We're from the same generation. Was stoked to see the C production class and John Morton's win. I've had a 240z for years and have s signed poster from Morton and met Bob Sharp recently

+atomicdoug , that's great. Fitzgerald was an acquaintance of mine, he was teaching at the drivers' school here when I started working corners in the '80s.

@@oldsccaguyyah9901 Same here, grew up in Georgia. I was the odd kid in school because there was only two types of racing circle track and drag racing to everyone else. I remember the look other kids would give me when I told them I liked road racing. I came across an issue of Grassroots Motorsports and joined the SCCA. I throughly enjoyed my time with the club!

God damn, some of the drivers featured in this video (especially a couple at the beginning) look like they could had been straight out of a hippie rock band from that era!

The Z was a dominant racer! The car was from n it's legendary form , the 250! Affordable sports car... By the end of the decade, the ZX came and made it a luxury GT...ruined. To this day new they are/will be expensive to race
