If you are new to the world of crafting and you just purchased a Cricut, one of the questions you are probably asking yourself which printer you need. Well, hopefully you will find this tutorial helpful. While I cannot tell you which printer is the best, I can share the printers that I have to help you make an informed decision. I like to say that best is a matter of personal preference, so I try to stay away from recommending a specific printer. However, I am more than willing to share the printers that I have and what has worked for me.
I currently have 4 printers.

I did find a way not to void the warranty on my newest printer when I converted it. I purchased it at Best Buy and got the Geek Squad warranty. By purchasing it that way, I called them for assistance in changing out the ink. Because they changed it, the warranty was not voided, and I paid them nothing. That one thing more than covered the cost of the Geek Squad warranty. My printer is the Epson 8550 Eco Tank. It prints up to a 13x19 size paper.😂

Can I use the same ink to print on regular paper for projects like cake toppers, or do I need to switch back to regular ink for that purpose? Additionally, is it possible to remove the sublimation ink from the printer to switch to another type of ink, or do I have to wait until it runs out? Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for the listed printers. I checked the list but they are pretty expensive. When I checked the canon series you recommend for beginners it’s on Amazon for almost 400. Does anyone that’s a newbie to Cricut have the names of printers that aren’t expensive that work well for you? Thanks😊
Hi Delonda! I love your videos!! I have a Sawgrass 1000, and the ink is so expensive. I’m thinking about getting an Epson to convert so the ink won’t be so expensive. My question is, How long goes a box of Hippo ink typically last?

1 box of ink has lasted for over a year. I recently added ink to my Epson 2760 printer after putting it in there over a year ago.
I have the sure color f170 I haven't had any issues with it just wish it was a wide format printer

Probably a stupid question, but can you print normal documents with the sublimation ink? perhaps with an added heat pressing step? I don't have to print color onto paper very often, but when i do it would be nice not to need two printers...
I totally understand that. I have printed a document or two with my sublimation paper, when I was in a pinch...the colors just look weird.

I have the Eason pi love my Epson 1500 I use a lot of ink from the 1,500. More then normal
I love mine too! I seem to be using it more than the ET 2760.
Do you know what could be the cause of white ink dissapearing halfway throughout an A3 sheet? It starts off good, 100% white, and then fades away to 0% white. We have tried changing the dumpers, applying the cleaning solution, shaking up the mixer... Do you have any ideas?

What kind of paper do you use for print to cut cards?
It depends on the project.
I have a question , I will be printing on a black shirt and the print and letters will be white ink so will the whole thing just be white do i have to do a black outline on the writing or can i just print it with only white ink and it will show my design on the shirt once i print it?
If you are adding an image to a black shirt, you should definitely outline the black letters or change the color of the letters.
@CraftingwithDelonda I ended up printing it and trying it out and it turned out to be just a white box lmao 😅😕 But now I did it with black ink on the outside tho it doesn't match the black in of the shirt

There is a big difference and probably too much to type. You don't need a sublimation printer. You can use an inkjet printer and photo transfer paper.
