Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - The Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra

Pupils of The Yehudi Menuhin School perform Elgar's Nimrod.
Her Majesty embodied many virtues, and will always be remembered for her selfless service, her warmth, and her gentle strength in leading the nation over seven decades. Her life was an example to us all and she was a constant source of unity and reassurance.
The Queen was committed to seeing music and the arts flourish in the United Kingdom, as reflected by her many patronages in this area. This performance was recorded to commemorate the life-long service Her Majesty gave to music and our nation.

A most appealing Nimrod, truly, more so than with many senior orchestras. It is written: Psalm 92: 1 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound."
