How beautiful the perfection that left Heaven to bear with such a contradiction of sinners against himself, and still went up that hill carrying that cross, with the presence of mind to listen to the thief on the cross next to him and save him. The grace of God the Father to remind him of the joy that was set before him on the other side of the cross. How beautiful that that joy was us. Which one of us deserves that?
