Condensation Reactions | 5 Minute Chemistry | Shishir Mittal | SM Sir
This is called E1cb reaction..where elimination of poor leaving group (like -OH,-F group) in basic medium takes place. In such reactions firstly, carbanion is formed in presence of strong base and we potentially land up getting hoffman alkene as a major product. But in condensation reaction,we get a conjugated pi-bond as major product because the carbanion formed is stabilized by -M effect of the carbonyl group

#Awesome S.M sir
E1CB mechanism aapne video me hi bata diya aap shandar hh guruji 🛑🛑🛑
Great sir
E1CB (elimination from conjugate base).
Mechanism got fixed in mind in 5 min
Thank you sir
E1 CB
very conceptual teacher as well as question
E1cb mechanism (where beta hydrogen eliminate and carboanion intermediate forms)
Thanku so much sir , i m loving and learning so much from this 5 minute chemistry series, for me Your videos are like (SUBH KI CHAY ☕) necessary 😁🤗
Thank You Sir
nice sire
E1CB
3rd question was amazing 🤗
E1CB Mechanism
Mast q thea sahi hua
Answer is E1Cb mechanism sir.... Today's lecture was super awesome
Sir bahut acche questions ..

E1(CB) Elimination by Conjugate Base
Best Question of the series
Sir hisenburg uncertainty principle pe ek video banaiye please
Very good questions sir
Mza aaya ,, sir .. 😋
Respected sir,
In the (C) option, why didn't you consider forming the carbanion to the right of the diketone, it would have resulted in a 5 membered ring. Isn't that a possibility?
Possible h but vo negligible amount me hogi kyunki stability of 6 member ring jyada hoti hai 5 member ring se
Dear Anas,
Look very carefully. The alkene is a trans Alkene. We cannot have a trans alkene in a five-member ring.
in (c) option the alpha, alpha diketo in unstable in cyclic form and its enol is about 99percentage found hence it should be in its enol form
?????
99% is Wrong data. Moreover, it is solvent dependent. Is is not more than 20-30% at best.
sir....
please clear one more doubt that why the carbon nucleophile that is formed in the last step why that nucleophile does not attack at the other keto which is present in the cycle???
E1CB elimination via conjugate base
Sir the formation of pi bond will be by E1cb mechanism
Thank u sir
Very helpful sir🙏🙌sir please take some lectures on surface chemistry especially chemisorption and colloids...
E1CB Reaction
intermediate Carbenion
Sir i m preparing for jee adv 2020 and pls can u pls give us tips on the same, actually my chemistry is bit weaker and i literally don't want to lose easy chemistry marks from jee adv, also to improve the same I have started studying chemistry for 7 hrs a day..... Pls sir...... Waiting for your response
Regards..
Awesome video as usual 👍
E1
Name of mechanism is e1cb
e1cb machanism
Sir in option A there is no "addition pi bond" formation taking place. There were 2 pi initially and after the reaction also there are 2 pi bonds. Then why it isnt a answer
Sir gajab Q the
Amazing Sir 😍
e1 cb mechanism
E1Cb mechanism
Best questions ever sir
E1cb mechanism gurujee
Last mechanism was para tautomerism
If we are talking about additional pie bond .
But in A opt. Carban oxygen pie bond has broken and carbon carbon pie bond has form , hence no extra pie bond has form.
Plz. Ans 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Question was not asking new number of pi bonds but it was asking a new type of pi bond .
@@udaybhaidhadhal5090 oh !
Sir ne bolte wakt question ki baki information di hai.
E1cb sir, ketone is electron withdrawing group , you also told in option A in this video only

E1 CB mechanism
Unimolecular elimination (E1)
E1cb reaction
E1cb
E1 CB
E1 cb dehydration
E1cb mechanism(elimination
In B question reactant mae 3 pi bonds and in products 4 pi bonds.. A new pi bond is formed.. It shouldnt be answer sir...??
E1CB Elimination
E1cb mechanism for dehydration
I am not able to understand (c) part ......
Channel name should be-- 5 Minute chemistry- #Shishir mittal.
Edit- thanx sir for giving 💖 , I will meet u after cracking JEE
where is that
answer E1CB
wo wali step mn H2o remove ho raha hn therefore uska name DEHYDRATION hoga
also we have learnt in aldol reaction that when beta hydroxy carbonyl heated DEHYDRATION occur and forms alpha beta unsaturated alkene
am i right sir ?
E1CB
E1 elemination reaction
Sir you should cover topics of ABC 1,2,3,4 like this.....
E1cb reaction mechanism
E1 elimination and dehydration reaction
E1cB mechanism sir
Its E1cb mechanism
E1CB Mechanism?
E1 elimination reaction
ortho & para directing concept sir
Sir plzzz :Video on Rxn of H2O2 and O3
Good morning sir ji
Dehydration
I was right 😁😁😁
E1CB reaction because it is a two step process
E1 cb
E1cB
It is E1CB
present sir
Aj vidio kyu ni dali sirr
E1cb 🙏
E1CB mechanism? ??? Last option
In C option why is Benzil-Benzilic acid type reaction not possible?
Because of presence of alpha H
@@shishirmit Sir in c option can't we make initially a 5 memberd ring by making enolate beside the 2nd ketone and attack it at last one which is near the double bond? Please reply sir
@@knoweverything604
Look very carefully. The alkene is a trans Alkene. We cannot have a trans alkene in a five-member ring.
@@shishirmit oh yes sir didn't got to that point it was great option
@@shishirmit thanks sir

Mechanism pucha hai rexn ka nam nahi
@@umaghosh3099 toh rxn mein jo mechanism h whi toh btaya mechanism hi toh h elimination
E1CB mechanism is the ans
Alpha beta elimination is the name of the rexn
That can be E1,E2 or E1CB so the ans is E1cb
@@umaghosh3099 ok
Beeta elimination reaction.
E1cb mech.
Good morning sir
Name of the mechanism may be condensation reaction
Sir ans to aapne already vidio me hi bata diya hai ie E1CB mechanism
Second option me
E1 mech..
