@@johndean4765 ,,and there it is folks.. it's not just West Ham, it's all football grounds that's became souless,, along with British society..
You can no longer make a comment of wit, let alone tell a joke.. us Brits, for generations, have been the envy of every other Nation, for our humour, quick witted and general piss taking...
This is why you at West Ham , or me at Chelsea, will ever see again that even when the chips are down and how we always kept smiling, these days are gone forever by a generation of moaning, lazy tossers, who,in a joke, will look for something to be upset about, rather than the humour... Our breed and generation are soon gone. No wonder the World is in a state. Fk em all

The devaluation of the FA cup breaks my heart. Growing up it wouldn’t matter if my team was playing in the cup final or not I would start watching at 9am, build up all day until the 3pm kick off. Now I don’t know who’s playing in the final and what time kick off is. Sad, just sad.

    • @guitarlover302

yes totally agree ! whole day built up from start of the day - now just ruined by money and incredibly poor pundits ☹️ kenneth Wolstenhome RIP was the best
Game is just ruined now with money , foreign players , managers not lasting more than a year !

Cup final day used to be so big, there was live build up from the morning until kick off on both the BBC and ITV. Now some modern day idiots think it’s a Mickey Mouse distraction.

@@thechunkyone7118 🤣🤣 no such thing as Saturday kitchen back then!! Thankfully. It was normally kid’s shows like Saturday superstore, Going Live etc. In the 80’s that is. When the FA cup was still the biggest day of the season. They would have cup final themed shows on from first thing in the morning on cup final day. I can’t tell if your comment was tongue in cheek or not though!!

I never had a choice to support anyone else because I’m a Stratford boy and so is my parents, grandparents & great grandparents and you can only support West Ham. I kept the tradition going with my daughter who’s 24 now. Remember her saying Dad why do I have to support Westham ?? I said we’re do you live she Westham which is in Stratford for those that don’t know. It’s a E15 post code. I said what colour is your school uniform she claret n blue and I said who do I support and your grandad and your great grandad n ya great great grandparents. You see it’s in your blood 🩸 for as much as they break your heart you are always West Ham until you die. There’s a new traditional rear guard who carry the same old Skool values. So don’t despair gents we’re here n more being born. GSB know that loyalty still exists and they milk it. Great interview 💪🏼⚒

Brilliant to watch & listen to these guys talking about their club, as a Wolves fan in his early 60s so much of what they had to say resonates with me. I first went to West Ham in the 72/73 season and stood on the south bank, it was a very scary place to be for a teenager, I remember our coach driver wouldn't drop us off at the ground but left us in Leicester Square & we had to catch the tube to Upton Park, the game ended 2-2 as I remember. I've been there a few times since, the last time when the Hammers beat us in the FA cup 1-0, had a ticket to go last season but the covid put paid to that trip. Good luck to you all, I really enjoyed this video.

I remember May 10th 1980, I was 12. We'd moved away in '75, just after the Fulham final, so my old man (born in Cann Hall in 1910) and I watched it on the box. When Geno nodded it in on 13 minutes my Dad simply shook my hand and winked.
Then, many years later, I took my boy, aged 5, to Wigan when we lost a 2-0 lead and got relegated.
Yet last week we were both doing our nut when Lanzini equalised. COYI.

I am Old school West Ham me and my mates used to walk from Dagenham to to Upton Park every home game when we were teenagers back in the 80’s and go into the chicken run watch the match have a laugh etc, my point is I was at the last home match before COVID kicked in, while the match was playing I got passionate and through despair I was effing and blinding at the play as you do, at half time I went for a beer then came back to my seat only to be approached by 3 stewards and be told that they had a complaint made against me swearing and if I carried on I would be moved from the stadium, as I looked around I saw a family with hamper box a few seats to my side obviously it was them that made the complaint, I explained to the stewards when I went to my first West Ham match in 1975 there was more effing and blinding it’s the passion and it’s so sad that these people who are not fans and don’t understand our passion are killing our team and those joke stewards need sacking too. It ain’t West Ham anymore 😢⚒⚒⚒

That’s very sad. Unfortunately that’s the way our game has gone. Bloody tourists and face painted middle class idiots have taken over our game to such an extent that we can’t even swear in the ground anymore. The club owners love these people though because they’re money. They see these idiots as pound signs. I’m not a West Ham fan but I totally agree with you. It’s the same at virtually every premier league ground. We need to force these people out.

I've had somebody tell me that his mate went and he is old school West Ham was he was told to sit down and stop his swearing by a West Ham Supporter. Thing is when West Ham came to Newcastle in the 80s the crowds jumped from 14-15 thousand to over 25000 and all the nutters came out, then you had the nutters in the pub, so all ways a edge and a buzz, I've went through the progression of changing stands part of grounds through growing up, when we played West ham it was a 8am start and a 11pm finish, West ham away 6pm start Friday 12 midnight Saturday finish, no doubt like irons fans I've seen the ground jumping with 25000 in, then going home buzzing

More of these please, chaps. These are as much West Ham greats as the likes of Bonds, Brooking, Moore etc. They put in the miles, through the good, the bad and the downright shit. Enjoy these men while we have them and listen when they speak. Proper West Ham, enjoyable to listen to and even when we're not crusading to get the GSB cancer out of our club, I'd love a Bubbles and Bill podcast. I know Bubbles isn't the most technologically efficient, but someone set up a venue (Gonzo) and get these boys talking more.

So much of a pleasure to listen to you Gentleman . West Ham fan from Birmingham. So angry what has happened to my club. Everything you have said in the video is so , so right . Those clowns have to get out of the club . They have taken away the history , the traditions & everything that the club has stood for . But West Ham fans , are real fans & will be there when them clowns have gone . My hero was always Alan Devonshire . They to me have insulted legends like Devo . By what they have done to our club . Cannot wait till they have gone out of the club for good .

Well chaps, I really enjoyed your company this morning. As a Gooner, I also have the same anger and frustrations that you have, as I'm sure thousands of fans from our generation and working class backgrounds all over this nation also have. We have seen our clubs taken over by the quick money making corporate machines, full of greed and lies. I long for the Highbury days, but this is because it's where my love affair for my club began. Of course I can now sit in a more comfortable seat and have a great view of the game, but the atmosphere is just not there, You will of course find pockets of both old school and hard core fans, but the majority are very much the modern day fan, and for many of them it is just like going to the theatre. Unfortunately, like many that have moved on from our clubs (I recall we lost a lot of fans when we introduced the supporters bond back in the 80's, which was the start of corporate development), some have stuck with it but are somewhat unhappy and many others have since moved on to non Premiership clubs. Ultimately, we are now the dinosaurs and whilst we remember the greats of the past i.e. Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Clyde Best, Liam Brady, Charlie George and Gus Caesar, to name but a few, todays fans don't know these players, which of course is sacrilege to the likes of us. Anyway enough of this doom and gloom, we are fortunate to have our memories and the opportunity to share these with our mates and grandchildren. looking forward to seeing The Hammers once this Covid is over, why you may ask, cheap seats of course. : ) : ) ; )

Bill is absolutely spot on about fans that turn up late and leave early. I've seen groups turn up late, piss off to get a drink 10 mins before half time, get back late and leave before the end.
It's not exclusive to the current stadium as it happened at the Boleyn too but I've vever understood it.
Being so poor for much of the time I've been going, I've never left early even when getting absolutely pummelled.
And as for other team fans in our ground, what about half and half scarves? The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Every fucking game and no matter where you go. Have a word.
Lastly, I do wonder if people are getting their hopes up in thinking that gsb will go by the end of this season and if they do, we need owners who have a never ending supply of money. We can't have another owner like Cearns, Brown and GSB.

Proper football club. I’m not a West Ham fan but I’ve always respected them for their status as a club of the local community. Unfortunately they’ve lost a lot of that now in moving to that soulless bowl in Stratford. I lived in Forest Gate for a year and used to pass the ground most days. Now it’s flats. That saddens me. Most of the proper grounds are going, to be replaced by shiny new identikit bowls with no atmosphere.

I'm a Coventry city fan, 38 years , through the ups and the downs, ( mainly the downs being a cov city fan lol) but I think west ham are in a very similar position to us. You dont own the ground do you? We had highfield rd, yh an old studium. 30,000 capacity. But it had a soul, an atmosphere. The fans were on top of ya. No matter who came we were confident of a win. And we were in the top flight for 34 years before we were relegated. The stadium got sold off to housing developers and we never built another stadium. We rented the ricoh arena off the Coventry city council. Things wet sour and we had to leave there and play at Northamptons ground, then we came to an agreement with the council and came back briefly. Then we fell out with them again and now we're playing at Birmingham city's ground St Andrew's. The money we got for the old ground has mysteriously disappeared. All in all we're in the shit. Make sure this dosent happen to west ham. A couple of bad seasons is all you need. Relegation got forbid and how many fans will come to the matches at the Olympic stadium? Things start going sour. Stop the rot before it happens fellas
