that's a bit of a naive take. this is just an elaborate, probably more effective way of advertising the products. this even reminds me of shane dawson's mini series on his eyeshadow palette lol. but i don't want to say that it's deceptive, i just think that being a bit skeptical before all details are disclosed is advisable, and for me this definitely comes off as advertisement meant to hype up the products as much as possible without them necessarily being that special. i'm not too familiar with hyram but the grandiose vibe of these videos so far surprises me slightly. and the cuts with africans lol well i don't know if it's just me but seems manipulative/exploitative, especially with someone who made a video specifically about white savior complex and volunteering in africa. these are just my impressions, i don't have an opinion on him or the line but it would be good if people who follow him didn't jump to conclusions so easily

My dear Hyram. I am a 71 year old Canadian grandmother who thinks you would be an awesome grandson. We all have our story to tell and it took a great deal of courage to tell yours. Mine is after 49 years of marriage I discovered my husband was having an affair with a woman younger than two of our kids. I was and still am devastated by his betrayal. He moved out and in the very first global shutdown I started to watch you. You entertained me and even made me laugh which I thought I could never do again. And you made me become interested in skin care. I was always a hit and miss girl. No time to fuss. Well, I had nothing but time. So I purged my old stash of cosmetics and skin care and went on line and I am now a K beauty freak. Caring for myself as you well know is the first step in healing. So I wish you great success and don’t be blinded by the spotlight. Stay true to your authentic self. We are better than our past and greatness lies in our future. I wish you huge success and how about some videos for us plus 65 age group.
No. Is she an author you found helpful? It is a very painful process isn’t it? That of finding your way in the darkness. But Hyram. You are loved and you are worthy and I love your honesty and ability to see yourself with humor. The light shines within you. We have both been to the dark side. Peace be with you Hyram.
Hi there Diana, I do hope the healing process is fast and that you find love and comfort in other places. I’m so sorry to hear your story but it is never too late to do better for yourself and keep growing! All the best of luck on your journey, lots of love 💜
Thank you for the suggestion. I will look at her books. I never ever expected infidelity. It was a total body slam when I found out. I was hysterical for two months and then slowly the hysteria faded away and grief moved in. And it is my constant companion although there are calm moments. So I expect this is part of the process. But the hurt was like nothing I have ever felt before. I still don’t “ get it”. Why did he make such a devastating decision? Maybe I will never understand. @@lucianaromero1612 this is a retinol serum that will last u like 2-3 months at least, it is in fact really affordable. he even once recommended a $80 retinol serum because he said that if u calculate how long it will last u it doesn’t end up being that pricey.
@@lucianaromero1612 yeah but look at the quality of ingredients and hyram would be considered luxury skincare. He’s probably going to spend more on eco friendly packaging and better ingredients
Please people consider that every ingredient is ethically resourced, people who worked on every single product are paid a fair amount wage. I think the price is reasonable :)
Does that mean that regular Inkey List products use ingredients that aren't ethically sourced and people who worked on them don't get paid a fair amount wage?
Packaging from sugar cane, sustainable sourcing of ingredients, taking care of the planet instead of harming it and also giving job opportunities to people who gather these materials, vegan and cruelty free + donating to deforestation fund... And it's only 30 dollars 😮🥰 meanwhile, some fkin la mer that does nothing of the sorts asks for 200 bucks. Thank you Hyram ❤️
I'm curious, does anyone other than celebs actually buy La Mer? It doesn't have any useful active ingredients other than algae, which means it's probably nothing more than a glorified moisturizer. Besides, it includes denatured alcohol and fragrance, which can potentially damage the skin. IMHO it is totally not worth $250+
@@vacationeyes6430 the worst part is, celebs don't even buy it, they get it for free :)) and then la mer advertises it as "look, this famous person is using la mer, you should too" and so people get hooked on that
I’m seeing people fighting in the comments about if the price is expensive or reasonable. Let’s all remember that not everyone has the same financial situation. We can be both proud of Hyram for making such an ethical product and aware that these ethics lead to pricing the product out of the range of affordability for many people. It’s the reality of ethical production that I’m sure Hyram would agree with and spent lots of time considering.
Luckily he’s always suggested more affordable alternatives. It’s his product and he didn’t was to sacrifice any of this core values to make quick money. Good sustainable ingredients and packaging aren’t cheap, cheap packaging and unethical ingredients aren’t good. There’s always going to be something you have to sacrifice when creating a product. Luckily I think he prioritised the best aspects. It’s really inspiring to think what impact this product could have and how other businesses and influencers launching brands could implement these practices.
this brand is gonna sell out SO FAST! just like the inkey list, sticking to their commitment to sustainable sourcing means limited supply, but i'll always support a brand that sticks to that principle.
The fact that this is reality and he really spent time and effort to create good products for us while still being environmentally friendly is insane. RESPECT!
@@bri.anna62510 but you'll only need 4-5 drops of it at a time. Plus, if you use it every other night, it should last a good while. I didn't quite see it, but it looks like it's 50 ml, which isn't bad.
I'd like to know how much from the price goes to "social impact". I looked at the web and I couldn't find anything. It's strange because Hyram speaks so much about it but nothing specific...
I am also curious about how much profits are going to Rainforest Truth. However, Hyram is making a social impact more than just from donating to Rainforest Truth. He spoke in his video about creating the brand on how all of the ingredients were sustainably sourced. Everything he is using, he is making sure is sourced in a fair and respectful way. He also is advocating a positive social impact by his packaging. Which he speaks on a lot. And also the fact that these products are palm free, non-gmo, not tested on animals, etc are all his efforts to make a social impact. You can make a social impact in more ways than donating money. I feel like he is doing amazingly on making such a social impact with his new brand.

I need some clarification here: if this formula has 2% encapsulated retinol (per this video), and the ingredients list on the sephora link provided in this video's description has retinol listed below phenoxyethanol which is limited to 1% max for safe use in Skincare, how can the retinol be at 2%? Am I missing something?
Yes she is an author! I think you will love her. You are amazing and strong!
Thank our all for your support and kindness.
My jaw DROPPED when he said it was the most expensive item in the line at $30. SO MUCH RESPECT!

It most definitely is completely reasonable! Hyram is about to make SUCH an amazing impact on the world🥰🥰
Honestly, considering the impact on deforestation too I was expecting it to be a lot more!!

THIS IS THE COMMENT 🙌
I’m seeing people fighting in the comments about if the price is expensive or reasonable. Let’s all remember that not everyone has the same financial situation. We can be both proud of Hyram for making such an ethical product and aware that these ethics lead to pricing the product out of the range of affordability for many people. It’s the reality of ethical production that I’m sure Hyram would agree with and spent lots of time considering.
Luckily he’s always suggested more affordable alternatives. It’s his product and he didn’t was to sacrifice any of this core values to make quick money.
Good sustainable ingredients and packaging aren’t cheap,
cheap packaging and unethical ingredients aren’t good.
There’s always going to be something you have to sacrifice when creating a product. Luckily I think he prioritised the best aspects. It’s really inspiring to think what impact this product could have and how other businesses and influencers launching brands could implement these practices.

I was wondering the SAME thing. I love Hyram but am curious why he wasn’t specific about this.
@@amandaharrington2208 I also want to know what “elegant” formulas are. What exactly makes a formula “elegant”?
Its probably 1% or something. While it seems low, he also needs to profit. Id assume that 1% per bottle also adds up quick.
Yeah exactly, he makes it so clear and loud that these products will contribute to those causes but they never disclose the percentage.

Aaaaaa Hyram I’m sure you want see this, but I just wanted to say I’m so proud!!! I started watching you at ~300k subs, and it’s been so cool to see your channel grow without you compromising at all on your values.
Through you, I’ve learned how to care for my skin which has translated into healthier habits overall. As someone with a great deal of mental health struggles, the things you’ve taught me are 100% invaluable.
So congrats for how far you’ve come! Can’t wait to see where you are a year from now!!
OMG I'm so excited for this!! I love how you're taking the time to explain to us about the ingredient's in the product and showing us how it won't have a negative impact in our nature. That makes me so happy since it shows how much passion you have for your work. This video radiates so much positive energy and I can't wait for all the products to come out so I can buy them immediately 😁
I wanna see that sunscreen! With dear klairs and all your other recommendations being sold out, I don't know what to buy haha.
So ready for this brand to be my new skincare routine I can trust and support. SO AMAZING! Thanks for all of the advice, research and hard work over the years Hyram! Truly amazing!
Good thing I’m experiencing a moment that’s going to be in the history books
Omggg I’m so exited to buy your whole line!!!
Hi Hyram=) I just got this item today and put it on no less than 15 minutes ago. Wow! Application was simple and my skin is so soft. You are an angel sent from above. Thank you Hyram!!
Yall better be working on a restock right away because that is gonna sell out so fast
I would appreciate to have more in-depth info about the ingredients on the website. Like, how does the rainbow algae reduce hyperpigmentation? I want to know about the mechanisms to determine if a product is legit. Just some feedback from a potential customer.
So happy for you Hyram!!!
I CANT WAIT TO BUY IT. I have been waiting for SO LONG. We are so proud of you!
Anybody else get a little teary-eyed just by watching how passionate he is? I hope to one day find something that makes me feel this way to. I'm so happy for you Hyram! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m so proud of you Hyram!!! People like you make me feel that there are still good people in the world. That you for bringing such a powerful, hopeful message ❤️
How does it one purchase help? How much does it help the rainforests? How much of every product goes to the Inkey list?
+1, and I just want to point out that sugarcane bioplastic packaging is not necessarily something that breaks down into the environment unless under specific conditions (including high heat) that do not characterize most landfills. Sucarcane bioplastic packaging can remain in landfills for hundreds of years; when it breaks down, it releases methane, which is an even more potent greenhouse gas than carbon. It's borderline greenwashing to call this a sustainable form of packaging!
He was saving are skin now he is saving the world for with the purchase of his own skincare!!
I also wanted to express gratitude for making a retinol product so affordable because everything else on the market is quite expensive. Not to mention the ingredient list and texture. Know that we appreciate your thoughtfulness. One or two of those babies are definitely flying to Armenia!
Hoping this will be eventually available on the inkey list site seeing as we don't have Sephora in the UK
I wanted to know if there's a way we can get it in the UK 😭
Can’t wait to hear what Dr Dray has to say about this 👀
I was just thinking the same!!! Lol!
if she doesn’t like it... well im scared for her. hyram fans will attack her for sure 🙄
@@eljacruz to be honest I haven’t seen crazy hyram fans anywhere
Tbh I don't know why she would love this. She loves cheap and affective skincare
@@dessenlover She recommends products mainly based on effectiveness and then by price in my opinion. She has recommended several products from Paulas Choice, who are now considered more of a luxury brand. I’ve tested them and I can definitely say that compared to similar products from the ordinary or cerave, the difference in quality is pretty noticeable. While cheaper products can absolutely be effective, theyre mostly considered just good, not amazing.
Hyram, I'm so excited that you are raising awareness of conservation issues with your product line! Yay for palm-oil free skincare!!!!
He looks so happy by creating his own brand..I am also happy and excited.
