I think black people need more sunscreen. Cuz black colour or any dark colour attracts sun heat. And there is more possibility to burn YOUR skin.So yeah. By the way I'm brown I'm just giving my own thinking. No offence.
Ikr when I was little I use to go to the beach with no sunscreen anywhere on my body and now my legs r permanently burnt and not the same color as the rest if my body😅
@@zahuraakther4360 No, whiter skin with very little or no melanin is THINNER, so it burns quicker than skin with more melanin. Its not just the color, it is the physiology also.

As a black woman I literally just found out this year that we should be wearing sunscreen daily. Since starting sunscreen daily I have seen a HUGE difference in my skin. I appreciate you speaking on this.
Clarissa Hughes so glad you are adding sun screen to your routine. I have worked in the health care industry for over 15 years and unfortunately was never showed how someone of a darker skin tone can react to medications, oxygen loss as to showing the lips being blue , etc. It is 4x harder to detect skin cancer (there are 3 types ) on someone of darker skin, as to someone with a lot lighter skin where the physical marks are in plain site because the markings are darker in color , which can be seen . It’s horrible that for many years POC have been told they wouldn’t need sunscreen and told wouldn’t have sun damage or even get skin cancer because of having darker pigment. Growing up in the 80s/mid 90s I was jealous that POC didn’t need any sunscreen when going out to beaches or pools , as I am here getting lathered in it. But when i became an adult I learned that was not true at all, and that all people have to wear it because of how dangerous the rays were from the sun, but yet to this day the message is still being put out there and it’s wrong and I hope it changes someday.
"What does my little opinion matter?" I guess it didn't hit Hyram that he has 3M subscribers and there are actually a lot of people picks their skincare according to what he says
The fact that you actually took the extra time to even test this on darker skin types is *so appreciated!* Thank you for your voice on this as always!!
This shouldnt be praised. This should be normal. What Extra time? Lol he allready had roomates with darker skin by his side. Btw they r really beautiful. Take care
@@eylulvv i think she means he took extra time when in reality it was really convinient to do it. Also he could have done it this way before because of that opurtunity. Im just saying it is silly thing to say
@@ZgtGirl You're right it should be normal. However dissing people for behaving the right way won't encourage them to repeat the positive behaviour. Basic psychology. You want change, encourage it instead of being jaded and cynical.
Skincare brands should just include a candle with purchases. Light the candle for the sensory experience but keep the fragrance out of the product. Besides it being useless in skincare, sometimes it can be a co-sensitizer that can increase the ability to be sensitive to other ingredients. I really hope she comes out with a fragrance free line. Having a sunscreen is nice, but I recommend folks to check out Dr. Vanita’s YT page. She is a derm and cosmetics formulator who focused on people of color, and hyperpigmentation - she has some great information on how chemical sunscreen reacts on deeper skin tones.
Don't be afraid to be honest! From what I can tell, Fenty Skin is a brand that will likely take your criticism in order to improve their line. And sometimes without criticism, a brand can't move forward.
Hope Gonzalez literally me too. I remember last summer I went to The ordinary to ask why I became so oily after using their serums and they told me that because I don't moisturize and my friend told me she just uses moisturizer every day and I was like eww my greasy face could never.. then I found Hyram who educated me and now I know exactly what products I need to use 😌

“If your brand is going to come out with a fragranced product, at least come out with a fragrance free version as well, so that the entire demographic of people who are sensitive to fragrance have access to it.” 13:16. OMG yessss- 1,000% agree with this statement! Although I have no major allergies to anything there is a lady I work with who has a condition where strong fragrances can cause a severe and life threatening anaphylactic reaction (mast cell activation disorder). It has made me cognizant of what I personally put on my skin and opened my eyes to how many products out there come with added fragrance.
This will be lost in the sea of comments, but anyway, all *Japanese brands* have refills for their products, and the refills are recyclable as well as the original package.

RiRi is paving the way alright. - shes doesn't need a man - stays out of trouble - understands the impact of her products on the environment - does her research about the ingredients in her products - makes it her mission to be an all-inclusive brand - keeps herself and others around her to high standards
I don’t feel bad for him. It’s good practice for everyone to have. Are and manners. Taking offense is not a new thing. It’s human we have emotions and when ppl respect emotions that’s how they talk
She should definitely come out with a fragrance free line and some almost aromatherapy like candles for the experience when doing your skin care, that’s a much better compromise I think
Jesus Duarte as much as I love Rihanna and am 100% here for a brand that pushes for inclusivity (and hell yes for a brand that has a sunscreen for people of color and challenges the perception it’s not needed), “effort” doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is the end product and whether it’s well formulated with effective ingredients in proven concentration. That’s lacking here for me, it all looks pretty basic. I appreciate Hyram being true to his values and not treating it differently than he would if it didn’t have her name attached.
Mira Parker the ingredients are actually pretty good. She could be charging more because a lot of other huge big skin car lines use the same key expensive ingredients and it’s 3x more expensive then hers. I’ve seen all the reviews on this and overall they’re pretty good the only issue people have is the scent, which I don’t mind to be honest but others do. Overall her main idea and focus was having an affordable skin car line accessible for everyone and that is inclusive to everyone for all skin types. (Something a lot of skin care companies still lack)and to have good ingredients for a low price. I think it going to be good
Jesus Duarte if the products aren’t complete trash then they’ll get a good review by most people since Fenty has a great reputation (and I myself love their makeup). That doesn’t make them well formulated. They’re not bad but they’re basic. I’ll ignore the fragrance thing even it’s unnecessary in skincare, can contain dozens of ingredients they don’t how to disclose because it’s labelled under the heading fragrance, and they’re excluding the many people who can’t or don’t want to use fragrance. I get that for some people they enjoy it and don’t have an issue tho so we will ignore that. The cleanser. $25 is already a stretch when there’s so many amazing cleaners in the $5-15 ranger that are PH 5, gentle surfactants, non stripping, etc. cleansers don’t remain on the skin so the skin thing you want is for it to cleanse your skin without disrupting skin surface PH, the skin barrier, and your microbiome while also not stripping moisture and key lipids. If you’re oily or acne prone you may also want something like enzymes or salicylic acid to provide some gentle exfoliation. Fragrance and dye aside, the PH is not provided so I have no idea if it’s in the PH 4-6 range that’s really important. The antioxidants aren’t remaining on the skin to protect it so they’re not helpful here. When you take that way, you’ve got a small amount of cleanser for $25 and they’re just not reinventing the wheel. Skip for Cerave SA cleanser, St Ives Chamomile Calming Cleanser, or LRP Hydrating cleanser and splurge on items that are worth it like a good retinoid. The toner. What’s interesting here is the packaging and the “fat water” concept not the ingredients. Niacinamide is a nice ingredient but it’s in everything. The other ingredients before that are the cheapest of the cheap... water, witch hazel water, and butylene glycol. That’s the bulk of this product. They’re not bad but then nothing else follows and I except to see this in more affordable products. Then we have polysorbate 20 after niacinamide which is used in small concentrations so I know that all the plant extracts following it are not only largely unproven research wise but not in large concentrations. There’s nothing else of more other than the tiniest amount of glycerin. Im going to compare against another hydrating toner just so you can see where I’m coming from and that I’m not just trying to be negative. The Rovectin Activating Treatment Lotion is a favorite of mine and while retail is $28 too it’s often $22-25 and it’s 180 ml vs 150. They’re cruelty free, fragrance free, and vegan so I can suggest this to most people. The goal here is hydration and it’s a thicker toner too but they don’t just stick some random ingredients in there. The hydrating ingredients includes are mainly based on the humectants than make up our skins Natural Moisturizing Factor - glycerin as the second ingredient, 7 different weights of Hyaluronic acid, amino acid arginine, and sodium PCA plus some other fantastic humectants like sorbitol, various glycols, trehalose, and polyglutamic acid. You’ve also got niacinamide, panthenol, and allantoin which all further hydrate and help the skin retain moisture. There are some plant extracts but they’re carefully selected not a random mix - papaya extract, licorice extract, soybean extract, centella asiatica, and chamomile extract. And there’s caffeine which has antioxidant properties. There’s a ton of great ingredients for your $22-24 and they’re all working together to fulfill the products claims which are to hydrate. Or okay niacinamide. It’s in everything largely so can a brand put a new spin on that when there’s so many affordable options with niacinamide? Stratia Skin Rewind is a 30ml serum yes but its $18! and is a perfect example. It focuses on B vitamins. You’ve got niacinamide at the highest concentration shown to be effective (5%) but they’ve paired it with N-Acetyl Glucosamine an ingredient shown to work synergistically with niacinamide and increases its brightening ability in particularly while both are skin identical ingredients that help the skin barrier, increase collagen formation, and brighten. Niacinamide also regulates sebum production while NAG helps normalize exfoliation and helps with elasticity and wound healing. Then we’ve got DMAE shown to decrease wrinkle depth and increase skin firmness and they’ve paired it with panthenol which also works synergistically together. And there’s some other beneficial ingredients too though it’s a simple formula. But they’ve done something interesting with niacinamide and all ingredients are working well together toward a specific goal. The sunscreen. This is probably the better formulation. And the cleanser isn’t bad, just basic and you can find better for cheaper. I love that they’ve released a broad spectrum SPF 30 with no cast and or spreading the message that not only sunscreen is important but it’s important for everyone including POC. Too many influencers don’t even apply sunscreen before makeup tutorials. They’re just limited by being a US release. European and Asian sunscreens have better more stable filters and you know that they provide more than a tiny bit of UVA protection. The random plant extracts are back in this when I really want to see proven antioxidants working synergistically together to protect skin or even DNA repairing enzymes. Or more to back up the hydration claim. Really this one isn’t bad. I just would never buy this vs an incredible $10 Japanese sunscreen or if I compare to US options the Skin Actives sunscreens which have amazing antioxidants and proven ingredients. Nothing here is bad. There’s just nothing new, nothing exciting, and it’s just basic and lacking more complex formulas with ingredients that work together.
fitah__ you’re a little late and no one was upset or even arguing here... like of all the comment threads to waste your time responding to, this ain’t it lol
It's really annoying how someone as respectful, caring, and inclusive as Hyram is so nervous about being attacked for his honest and evidence-based opinions. Cancel culture is full of a bunch of bullies.
Cancel culture and wokeness has invaded everything, to the point that people can't be honest without fear of losing their livelihood. I've moved away from social media as a result, I feel like people have lost their minds 🤯
It’s not just him it is everyone reviewing her products. The majority of the videos is them trying to justify their opinion. Just get to it it’s not quality products. No one has an issue dragging Kylie skin or Jeffree doing skincare.
I wish Hyram would apologize less for his opinions. This man has changed my skin for the better. 2 videos in and I was taking notes and shopping to fix my skincare and alas, decided to try curology since I thought it was just a gimmicky subscription, a month later my cystic and hormonal acne is down by 90%, my dark spots are fading and everyday I have less and less blackheads. I am now wearing sunscreen everyday, moisturizing, avoiding fragrance at all costs. I haven’t had skin like this for years!! I’m so confident without trying to cover every imperfection; thank you Hyram, you are what we need!! Stay great 💗
Ruth Lazo it’s not 😭 I didn’t mean to make it about curology at allll. It’s just that thanks to Hyrams positive Review on that brand itself really made me think “oh well let’s try it” (bc I really thought it was Proactive reinvented) and I saw results pretty soon and again, I haven’t had clear skin like this in a couple of years!! I felt like it decided to get a mention hehe
@@foreignwin9355 Curology was the first moisturizer to work wonders on my acne prone skin in my late teens. Lately, I haven't had as much success as I've gotten older and switched to birth control to control my hormonal acne and that has been better than anything topical.
hyram I'm getting chilled by how considerate and educated you are about black and poc issues with skin care! Literally when you mentioned how black people have been deprived form SPF, goosebumps! Thanks for using your platform in this way!
What I hate the most is when he talks about black people or “people of color” as if we’re some strange animals and can’t be placed in the same group as regular people. Like when he said “if you’re a poc I’m not judging you for using chemical sunscreen” how about, “if you use chemical sunscreen I’m not judging you” no reason for him to include poc so much!!! We’re allllll regular people! We’re all different!!! I’m not the same as the next poc and I’d love to not be labeled as So. That’s the only thing that irritates me about Hyram

Similar experience! I am olive toned but pale. However I dont burn, I just tan as well. I thought I didnt need sunscreen either and Im ashamed I only recently started wearing it as an everyday thing
To be transparent, I’ve seen your videos pop up many times but had no inclination to check them out as many white influencers and TH-camrs do not talk about the affect products have on Black people. I decided to check this one out because I like the objective reviews on the skincare line and I’m pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable you are on Black people and how racism affects the industry. You got a new subscriber out of me!
Rihanna just uploaded her nighttime routine where she explains her moisturizer (SPF) is CORAL REEF FRIENDLY!!!! 🥳 Edit: Rihanna also mentioned since she is from Barbados, coral reefs are incredibly important to her.
@Alejandra Corril but just because Hyram says they aren't doesn't make it true either, remember he has no scientific background, he doesn't even know the difference between a rose hydrosol which isn't sensitizing and water mixed with rose essential oil/absolute. Rihanna had her skincare formulated by chemists who have to comply with the latest regulations.Fenty website says "Made with care for coral reefs; does not contain oxybenzone or octinoxate."
He said that because he is who he is he has researched other chemicals that are harmful to the reefs plus he lives in Hawaii actively. He said he knew that if the product was to be available to all skin types there would be chemicals in it to get rid of the white cast for darker skin tones. He said it was his preference to avoid the chemicals completely and that he knows why it’s in there. Plus Americans have a wide variety of people
This is my first time coming across your channel, and as a black woman I feel that it is a shame you had to apologize multiple times before giving your review. This world is so sensitive about the opinions of others that we have to apologize for having a different view. Also, I understand you are white, but you work in an industry that is for people of multiple races, so you shouldn't have to apologize because you weren't being insensitive to black people. Awesome review!!!
Enrique Cerros Latino is not an race it’s more of an culture/ethnicity you can be white and still be Latino hint have you heard or Afro latinos= black- culture Latino
I love that he differentiates between 'people of colour' and 'Black people' - so often I hear these two terms used interchangeably but honestly there really is a difference!
Wait he said people of color and black people but aren’t black people included in people of color? Black people are literally people of color? I was told POC is everyone who’s not just white? Could you explain cause I feel confused :(
@@cyanidesidesalad originally the term people of color was actually meant to refer to Black people. In recent years though, it's taken on a new life and is now meant to refer to non white people. In regards to the comment above, there is also just a general diff bw what non black poc go through vs. Black people so that's why people are differentiating
Random Modnar recently many black people have pointed out that there should be a difference between POC and black people being that even in non-white communities (i.e latino or Asian) anti-blackness is still as prevalent as it is in white communities. Hope this helps!
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT FRAGRANCE!!!! I worked for Clinique and since their number one top selling point is that everything is fragrance free, it was my job to educate my clients on why fragrance isn't a necessary ingredient and is an irritant and especially so for sensitive skin.
Jon K totally! I watch Susan and others say fragrance is ok. I honestly get hives beyond words. It looks like my face has a full extra layer of red skin. The greatest thing about skin is its PERSONAL and INDIVIDUALIZED. 💜🦋 Thanks Hyram for being a supporter of fragrance-free 💜
Right! some people love fragrance in like everything and I'm just like why??? I feel like things with fragrance leave a sticky-ish residue on my face(I used to use clean & clear)
Meg Genetti Me too! And it also just makes no sense to me why people like the fragrance like I don’t think my face needs to smell good I just wanna have clear skin
I finally managed to get my brother to start watching hyram and I just walked upstairs to see him washing his face with my cleanser while watching hyrams channel. I'm dyingggggggg🤣
I hope she does fragrance free versions. I’m one of those people that absolutely can’t tolerate strong fragrances in facial products, my eyes sting and burn, I break out and sometimes I get contact dermatitis. I was kinda taken aback by the fragrance because Rihanna kept saying how sensitive her skin is. Thanks for the breakdown!
It frustrates me that ppl are afraid to voice their opinions. These companies should be sending out their products for critique so they can make adjustments for their next rollout. I wish fans would understand this. Otherwise, a good review! I won't lie, the seeing your roommates response to the sunscreen really makes it hard for me to not want to buy it as white casting is such a struggle for me... Unless I can find a Korean brand that's relatively cheap and ships to the UK I might get this instead.
heyyyyy there's quite a few sites you can shop from that are uk-based! just google "korean beauty uk" lol you'll find like half a dozen sites. the two i've personally bought from are pureseoul and beauty and seoul though. the latter is where i got the isntree green tea toner and purito comfy water sun screen (they stock the centella one too if you'd prefer that one)! you kinda have to weigh up the pros and cons of the pricepoints. by shopping from yesstyle, for example, depending on how much you're planning to order you can save a bit of money, but for me i'd rather pay a few extra pounds and have my products quicker (my b&s order for the toner and sun screen was with me the same week i ordered it :O plus a lot of the sites offer free postage if you spend a certain amount!) sorry this comment is so longwinded TT___TT i hope i was able to help at least!
Have you considered Purito Comfy Water? Non-nano mineral filters, no to minimal cast, lightweight formulation, and relatively affordable. Shop around on Yesstyle, Jolse, Stylevana, Sokoglam etc for the best prices.
Check on yesstyle, Iherb, look fantastic etc. I personally have never used sunscreen but perhaps the video hyram recommending poc sunscreen will help. A lot of non Korean suncreens don't take the white cast factor into account
You realize there is some fantastic European sunscreens that you could opt for instead of always trying to find "Korean" ones? In fact Europe has some of the most advanced Sunscreen Filters ever made so I don't know why people keep sleeping on European suncreens :( LRP has amazing formulations when it comes to their sunscreens (European versions of course, their American Sunscreen counterparts are horrible because of American FDA laws), specifically the shaka-fluid sunscreen that has a SPF of 50+ and UVA protection of 46 (Extremely High). It also doesn't leave any white cast and is incredibly easy to apply.
Who else wants Hyram to do a truth about Good Molecules? They've recently started doing 'nothing to hide ingredients lists' with a full breakdown of the % of each ingredient!
Yassss! Every time I see a “truth” video, I always ask for a Good Molecules video. I have most of their products so I really want to hear his opinions on it.
I recently found this brand and I love it so far! I have their hyularonic acid serum, niacinamide toner and a tiny sample of their silicone free priming moisturizer. I love it all!
I love that you’re attentive not only to your craft but the culture and environment in which it exists. we’re all stans of badgirl but you continue to stay honest abt the line and aware and compassionate abt the perspectives and success of those who haven’t had access to this incredibly important field of science and business. you’re a star, an absolutely jem and i’m all here for it ! 🤍
All I can say is wow! This is one of the best reviews I've seen. The knowledge that you have and the compassion that you have for people with darker skin colors, blew me away and I appreciate it! I am subscribing right now!
No one should use products with fragrance period. Dermatologists never recommend it and the idea that “bUT mY SkIn dOesNt reACt!!” like honey you will see more damage down the line from it compared to someone who uses fragrance free products. So for all y’all using fragrance free products, keep it up boo ✊🏼😤
xursx i love how hyram is really teaching people on how important it is to take proper care of our skin, many times nobody teaches us how huge it is and how many negative things can happen if we don’t pay attention to it
lourdess :p Yes and i also really like how he’s putting the message out there that it’s normal for guys to want to take care of their skin and also that darker skin tones need sunscreen. My boyfriend is literally so dark yet i’ve managed to convince him to not only wash his face, moisturize, use chemical exfoliation, but i’ve finally managed to get him to wear sunscreen and i even showed him one of hyram’s videos where he explained that yes even those with dark skin can get sun damage!! lol
It’s kinda upsetting to see hyram so scared to show his opinion 😞so far in the comments I haven’t seen anyone upset but I feel like as people that use social media need to appreciate opinions and thoughts that might be out of the general public’s opinion. It’s important to be diverse in products and opinions!! 🙌🏻❤️
Yes! They are so caught up on Rihanna like let's please be real about this product. It's not that great, it's disappointing, especially coming from someone who makes bank and is able to get a team of skincare specialist. Like people are better off finding other cheaper alternatives that will actually do justice to their skin. Also, who is this aimed at in the market? Yea, it's aimed at everyone and not everyone has the same skin type and there is no universal skincare product. I recommend u watch out for Penny Tovar's review. She is always honest and real, knows her ingredients, and is very informative, she did one on Kylie Skin.
I understand his fear. An esthetician got death threats over Twitter, just for saying Fenty Skin broke her out. Not sure what people expected her to do. Lie?
@@MC-ko2mx If that is true that's so sad. Probally bc it is twitter. I stan by her though that's why I recommended watching Penny's vid when it comes out she's been honest on insta. about it and said the truth. This is bad like just say this skincare is just not it. Notice how the comments always mention Rihanna too. People are being extreamly protective, if this was someone eles they wouldn't go so soft on them. For example, someone said that they actually liked the fragrance and got many likes even when it's always been a big no in skincare. Rihanna's name is on this, did she not research? Makes it seem like she didn't care and left it for other ppl to create while she makes money on it bc of her name.
Abbygail Kulp I agree, however he needs to consider the fact that that was a PR package, and stay conscious of that. If he wants to continue to stay on skin care lines lists that send out PR packages of their products, then he has to be a little more discreet with opinions, and cover the bases of working around not getting hate by sharing his inst opinion. A company isn’t going to go out of their way to be completely bashed, so he really hast to focus on the positives and that he’s just being honest and that’s unfortunate but I do understand that.
this was one of the BEST reviews I've ever seen on YT....it was honest and transparent and you gave information so people can make their own decisions about trying the products.
He is. Also try Dr. Vanita Rattan's channel. She's a warrior for POC using the right skincare. Her channel is created for POC seeking advice on skincare. :)
Yea but literally everyone wants to keep tLking about "iTs bAd cAuSe iT hAs fRaGrAncE" when they dont even have the items and use kylie skin this is why i wish i could just bomb earth.
Awee. Don’t be nervous! Yes you have to be sensitive to all races but you don’t have to apologize for you opinion. I agree with having a fragrance free option so hopefully Riri considers!
Quite frankly if a product is good it's just good, if a product isn't all that then it isn't...idc if it was produced by Rihanna. An honest opinion is an honest opinion.
I can’t believe she did the refillable packaging for the sunscreen. That’s major! I really hope other brands follow. I can’t use it either because of the fragrance. Gives me migraines 😩 but if she comes out with a fragrance free girlllll I’m all over it! I love her and her brand. It’s unrealistic to expect every product to be perfection. No brand is like that. But she just started with the skincare and I expect she’ll expand and I’m so excited to see what she does! And the packaging is 😘 *chefs kiss*
First of all you’re freaking awesome! Didn’t have to apologise for your honesty at all. Honestly I’ve never been in love with reviews like your ones. You’ve helped me a lot in learning about chemicals that goes onto my skin, which are good and which are toxic because I broke out with acne in my adulthood. So please please don’t apologise! Keep helping the world be a better place. 🥰🥰
As my name states I knew that I always need a sunscreen. Surprisingly, as a black woman I peel and burn especially on my nose. The problem with sunscreen and black women it’s hard to find because, ALOT of sunscreens leave a grayish casket ready residue.. this actually doesn’t. Might I add you get the highest of high regards “with POC and black skin” it totally different and thank you for making that important difference. As it’s not the same.
It doesn't need to be a specific brand. Look up the ingredients and see if they're ones that are beneficial to your skin. The more you try things, the more you'll learn what works. Staying away from fragrance and alcohol (drying ones) tend to be best since it can be harmful to the skin.
Janine Colon thank you for saying that. Honestly, i got the biore cleanser before i started watching hyram and never even thought about looking at the ingredient list. Idk i thought as long as it says that its against acne i didnt think of it as anything bad really. But i will definitely start caring more about ingredients!

Not only did Rihanna eat up Kylie cosmetics with fenty beauty but also ate up Kylie skin with fenty skin 🙈 Rihanna really thought about everything: packaging being safe for the environment and more convenient to use, ingredients, very inclusive, affordable and not so many products! (I’m in no way comparing or dragging two women, Kylie and Rihanna, I’m just comparing their brands) edit: thanks for likes loves 🥺❤️
I have been having terrible acne on my chin and I've been trying to figure out what my skin needs for the past few months and nothing was really helping. I started off by getting the moisturizer and it started to help my skin feel and look better so I got the rest of the products and within a week my acne is almost completely gone! I personally love it and look forward to more from Riri 💘
You need to spend less time apologizing. You don’t need to placate people. It’s ok to have an opinion it’s why ppl trust u. You have conviction and that’s what we appreciate.

I really love how you talk about the pros and cons of fenty skin and not only cons. I don’t think anyone should hate on you for sharing your opinion because one it’s your opinion and two just because you love the products and support the person who made it doesn’t mean that the products don’t need more improvements. The thing about running a business is making sure you keep making improvements to your products and not stopping it because you have products. Also, you should keep making improvements to attract varieties of costumers.

Exactly, fragrance is not good , specially for POC, because it can irritate the skin and that could lead to hyperpigmentation.
She just released everything WITHOUT FRAGRANCE today!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
People can’t expect you to be honest EXCEPT when it’s their favorite celebrity. I’m glad you did your best to review this fairly.
Well it’s Rihanna she always put so much effort in her work
Jesus Duarte as much as I love Rihanna and am 100% here for a brand that pushes for inclusivity (and hell yes for a brand that has a sunscreen for people of color and challenges the perception it’s not needed), “effort” doesn’t matter to me.

Yes I too appreciate his sensitivity and awareness of the difference
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT FRAGRANCE!!!! I worked for Clinique and since their number one top selling point is that everything is fragrance free, it was my job to educate my clients on why fragrance isn't a necessary ingredient and is an irritant and especially so for sensitive skin.
Hyram, we don't have opinions that's why we need yours 😂
😂😂
You’re a free woman though
Hyram: It’s ok if you don’t like my opinion
My whole opinion based off of HIS opinion😂😅
Omg yes!! 😂😂😂
Same if hyram says no Its instantly a no from me 💆🏻♀️💅🏼
Literally
LOL yess!! I trust his skincare advise with my whole heart! And face :D
same😂😂
Totally agree with making fragrance-free versions. Everyone’s happy.
I hate fragranced skincare. Since I stopped using it I forgot about acne and irritation.
I know Riri wants the experience of skincare to be wonderful but if they are fragrance-free, i won't even second guess myself to buy them hahahahah...
I finally managed to get my brother to start watching hyram and I just walked upstairs to see him washing his face with my cleanser while watching hyrams channel. I'm dyingggggggg🤣
😭😭😂😂😂
That is ADORABLE. Also, you are a good sister.
Tell him I’m proud of him HAHAAAHAH
YEEEESSS!!! I'm screaming, I love this
AS YOU BOTH SHOULD!!!!!💖💖💖🙏🏼😭
I hope she does fragrance free versions. I’m one of those people that absolutely can’t tolerate strong fragrances in facial products, my eyes sting and burn, I break out and sometimes I get contact dermatitis. I was kinda taken aback by the fragrance because Rihanna kept saying how sensitive her skin is. Thanks for the breakdown!
same! i’m a little disappointed
Hopefully she makes one without fragrance
Same, it upsets my skin really badly!!
I learned that fragrance is bad for my skin the hard way. Long story short, I used a moisturizer with fragrance.
Unless I can find a Korean brand that's relatively cheap and ships to the UK I might get this instead.
heyyyyy there's quite a few sites you can shop from that are uk-based! just google "korean beauty uk" lol you'll find like half a dozen sites. the two i've personally bought from are pureseoul and beauty and seoul though. the latter is where i got the isntree green tea toner and purito comfy water sun screen (they stock the centella one too if you'd prefer that one)!
you kinda have to weigh up the pros and cons of the pricepoints. by shopping from yesstyle, for example, depending on how much you're planning to order you can save a bit of money, but for me i'd rather pay a few extra pounds and have my products quicker (my b&s order for the toner and sun screen was with me the same week i ordered it :O plus a lot of the sites offer free postage if you spend a certain amount!)
sorry this comment is so longwinded TT___TT i hope i was able to help at least!
@@eatit6526 Definitely an option and European sunscreens are much more accessible in the UK.
Hope OP reads your comment.
Who else wants Hyram to do a truth about Good Molecules? They've recently started doing 'nothing to hide ingredients lists' with a full breakdown of the % of each ingredient!
Rebecca Shortt yessss!!
Yassss! Every time I see a “truth” video, I always ask for a Good Molecules video. I have most of their products so I really want to hear his opinions on it.
Never heard of this brand but imma look into it now 😂
My entire skin care line is Good Molecules!! Love love love 💘 Part of me wants them to stay low key so they don't run out of my favs lol

Don’t sweat Hyram. You are allowed to say your honest opinion. People should not come for you for YOUR opinion on skincare products.
i agree. these people come for every little word people say, it’s so unnecessary
Is fragrance nice? Yes.
Does fragrance exclude a whole demographic from using a product? Also yes.
@@xursssulaxx yea totally, like fragrance should be all skincare routines nemesist.
lourdess :p right!! our skin is our body’s largest organ and we need to be considerate about what we put on it ✨
xursx i love how hyram is really teaching people on how important it is to take proper care of our skin, many times nobody teaches us how huge it is and how many negative things can happen if we don’t pay attention to it
lourdess :p Yes and i also really like how he’s putting the message out there that it’s normal for guys to want to take care of their skin and also that darker skin tones need sunscreen.
Lie?
Im a old fan before 1 million and he was never like this xD but now he has more eyes and it Rihanna that why xD
I can’t get over how uplifting you are towards black peoples, there’s not a lot of popular influencers are like that

Quite frankly if a product is good it's just good, if a product isn't all that then it isn't...idc if it was produced by Rihanna. An honest opinion is an honest opinion.

Why is nobody talking about Tony’s EYESSS. They are GORGEOUS!
I literally did a mini gasp when he showed up!!!
He's simply stunning!

Stephanie Sarah how is throwing away the refill better than throwing away the whole bottle? I don’t understand. You still have waste.
@@tiffanymichelle3130 refill bottle means you send back the bottle to get it refilled rather then buying a whole new bottle
Sameee the strong fragrance or even just a little gives me a headache 😂

First of all you’re freaking awesome! Didn’t have to apologise for your honesty at all. Honestly I’ve never been in love with reviews like your ones. You’ve helped me a lot in learning about chemicals that goes onto my skin, which are good and which are toxic because I broke out with acne in my adulthood. So please please don’t apologise! Keep helping the world be a better place. 🥰🥰
The environmentally friendly packaging also encourages you to repurchase her products, v clever marketing for repeat buying as well!
Anyone notice that the ingredients that pop up on the screen are the same color as his hair. in his previous videos it was blue and now it’s purple!!
That's good graphic design.
I noticed that! Makes it pop out more love the purple aesthetic
I am pleased with the details 😍
great attention to detail 😭♥️
I guess now he also needs to wear a purple shirt to fit the purple theme lol
purple hair.. purple products. we needed a purple shirt to suit the packaging of the products!
Zainab Alderazi on TikTok he said blue is the only color that makes his skin color accurate on camera lol he films on phone
That’s because you’re fair skinned
Try Cotz we are the same tone it has no white cast

I honestly need “The truth about biore”, cuz these biore cleansers have been sitting on my shelf and idk what ur opinion is

too much fragrance and alcohol, i wouldn’t reccomend
Remember dude if it ain't The Ordinary or CeraVe ....it ain't good
It doesn't need to be a specific brand.

I honestly don't understand why skin care products needs to have fragrance in it. Like, if I wanted fragrance I'd go out and buy one.
Tan Lan some functional ingredients like emulsifiers, preservatives and even actives can have an unpleasant smell, in some cases they’re used to hide their smell. Also some essential oils do have clinically proven soothing properties ( Pubmed medical database)
Candyprincess971 essential oils and fragrances are not the same thing
yoadrienne actually yes, essential oils are the fragrant component of plants so they are a natural form of fragrance :) hyram confirms this around 14:00
Unpopular opinion here but I love fragrance in my skincare for the sensorial experience. My skin isn't sensitive to it. It's not a need by any mean but I like it, I find my routine more enjoyable with it
There are actually some products out their that reek of alcohol, fragrance just masks that smell.

I don’t think anyone should hate on you for sharing your opinion because one it’s your opinion and two just because you love the products and support the person who made it doesn’t mean that the products don’t need more improvements. The thing about running a business is making sure you keep making improvements to your products and not stopping it because you have products.
