The CBR650 F stock exhaust is quiet. Question: After the install did you Tune the bike? I understand when replacing the stock exhaust system with an after market exhaust system Tuning the bike is necessary as it will prevent the bike from overheating and misfiring.
Bike was already tuned and derestricted prior to having exhaust fitted. It was tuned to suit a full exhaust (a donor exhaust was fitted at the time) and the tube file saved. Then retuned for the stock exhaust. Once the exhaust was fitted, I went back to the tuner with the bikes ecu and he reloaded the map onto the ecu from when it was tuned wit the exhaust
It's a nice looking system but the springs that show up underneath the engine casing really distracts. Just doesn't look as smooth as the original header pipes.
@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk Question. How did you remove and re-install the O2 sensor. I know the cable can get twisted up when removing it. How did you avoid that?
@orlandoflores7720 just simply unplugged it before unscrewing it. The screw it into the new exhaust before fitting the exhaust. Once the new exhaust was installed just plug it back in
@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk Thanks!! One last thing. I took off the OEM system and did not see any gaskets. I ordered new ones just in case but now I'm not sure if I should use them or not. No gaskets fell down after pulling off the old headers and I don't see any in the block.
@vansonmafeet734 very strange mate it should definitely have some. They sit flush with the head they don’t stick out. If there isn’t any there, definitely use the ones you bought
Hey mate, did you get the engine light appear after changing the exhaust due to an o2 sensor issue or anything ? I changed my exhaust to a yoshi and had the engine light pop up. Mate said it was the o2 sensor eliminator
I didn’t as the bike already had a tune prior to fitting the exhaust. So my exhaust parameters were already changed as I knew I’d be doing the exhaust later. But yes, with a standard tune, it will throw the engine light on, as the O2 sensor is detecting different flow, and different emissions compared to what it was calibrated for from the factory
Did you have much trouble removing baffle ? iv asked honda to remove before they fitted the exhaust and they wouldnt said they didnt want to damage it.
It is a very very tight fit to get the baffle out. I found using to big flat blade screwdrivers down the centre hole works best when you pry on them in opposite directions as well as jiggle at the same time. Having said that, it’s still got quite a nice sound with the baffle in
Just used the handle bar mount and mounted it on the left side, just inside of the clutch lever in the handle bar. I’d take a photo and show you but I don’t own the bike any more 😞
@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk I never understood why people do all that work to a bike only to sell it soon after, I've been riding over 30 years and own the same bike, it is by far one of my favorites of all time.......Do you regret selling it?
@michaelsalice9952 very very much so mate. I miss this bike so much. For me, it was perfect. Loved how it road, comfortable, good power, and loved the look. Wish I could have it back. That’s amazing you’ve been on the same bike that long. Wow!.

I personally like the look of the springs, almost a bit of that classic race bike look. But have had others say they aren’t a fan of

@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk thanks for that . I think it defo needs to come out just because of the way it looks with it in
Hahaha most yeah it def doesn’t look great hey.
Most welcome mate
How have you mounted the quadlock? I used the stem mount, but I think it is causing a buzzing noise but i couldnt see where a bar mount would go.

What indicators do you have bro?
They are a Smokey version of the 2020 / 2021 CBR650. You can check them out in more detail in one of my older videos when I installed them in the bike
Das ist nicht cbr 650r das ist cb650
