- So, Mike from @makecutlerygreatagain1884 sent me a cool knife. We get into a look at that after I highlight a few folks and things I have to be thankful for today. Particularly, I recently hit the 400 subscriber mark. So, I want to say thank you to everyone who has decided to join me on this journey. Hopefully I can continue to entertain and, hopefully, bring you some information that will be of benefit to your daily life.
I also received channel sticker from the one and only, Singing Toad (the originator of the knife community Thankful Thursday open tag. Not only that, I also received channel stickers from Mickey of Hillbilly Ridge Outdoors, who is another great member of this community.
Truly, a Thursday to give thanks.

Congratulations my friend, it’s a long hard climb, each subscriber is well earned. I look forward to your adventures daily, you have brought a lot of laughter and joy to my life. I just ordered three slips and a Horizontal sliding sheath from Ed at Legacy knives in Cape Cod. I will shoot you one as a thank you for all you have done for me. I actually found two electricians knives at our Antique Mall, I bought them for my wife’s brothers for Christmas, they saved us a fortune by rewiring our entire house for free. Great stuff Brother- Congrats on 400🎉love those stout Utility Slip joints 👍 boy that’s a clean one! The ones I have seen stamped such and issued during war were typically Wood scales. I will have to Sub the singing Toad!!

I had one similar to this, same manufacturer, but the lock was on the screwdriver blade, and the blades were 'almost black' steel....
It was Hard to get an edge, but razor sharp and stayed that way a long time..... I was in the Army when I "acquired" it. 1974-'80.
Heya. The lock on this one is on the screwdriver as well. Maybe I didn't present that well. I often mix my words up. I'm pretty sure the blades have carbon steel. That would account for the darkening and the tougher time sharpening. Perhaps the ones you had came with the bail further up the handle. Were they stamped TL-29 on the handle? And in those days I wouldn't be able to find anyone who would apprentice a female. So my brother got the job with the electric company & was a lineman for awhile & now a big wig! Anyway, thanks for sharing! 😺⚔️

My ladies youngest daughter is on a wait list to study to be an electrician. Hopefully it works out for her. Thankfully, we're in a better place now as far as people being able to do what they want. Those knives were standard issue to USAF crew chiefs back in my day 69-73.
