Battlefield and Call of Duty are two of the most infamous FPS franchises of all time, and the question always pops up for fans - which game is better overall?
In this video, we’re putting every single Battlefield and Call of Duty game against each other in a head to head comparison based on which year they were released. The franchise with the better game gets a point.

Yeah bro , even if i prefer the military shooters I have over 900 hours on Hardline. I loved the multiplayer. About the campaign though , I finished it of course, it had some above average moments but nothing really interesting overall.

11:30 oh wow black ops vs Bad company 2. That is a really hard choise... Probably BC2 for me, less frustrating than some of the shit in Black ops, still one of my favorite call of duties though.
I honestly feel like black ops vs bad company 2 breaks down to your multiplayer game preference. I prefer battlefields multiplayer with the larger scale battles and vehicles so I would obviously play BC2 over black ops. But I did love black ops

Holy i loved both soo much as a kid , when i was 9 i had both and i played cod more because i could only play campaign and it was more fun in bo even though i also played tons of bf campaign.i remember how i cried when bo was stolen and how i went on to play bfbc2 and eventually, bfbc2 online.I had over 2000 hours when i decided to buy bo again and try online , i played a few hundred hours but i eventually went back to bfbc2 , i currently play bfbc2 and only bfbc2 and i got almost 6000 hours in multiplayer. I thought because i ayed so much cod when i was younger i would for sure enjoy it more but strangley i dont
@@nappy5853Sry im late but I've also had the same feeling like you do but for any COD and BF game the campaign for COD is unbeatable when choosing but when it comes to the multiplayer BF had the upper hand because like really who doesn't like seeing your teammate in a tank taking all of the rounds while you stay behind it.
For me, storywise, it's CoD. While gameplay, I prefer BF. While I still have a clear memories about comrade stuff, the Mason's number, Shepherd, etc, I have fun time to learn how to use snipers in BF2, how chaotic maps can be, resurrection ritual that is done by Medic (jeez, my favorite class) and they're funnier than thinking how I could get killed in CoD in the strangest way possible. For me, BF stories doesn't give a mark too much, at least until BF1.

I liked the bf3 campaign and with bf1 i would put it as the best. About 6 hours long, longer than most, fun missions with tanks airplanes and both large and urban warfare. It also had an interesting story but it was dragged back with bad characters.

Not gonna lie I’m not the biggest fan of the battlefield war stories style. It was okay but I just didn’t care for it. I understand having different characters to play as but I’d rather it be like on the classic modern warfare games where you just go from one character to the other
@@paytonputteet4446 well, me too. But at least it delivers "training" before jumping into MP. While I am not fan of MW usage of silent protagonists (just not my cup of tea), the stories are quite stellar. And one thing that differs the usage of many MC between and BF is how they're connected. BF has MCs that aren't connected each other. While MW's MCs have it, from brother-in-arm to connected to a distant one but still connected in one timeline that has cause-and-effect events.
This video should have been called I prefer Battlefield over CoD 🤣 which is legit because so do I! but as a BF only player even I disagree with some of these wins for the BF games xD

@@KipchakWarmongeronly battlefield I enjoy is battlefield 1 that’s it I currently still play it I’ve played battlefield 3 it’s aight and 4 was pretty good I think battlefield in general is corny with its campaign /story telling. While in call of duty the campaigns have amazing storytelling Rn call of duty is just better than battlefield battlefield is on the decline plus Zombies itself pretty much better than all battlefields combined
@@ez1582 i didn't said battlefield's storytelling is better. İ'm enjoying gameplay mechanics, big-scale warfare feeling and graphics of battlefield. Only cod game that i love is cod warzone and mw2 remake. Other old cod games is nothing when you compare them with BF3, BF4 and BF1. My personal opinion.

I don’t think dice will ever be able to top what they did with bf1. That game was just truly amazing. Really sucks that bf1 2016 graphics on older gen consoles is still better than 2021 bf2042 graphics on new console.

The weird thing is why did battlefield copy cod with being rushy af like dice always used to take there time with battlefield games and they would take about 4 to 5 years but bf 2042 was wayy to big to be rushed like that 4 years was not enough to make a masterpiece like 2042 could have been if they just sticked with bf 3 and 4 multiplayer the 4 different classes and didnt add specialists and if they atleast gave us a campaign that continued from bf 4 it would have been amazing they needed like 1 or 2 years more and they could have made a really good battlefield game but it is what it is now we wait 5 years for the next one
@@Remy-eu8fm The staff at Dice is for the most part fairly new. A big chunk of veteran developers left during 2042 development. And there's the fact that Dice is under EA. And in EA nobody knows any-fucking-thing about videogames.

I have to disagree with black ops. It had the best customization ever made and one of the most iconic stories ever made. Bad company was amazing but if anything I'd say it's a tie. Also I would say mw3 is not in any cod fan's top 3. I don't think you understand cod well enough but I can appreciate the attempt of the video and was still entertained.
The video wasn’t an attempt it was correct. You are putting the cod formula(same game every year) against battlefield which produces some of the best games. It may have slowed down recently but so has cod.

Bruh u didn't understand how this vid works. This vid is based on how both games innovated. Sure, COD BO is so great both campaign and multiplayer. But in terms of gameplay and story, Battlefield BC innovated more from their previous predecessor which is good for a series.

At least you can have fun moments in the game. Vangaurd however is so much of a copy that it hurts. The campaign is so bad, the zombies isn’t even zombies. They only made the game so they could put it into warzone

Sorry but I can’t agree with the battlefield bad company vs black ops 1. You missed out on so many key points of the game like wager matches, zombies, many multiplayer features, it just felt skimped out on. I enjoyed both games don’t get me wrong but I enjoyed and played more black ops as time went on.

2042 is kind of a mix. In some ways it looks great, but a lot of it feels dated. Definitely didn’t blow me away like BF1 did example
Bf1 was the first game to make my fan noise of pc.such a great game and story telling.war situation was described so well that i used it for my literature exam describing after Blenheim
Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, and World at War are EASILY on par with the Bad Company series. Like to be honest I feel a lot of people are really biased in favor of Battlefield.

But still BC2 in 2010 offered greater team work and better war experience than BO. BC2's destruction, atmospheric chaos, rush gamemode and Audio design are top notch at that time. Thus, a Overall better gameplay experience than BO's multi-player.
For me personally COD was the winner up to Bad Company. Since that game I was hooked to battlefield.
Modern Warfare 2016 took it back from bfv though. That's about it for me haha, bfbc2 and bf3 took over my teenage years.

I have played both series over the years and both are amazing but COD gor boring after MW2 the only thing that kept me playing was zombies cause that was fun but Battlefield is amazing up to BF1 after BF1 it started declining but man I still play BF1 and it's just so good so Battlefield is my favorite FPS over COD

My first Battlefield was BF 3, but my first REALLY played shooter game was Battlefield 1. It’s a masterpiece. It had each unique faction with their canonical maps (frick you Battlefield 5!), ecstatic, and gives you a feeling how bloody, dirty and meaningless WWI was. I frickin love this game!

While I agree with most of your opinions I gotta say the structure of this video was very flawed. Call of duty is a yearly series while battlefield isn’t, so you should have compared the current cod to the current battlefield, not giving it no points becase there was no new battlefield. I don’t mean to hate, I like your other videos I just felt like this one was not set up very well.
It was tough to choose because if we did give free points CoD won automatically simply from all of the years where there wasn’t a BF game. You’re saying a new CoD would face the same BF game multiple years in a row? Interesting idea but idk about that either… it’s a tough concept to do fairly with the mismatch in release volume
@@PattycakesGG I think that represents the gaming landscape more accurately. At least for me personally, I get cod games sometimes and battlefield games every time so I always compare the new cod to the current battlefield to see if it’s worth a buy or not. Obviously they are vastly different experiences but I usually don’t play them both at once.

Get Bf4 and Bf1 in summer sale, it should only be a few bucks and it's defenitely worth it. Althoug it may be frustrating to play against tryharders in the beginning.

Fun fact: I love the first BF games, because they have offline bots, so you can still play them today even without internet. In modern day, the exact opposite is the case. While BF got rid of a bot mode with Bad Company in 2008, COD first introduced them in Black Ops in 2010. From there on every COD included the option to play against bots. The latest Battlefield 2042 returned to having bots, but the whole game (even singleplayer) requires to be online.
The Call of Duty Franchise may win the war or attrition. They have more resources which allow them to maintain annual releases. Making highly technical shoots is badass, but playing the safe arcade shooter route like Call of Duty favors allows the COD developers to listen to community feedback and apply changes to the base games.

Im not gonna even bother finishing the video simply bc u keep purposely skipping the good cods. Im a fan of both series equally. It depends on the day and if i want somethin a lil more realistic or the arcade cod style. The fact u purposely skipped cod 4 and didnt give them a point is nuts and tells me what the videos gonna turn into. Idec if bf has long release dates. Cod 4 simply cant be skipped and a real cod 4 fan would know that. Cod4 essentially is the grandfather to the gun customization we all love even tho it was simple it was more than prior. Battlefield bias in the video, Black Ops was the better selling game vs bad company 2 and the single player campaign for black ops was one of the best stories to date at the time for first-person war shooters. Not to mention Nuke town in the multiplayer.
Man I would say I’m more of a BF fan but as much as I love BFBC2, BO1 should have definitely got the point, BO1 is much more of a memorable game than BFBC2
If two teams are supposed to play and one doesn't show, that's a forfeit. By my count, COD forfeited one year and Battlefield forfeited five years. So COD wins. Easy.
I mostly agree with this list. I think Battlefield V is better than Black Ops 4. Blops 4 was trash. I love the first 3 but 4 sucked. Battlefield V still has people playing it. I will admit that it launched like shit but it ended up being pretty solid.
I have to say BC2 is my favorite Battlefield and Black Ops is my favorite Call of Duty. Both in 2010 - what a year!

For the most part I don't disagree with your list with two exceptions. 1. Throwing out a COD game just because BF didn't make one isn't really fair. In fact considering which games you threw out, its borderline disrespectful to how those games changed the industry, they should have at least been carried on to the next year or awarded half a point. 2.
