- Three whistleblowers are warning of potential danger on Northeast Florida’s iconic drawbridges: downtown Jacksonville’s Main Street Bridge, St. Augustine’s Bridge of Lions, the Crescent Beach Bridge, and the Ortega River Bridge.
You know I think it's kind of ironic that they say that there has been no accidents in recent years related to the tenders. I'm pretty sure the family of a woman who died last year in Florida as she was walking across a bridge that was drawn up when she was walking across it would highly disagree with that. And if I'm not mistaking I believe it was the bridge tender that was held accountable for it.
Very important story/issue. The lady crying with no tears we can do without...
People are tired of being Underpaid slaves for companies that dont care about us this country is had enough
How many people need work in this city? How is it possible they dont have enough staff? Im sure the training isnt that complicated its gotta be a marketing issue
Also being over worked and under paid isn't worth your mind and soul you feel like a robot being treated like that and well sorry but not sorry when I say people don't care anymore if the people around us stop caring about us why should we care about you
Why doesn't FDOT run it? It's their responsibility.
Privatization. Private does it cheaper, don't ya know! "Do more with less". bulls#!@
This is horrible! It would be better to work at McDonald's and the pay would be the same. Its that damn "do more with less" that is NOT safe.
We need to have these automated and remotely controlled from the DOT operations center
