TH-cam keep the desktop studio dumbed down to make uploading shorts on desktop useless, no thumbnail selection just forcing you to do it via a dumb smartphone. Considering the very strict TOS these days I wouldn't be uploading anything that shows children in pools. Thats classic demonetization stuff

@@CraigKoppel I actually figured it out, a friend from work helped me. You have to go into settings, find TH-cam and allow TH-cam to access your gallery.

What to do then is going onto TH-cam shorts, scroll through some until you can find one where you can save the sound, save it, and as soon as you do there should be a pop up, click on it, and then figure it out from there❤

You say it doesn't make a difference what you're device is. And that should be correct, but then you show how to do it on your phone and it does NOT look the same as on the computer.

Hi Gia! Make sure you’re uploading a video that’s under 60 seconds for it to be recognized as a Short. If it’s still posting as a full video, try using the ‘Create’ button in the TH-cam app to upload directly as a Short.

I got completely different options by following the exact same procedure. This video doesn't account for anything but the most common phone operating systems. Not even a mention about that possibility. Not a thorough video at all and a waste of my time.
