Another refreshing example of a small displacement engine that looks mean and ready for action against the big bores. This little Suzuki GN250cc motorcycle looks as big as any 500cc to 650cc single engine bike. What kevan Cahyadi at Solace Motorcycle has done is truly magical. Transforming a small 22hp 129kg weakly looking bike to a protein creatine supplement muscle building stud is just as hard as taking an over weight 289kg bagger bike and transforming it into a lite athletic low calorie 100 meter sprint race ready bike.

If the form is not everything, it is almost everything. I am passionate about small displacement motorcycles. They are the concentration of all the virtues and benefits of a motorcycle. First, they are cheap, resistant, there are many, they work very well in urban traffic and better on secondary roads with many curves and beautiful landscapes and last but not least they take up very little space in a garage. The Suzuki GN 250 was the motorcycle for many companies to send small packages. They are not rare, there is one in a butcher shop that 20 years later is still used for home delivery very close to where I live. Of course this project made my heart beat faster, it has everything I love about a 250 ccc motorcycle transformed into a cafe racer and even the magic of the explosion inside the tank gives it a touch of originality that very few projects can have. I like everything, starting with the color and the details that give it the proportions that are required to attract the eye immediately. Even the rain gives it that wild touch!

I own a 2012 GN125H and I never thought it could be converted into a Cafe Race. I've seen them in their 125 and 250 versions and they look amazing.

Own an F4, a Ducati Monster 800se, and a 100th Anniversary Harley. But still LOVE little250's. Theyr'e just FUN!!!! My first motorcycle was a Suzuki SR250 Marauder, so this vid brought back good memories of "Suki". Hope this vid inspires potential new riders, into buying a bike, and learning about "wind therapy". Aint what you're riding. It's that you are riding. And that you can transform most any bike into something awesome, from very humble beginnings. I think it is more difficult to achieve a good cafe racer look with the small displacement machines so when you do get a successful build, like this one, you really know the builder has hit the ball clean out of the park.

If you sample the traffic conditions, other road users and road conditions in Indonesia you will see that a large bike can not be used to it's potential, the Suzuki 250 does the job for economy, size, speed limiting road conditions.
There are a lot of large bikes available at 100% import tax, high road tax and servicing, they can never be used as they would be in the US or Europe..

I really like your videos man, in Indonesia we really like content about motorbikes, especially about modifying motorbikes, one of which is cafe racer.

As a custom GN250 owner, what upgrades to the engine were done? And I find that the short wheelbase is only an issue when cruising at higher speeds. Gotta admit, one of the best GN250 builds I've ever seen!
Here in indonesia we really adore cafe racer style, especially with small displacement engine. You can find this tipe of custom bike in all over the districts because it suite with the budget, but looks bad ass
More like because small displacement (100-250cc) bike is basically all we got for mass market lol, there's really not much choices above 250cc 😂. But hey all those bike especially the Hondas had simple, basic and easy to customize frame.
