I had a knee replacement 60 days ago and I've never felt, walked, or ran better. Pain was uncomfortable first 2-3 days - then every day it got less and less. Its no biggie! I can walk 3 miles a day now and do whatever I want. Couldn't do that before.
Consider yourself blessed! I had a TKA 5 months ago and still hate going to the grocery store or walking a lot anywhere. Better check with your Dr. about the running though because I was told its a no go.
I need both knees done. I have for 12-15 years. Recently it's gotten really severe. I really do want to do it but my fear keeps getting in my way.
I had my left hip replaced 9/11/23. Will have my right knee replaced 12/4/23. Hip was easy. Pain the first week. Everyone says knees are a little more painful
@@Goldie789 I felt the same way. Had one done in May of this year. Having the other one this Wednesday. I think the pre hab I did helped a lot. If anything, ride a bike and do wall squats. My first one went well.

I’m 46 and have had both knees replaced but unfortunately I’ve had 15 surgeries on my right knee with 3 revisions due to infection and now we finally found out I’m highly allergic to nickel. None of my surgeons tested for a metal ion allergy until now. I’m on my 4th surgeon now.

Are those suits mandatory because it's a big surgery? Or are they just standard?
They are mandatory for this type of surgery.They keep them cool and if they sneeze you are protected

The suits are to avoid any possible contamination that could cause an infection. Getting an infection in the knee area during a TKR is a serious, serious thing!

So this is what they did to me.. I had a replacement a year ago and I still have knee pain from swelling. The doctor says it takes time, but how much time?
I had it done and it was 18 months before swelling went down. Everybody is different. Between exercising it four times a day and using pain oils, the swelling did go away.
My neighbor had his done twice....??
I have had both knees replaced. I’m 54. Had the first one at 47 the Second at 49. Two different drs. One was old school, and the last one was by laser. I had a terrible time recovering. Worst pain I have ever had.

Dr.i had complete right knee replacement at 49 yrs old .i cancelled my left knee because it took me 3 months to heal ..the pain was beyond unbearable...my left knee is extremely bad...i live in PA..im thinking about contacting u...

I had a full knee replacement 8 weeks ago after 3 weeks no more walker I have a couple more weeks of rehab then in a few months then the other knee gets surgery .

I had a full knee surgery. I'm not able to bend my knee the whole way.i use a Cain to walk.i don't have bone to bone pain .I now have arthritis in my knee. I'm off balance. Getting old is horrible.

I had my knew done a week ago, now my leg is swollen twice as the other, black bruises all over and now my uncle is swollen as well and cannot walk or do any exercises.....Is this a normal think ??

А у меня случилось несчастье на этой почве. Мне тоже заменили коленный сустав. Все было хороши девять месяцев, яуже ходила нормально. 31 января 2022 вышла покормить собаку во дворе, а она решила поиграть со иной и прыгнула мне на спину, толкнула и я упала и естественно сломала эндопротез и кость, на которую он крепился. Все. Восстановлению не подлежало. Пришлось ампутировать. Так что будьте очень осторожны, кто столкнулся с этой болячкой.
