This man is my favorite prophet and I love him. He is truly a kindred spirit to me. Thank God that there was such a man in my time to inspire and instruct and ensure to the truths of God and especially that he is a God of freedom as well as the God of love and righteousness.
@James Wines the Bible is a historical record written by the people of the time. Even your example of the gospel coming to the gentiles in Acts 10 first century proves that there comes a time when God makes changes according to His plan. The Abrahamic promise.
And the name of the Church is not LDS Mormon it is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which means the church of Jesus Christ in later or last times.

We are actually members of the "Church of the Lamb", or supposed to be, but many haven't woken up enough to understand that..if you REALLY learn what the Bible says, you'd know that He does head the Church of the Lamb..
That being said, how do you feel about the speech this man, Ezra Taft Benson gave? Is not what he said so damn true???? Is this not what is going on right now???

I wouldn’t be surprised if he saw much of the fate of this country before passing through the veil

The brethren cannot defend the constitution if they do not know it. Hmm... I’m must admit that I’m rusty on my knowledge of the constitution. I’m feeling the heat here.
I want to recommend: Paul Skousen's book How to Read the Constitution and The Declaration of Independence. It is an easy read, and it has you do exercises on reading these divinely inspired documents. As a convert, member and an American loving patriot who was not born in America, I am waiting for the day the priesthood awakens to our awful situation and fights for our freedoms. I am forever asking...Where is our Captain Moroni? Who will defend our liberty?
We, women, are trying to fight to keep medical freedoms, and parental rights, which is the fight to keep our ownership over our bodies. As usual, we, women, are being labeled as crazy, irrational and uninformed. This is typical Marxist behavior to label and use fear to remove our freedoms. Bodily autonomy is on the chopping block, and the media is using fear to keep us from owning our bodies and having parental rights over our children's medical choices. Just look at what the media is reporting on today, and the craziness happening right now. It is all a political ploy to remove our right to medical freedom of choice. It is very frustrating to only see the majority is women fighting for this cause, and a few lone men.
W. Cleon Skousen's "The Making of America; the Substance and Meaning of the Constitution" is an out-of-print textbook that's been sitting on my shelf that I've been meaning to tackle. It hasn't been digitized for e-readers or rendered as an audiobook, as near as I can tell. That need to be rectified so we can listen to books like that on our library apps with earbuds while taking walks or working out or read them in bed without disturbing anyone.
These ears hear, now that they have heard I will be judged if I do not act, and deservedly so.
Pres. Benson is and always will be a great leader of the Church and the Country. What he said then is real and it shows today. It is to sad we cannot have elected officials to listen to his words, because they are real.

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books. Great read. Thumbs up! 👍

@robert ca, as a recent lds convert, who studied the vast majority of anti-m9rmon lit., I have seen many of the arguments against turned around. DNA, Debra Bolnick states haplo type x2a is ancient mid eastern, many archeological finds, the uncanny & impossible similarities between dead sea scrolls and POGP, Hopewell time frame and mounds that match BOM descriptions of defensive and other structures, and mist recently, how lds events fill in gaps in end times prophecy. Just to be sure, you may want to look at the evidence for lds again. If it's true, it would be pretty important.
Anti Mormonism starts not in 1830 or 1820 but 1520 with Martin Luther heretic Catholic who tossed out 1500 years of the sacraments ( ordinances) of the eucharist, baptism, matrimony, priesthood authority. All that the Protestants rebels chucked out. So the protesters are indeed unfamiliar with the sacramental church. They are the odd ducks. Don’t even pay them any mind.
