Its very nice setup only thing is if you would have lowrance graphs instead of the garmins you can interact control your xi3 with the graph via the nmea network its pretty cool i have it hooked up that way on mine and you just hit a spot on the map and let it take you there
Thanks. Below is a link to the terminal box. I love it and is my favorite way to store terminal tackle. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Flambeau_4510FB_Terminal_Tackle_File_with_Zerust/descpage-FL4510F.html?from=gshop&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA8sauBhB3EiwAruTRJprwy4UPKIHjshuAD-2Eu83ynVBWS8j5ObbcTx90LPUeQIg6ziCqBxoCVQEQAvD_BwE
Thanks! Ya I’m using the scuppers. If you don’t with the front mount motor then water will come up through the scuppers when you are going full throttle
thanks so much for getting back to me. apologies if this is a dumb question, I am not too mechanically inclined but am going to try and do my set up almost exactly the same as yours. What did you use to make the holes in the block off plate and what did you use to protect the wire, it looks like you have something around the wire.@@theloonangler
No worries, ask any questions I'd be glad to help. The wires run through a through hull wiring kit. I used I think a 1" hole (the instructions with the kit tell what size hole to cut) Link to the manufacturer below: (might be able to get cheaper if you shop around) www.yakattack.us/gridloc-through-hull-wiring-kit-pair/
@@theloonangler one more question what diameter wire sheathing did you use for the two different cables you have going through the panel where the rod tube used to be?
That one is their old version they don’t sell on their website anymore but they have a Bluetooth one that connects to your phone now. ampedoutdoors.com/products/bluetooth-smart-capacity-meter
You don’t see many people add the Steadycast to a kayak which puzzles me. I’m getting all the pieces together to add to my PA14 with Xi3. Have you experienced any issues with interference using the Xi3? Being in close proximity motor I’m curious if it causes any issues. Thank’s and super clean setup!
Thanks. I wasn’t initially but I’ve had some problems the last time out with the steadycast. I need to recalibrate it I think and hoping that fixes it.
I was worried about my weight and all the gear I bring. When I put this kayak together I weighed EVERYTHING, including what was already on the kayak such as seat, pedals, paddle etc.,. With this setup I'm sitting at 235 lbs in gear/equipment. Add my weight and I'm still easily 150 pounds under carrying capacity of 600 lbs for the Hobie Pro Angler 14
Cool setup but I sure miss kayak bass tournament back 8-9yrs ago when nobody had spotlock and fancy electronics. Now it’s about who has the most money put into thier kayak . The average guy can’t even compete with the guys who have over $5k invest into a kayak when he just spotlock and scoped all day
Thanks, I get what you're saying but to be totally honest I very rarely use livescope like you see on the major tournament trails. I am a shallow water angler mostly and I rarely sit in one spot. I have found a few ways to make the livescope work for me that way. I hope to make some more videos this year how I use it shallow. I'd much rather lock a squarebill in my hand all day and just go hunting and thats usually what I end up doing.
I’ve done well with and without a helix 5. Won angler of the year twice (not a super competitive trail but still) in the trail I fished and didn’t have any fish finder for a significant portion of the tournaments. But you will not see me being a crybaby about what other people are using.. In fact I’m upgrading significantly this year which will include mega live and two helix units. Fish how you want to..
Dude, great setup! People that dont kayak will never understand! That took alot of time to setup!
Thanks! I've been fishing out of a kayak going on 7 years and have loved every minute of it!
Great job Steve! Keep em coming this season! Need to catch up with you and fish!
For sure!! and thanks!

That would be pretty cool! I am partial to Garmins though. Now if only I could figure out how to put a Garmin Force trolling motor on this...
How are you doing, Steve? Looking forward to the season starting.
Good Gary, me too!
Nice setup. Where did you find the container you using for your terminal tackle. I like the little containers and how you have it separated.

Are you using scupper plugs? I was debating on adding to my PA as well. I love your build BTW

great job, what kind of cover did you put on your rodholder tube openings where you have the wires going in? I want to do something similar.
Thanks! Its the One Objective Hobie Rod Tube Block Off Plate, link below:

Are you talking about the wire loom cover? If so I don’t remember, 1/2” maybe?
Could you list the link to Amp reader pls? Thank you.

I see you have the livescope plus. How much difference is it compared to the old LS? Is it worth updating?
I haven't tried it. Appears significantly better
What did you use to cover to rod tubes?
One Objective fishing makes a rod tube delete plate. They work great
Love it!
Thanks!!
LOOKS GREAT but this has to be pushing the weight limit.

Try bassing with no electronics devices see who the real fisherman are 😊
