I love this family! Thank you for these heartwarming and wholesome videos. The world needs more Meagan's to take us back to the basics of cooking and family farm life. The videos bring back good memories. May God shower your family and farm daily with His goodness.☘
I just love how down to earth you guys are. A simple life that is so rewarding. I Like all the cooking, gardening, kids helping, and sharing it all with us. God’s Blessings to you and your family!
I absolutely enjoyed this video. I just found you guys. What an absolute wonderful family with such Godly love. Can't wait to see more of your country life. We live in Northeast Arkansas so we are country folks, also. God is Good.
Lord we pray that you keep us safe and warm from life's violent storms and thank you father for blessing us with this fine fine meal which we're about to recieve....Amen
I was raised on the food you cook.My grandmother was from southern illinois .All ways had potatoes every meal I have problems with my kidneys and was told no potatoes I told the doctor no way can I give up the foods I was brought up to eat.My granmother lived to be 100 and so can I.
Megan and Andy You are living the life I wish I could. My husband passed and his favorite meat was country ham and red eye gravy just the way you made it. I love you guys and the wonderful kids.
i just made these biscuits and they were soooo good. I even gave 2 to my sister and the next day she microwaved it got 20 seconds and texted me how good these biscuits were!!! love and will be my go to from now on. I used milk because I didn't have buttermilk on hand. Also, I used pastry flour so the good stuff!
Watching and listening to you using the short cuts in cooking shows me that you are a natural cook and understand all the processes and know which ones you can skip . That makes you a natural cook. You make it look easy.
My Pappy used to make this for us when we were little visiting them. Now I make it myself. And people around here in the north have no idea what I’m talking about but they try it and want you to learn too!
❤❤❤I just came across your channel today. I'm definitely gonna check out all your videos..New subscriber!! I love people like yourself and I wish there were more of you. ❤❤❤
OH how I wish I was invited to supper tonight. My,my I would relish every bite. Thank you so much for sharing. Hi Maggie and Jason. I can't help but to love you all, does my heart good. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah.
I couldn't handle greens when I was a kid, but taste changes as we get older, so going to give these a try. My husband didn't like cabbage as a kid, but loved cabbage fried in a little bacon grease with salt and pepper. So ready for good garden food! Thank you, Meagan!
I love your kitchen. Super cute and cozy look. I’m sure you can make incredible meals out of there. Reminds me of my grandparents kitchen. All cast iron. Peppers drying. Wow.
How true. Life is all about how we look at it. If we keep our eyes on what’s wrong or as we would have things, we miss many of God’s blessings. But, I don’t do red eye gravy, lol! Love coffee and love ham but…….
Meal looks delicious. Reminds me of going to my mema & paw paw's house in the summer to help put up vegables. They would make redeye gravy. So good & lots of wonderful memories
Thank you for sharing the red-eye gravey with us, we shall try it. And thank you for just being yourself and sharing your life with us, God bless you all, especially them beautiful young ones.
I love your videos. Such a hard-working family. Love that you're teaching those beautiful kids your traditions. The food always looks great. Great job.😊
g= Good food from a working kitchen. I leave my canner and supplies out in the kitchen for the whole gardening season also. I got past thinking of it as messy.
My 1st time seeing your channel. It was so fun watching you cook! My family is long passed and just hearing your accent and thinking abt red eye gravy!! Haha it brought me back home! Beautiful family. You are blessed.❤
I just found your channel and I love it, that country ham and red eye gravy is my favorite breakfast. Y’all have a great looking garden that is very bountiful. You are blessed! Mike
Never heard of gravy using coffee. I love when you said pretty biscuits lol! I had watched one of your other videos and liked how you just took some of the dough and made it into a biscuit, which is how I'm going to try them next time. I know homemade biscuits are so much better than the canned ones from the store. Right now my kitchen is a mess. I did 3 rounds of plum jelly today and what a mess it was, but so rewarding after. I made tomato juice and canned it the other day. I still have more coleslaw to make and can and also some tomato sauce. Truly these things are blessings from God.
I love when things start comeing especially new potatoes and greann beans yum yum later onions ,corn, tomatoes 🍅 whew im getting hungry fresh corn bread omg I better quit lol Thanks for a your down home vedio, yep im a west Virginian and proud of it.

@dlewis895 I just bet you come home to wv after you retire. I'm glad I was blessed to be born and raised in wv our mountains is where I'm retiring to in 5 more years
I haven’t had real country cured ham since the 80s the last time my daddy cured his meat. I love red eye gravy and just gravy made from ham grease. I like to put red eye gravy in my grits, over a chopped tomato and sop them up with a biscuit. I love Sogham ( yes that’s how I say it)
My great Grandmother taught me how to make Coffee Gravy same as your Redeye Gravy, I stop making it when my girls were little as it was just them and myself and the girls wouldn't touch it, I think had I called it Redeye Gravy vs Coffee Gray they may have? Lol! But I'm with Andy on the Molasses and Country Ham I too could live on it, unfortunately I'm not able to grow my own and do all that it requires anymore, but I sure like watching the two of you. Be blessed!
Recently came across your channel and I just love it. Down to earth, simple, enjoying the fruit of your hard work. May God bless all you put your hands to❤
That all looks awfully good to me. I can just smell the kitchen now. My grandma used to make redeye gravy alot for us before we headed out to the fields.
I'm from Australia and I'm obsessed with Appalachian food. I loved this video. I made some red eye gravy and I really liked it, who knew. New subscriber here. Great video darlin
My daddy always had to have taters when it come supper time. Fried, stewed, mashed, tater salad, and any other way you could make ‘em. That is one good looking mouth watering meal! You’re right about seeing the mess as a blessings. There are hungry people all over this world who would love to have this “ problem!” Your husband tickles me enjoying this feast fit for a king!😂
I love red-eye gravy! Try putting a pinch or two of brown sugar! Love it! Also, love molasses. Do you heat yours up in a little pan, add a pinch or two of baking soda so they will foam up? Love this with biscuits and gravy!
I surely did enjoy watching y'all fix and eat that supper! I don't know if it will be as good, but we have Benton's country ham over here, and I'm gonna fix me some. Thanks P.S. I like tomatoes on the side too. I've eat so many, my mouth is broke out.
In Missouri and not just Missouri there is white country sausage gravy that is nice and thick and goes with food for breakfast, lunch and supper. It is made with milk not coffee, most people I know don't drink coffee or can't stand the smell or taste of it, it smells like battery acid.
Someone who grows up in their Mama's and Grandma's Kitchen, come to cook by experience and heavy on their instinct, even when they do not even realize it. My dear friend in her late 60's now, makes the best Biscuits I personally have ever tasted, and never measures anything that goes into her biscuit bowl. Experience and instinct. Recipes and, different methods never even come into it.
Love y’all’s life style!! Wish we all lived like this still!!
Made me hungry watchin this video
