    Couple of notes, consider this video work in progress.
    * Dangan Man's getting a resprite. Looking at the sprite again, we can do better, so we are.
    * We're looking into the collision issues with Magnetic Shockwave. Part of it is down to stage design issues, as there is only collision at the edges of the Boobeam room and not inside solid blocks, therefore Mag got a bit confused during the battle.
    * Yes, Boobeam Trap is in the devkit. Stop panicking, how its used will be up to the user, as the room, weakness and setup is all user determined.
    * "Batch 1"
    * I repeat "Batch 1", we're not done yet.

      Y'know, I always thought that it would be fun revenge to go against the Buebeam Trap with the weapon set from Mega Man Rock Force. Whether you prefer the spammy goodness of Circuit Breaker or the steerable big-boominess of Phantom Fuse, they would probably make that particular boss much easier. And whichever one you used, you could use the other to bust down the barriers if you so chose. Tank Arsenal from Unlimited would also be a nice one to use.

      Really great selection. If you are considering feedback at this point, how about other early game bosses that were impacted by sprite flicker or bad programming? Because what you did with Buebeam Trap is nothing short of outstanding. I would love to see what you can do others like Wily Machine 2 or CWU-01P.

      Imho, I think you should add the invincibillity back onto the foward part of Blizzard Man's roll attack, but not after he bounces off the wall. I think it makes it so that when he does the roll, it isn't an active hindrance to him, but giving a large punish windwow for dodging the scarier of his 2 moves.

    One point of critique: Blizzard Man is supposed to be invulnerable during his rollout. I even went back and played his stage to check. But in this test the charged shot clearly damaged him.

      The main problem with the Buebeam Trap from the original game is that it required a very specific weapon with a very limited ammo supply, and if you didn't have enough, you were screwed. This incarnation doesn't seem to have the same problem.

    Ooooh, I enjoy the fact that more obscure bosses and fortress bosses are included! I wan't expecting two Stardroids and Wonderswan bosses. Although...I can easily guess which bosses will be this game's equivalent of Volt Man, Komuso Man, and Quint...

    I feel that a lot of the more common devkit boss choices in MaGMML2 submissions were chosen in part because of having something to stand out; Quint for being a souped-up version of a Game Boy boss, Komuso Man for being a R&F2 boss, Chill Man to a lesser extent for using his hard mode pattern, Mecha Dragon for being a fortress boss, and of course Volt Man for being a DOS boss.
    Looking at this batch alone, I can only see maybe 3 or 5 bosses that DON'T have a similar uniqueness factor. This is going to be interesting.

    you really have a nice set of bosses you picked here! i especially love the inclusions of the Giant Suzy, Dangan man, and the Grey Devil. Though im kinda afraid to see whats gonna happen with Boobeam Trap....

    Ooh, that one weapon shown off is rad as heck.
    Also, really? The Boobeam Trap? The single worst boss from the worst Megaman game? How delightfully devilish. I can't wait to see how that's going to be used in the contest.

    I did not expect to see Uranus or Dangan Man, but this is an interesting boss choice. I'm liking how this is turning out, and I can't wait to see it finished! One question though: will the custom costume feature from MaGMML 2 return in this game? Either way, this is truly amazing, so keep up the good work!

    Since WHEN could you buster shot Blizzard Man during his spinning frames? Last I checked all buster shots got deflected off him when he rolls. Maybe this was a change for MaGMML3 to make him slightly easier, or just a mistake? I dunno.

    Hi, ACE! Is the GameMakerStudio engine and devkit for the previous contest available anywhere? I want to test some ideas I'd like to implement in a possible future level submission, but I don't want to do it using the original MAGMMLC2 developer tools because I don't know if they'll translate to GMS.

    A few questions:
    1 - Is this still being made on game maker or will this be upgraded to something else?
    2 - Slightly unrelated, but will Rush Cycle be able to go on spikes? I'm curious since I'm wanting to make a level segment that makes use of the ol' doggo.
    3 - very related, who do think will be the overused Dev Kit boss of MaGMML3

    Hey, any weapon that makes the Boobeam Trap not a colossal pain is fine by me ;)
    Kinda makes me wish I could compete in MaGMML3. While I technically still can, time permitting, I'd rather cut my chops on Mega Man Maker first to give myself a bit more experience, to test what does and doesn't work. Maybe if there's a MaGMML4 in the future?

      Magnetic Shockwave, its one of the more obscure weapons in Mega Man's arsenal - it's from Marvel vs Capcom.

    Looks good and i love the selection of bosses! But here are some of my thoughts:
    3:02 Might wanna check the hitbox on grey devil when he's moving to the other side of the room. His sprite is rounded and you got hit by the corner of the invisible square mask, which seems a little bs to me. Makes it much harder than needed to jump over him
    5:08 When blizzard man slams into a wall, he lands too far into the middle of the stage and it just looks odd.
    Also i think the boobeam trap shouldn't need to drop an energy element (unless all the other bosses do in the final build). It should just end the level.
    And that dangan man sprite is just the worst

    Opinion on each boss here...
    Bomb Man: Gotta start somewhere.
    Spark Man: Oh, this guy.
    Uranus: Oh cool, Stardroids! Great to see these guys.
    Giant Suzy: Oh boy, the infamous boss in a boss corridor. This could get interesting...
    Grey Devil: Fancy seeing this guy!
    Kamegoro Maker: Rather neat to see the only original fortress boss (excluding Gamma) from Mega Man 3.
    Saturn: Best planet in Stardroid form. I'm not sure what to think of him. Nice to see him here though.
    Blizzard Man: Memorable Robot Master ONLY because of a really strange MM8BDM video.
    Dangan Man: Next Kumuso Man? Maybe?
    And...
    Boobeam Trap: Oh my...

      Most probably will return. We're debating on including Komuso, Quint, Volt and Mecha Dragon though given their prominence.

      Would there be some way of including the code for the MAGMML2 boss attack patterns even if the bosses themselves are absent? I mean, isn't that the actual point of the Devkit Bosses? (Heck, given how he's been released, you can even throw Yoku Man's patterns into the mix, though, again, not necessarily Yoku Man himself.)

    Not a lot of traditional Robot Masters in this video, huh. But that's fine.
    Though I'm gonna call it now, Dangan Man is going to be overused in the contest levels due to being the most obscure choice (see: Volt Man and Komuso Man's overpopulation in MaGMML2).
    ...I have concerns about Boobeam Trap though. Primarily, whether it'll require the use of special weapons. That could be a pain.

    If I had the know-how and did something regarding the fact that Game Maker costs moneys now, I'd make Maestro from MM8BDM a boss.

      This is using GameMaker Studio, which was free. Technically still available too thanks to the way Steam works, which is why they're going to use it still from the sounds of things. GameMaker Studio 2 isn't free, but it probably won't be an option for submitting stages, so...

    New weakness for the Boobeam Trap eh? At least that weapon doesn't eat as much energy to use as the Crash Bombs did, thought to myself "They need to at least give you the Crash Bombs, it's the only way to kill that boss... unless they changed the weakness

      Currently, the user can set the weakness of Boobeam to any of the weapons, even the Mega Buster, so it leaves it open to some variety!

      That's good to hear, the biggest gripe I always had with that boss was running out of Crash bombs, so if feels good knowing that someone MAY give it the Mega Buster weakness, but we'll see

      Wow! It's almost like having them be "GOOD" RMs by whatever definition you have ( I mean I consider Blizzard Man and Spark Man good RMs, but that's just me; everyone has their own definition of a good RM) is not the point of devkit bosses in the slightest! The actual point of Devkit Bosses is for them to be EXAMPLES of different abilities, so that people who don't know how to code have a guide to use as reference! The fact that they just went through the lenghts to recreate the exact patterns of each boss that they based it on instead of just the specific aspect they needed is an extra.
      Here's the actual point of devkit bosses: Let's say I wanna code a boss that gets faster or stronger as he loses health, but I don't know how to code very well! Well, thankfully, Big Suzy is an example of that, as he gets faster and jumps way more the more damage he takes, so I can look at his code and use that as a reference! Explosive attack? I have Bomb Man to look into. Sucking the player in like a vaccum? Thanks for Saturn.
      This comment is so weird and just in general feels like the person who made it missed the entire point of devkit bosses and thinks the devs "just ran out of ideas" or "good RMs".

      I tend to not look at bosses as just strings of code.You can't really call these the best the megaman series has to offer. Also most people who don't know how to code would just use the boss instead of using their code.

      I never said they were the best the series had to offer, because they're not MEANT to be, they're just meant to showcase specific features that a person could use. Also, if an entrant did use a devkit boss with no modifications whatsoever, I'm sure that would be looked down upon, I mean it's not hard to modify a devkit boss, you'd be surprised with how far you can go to the point of making a whole new boss with some edits that even somebody who doesn't know coding can make (I'm talking from experience here, as this is something I've seen firsthand). I feel like you assume too little of people who don't have much coding experience.

      Well, MAGMML 2 had devkit bosses that were fun ones on their own and yet most of the stages didn't use bosses at all. Also I have no experience coding so I can tell you there are people who can't figure that out. I couldn't even figure out how to make a stage XD

      I think it's more about choosing bosses that are unique than choosing the ones that everyone likes/knows about. This makes MaGMML 3 much more interesting imo. I mean, would you rather fight bosses that you barely see and maybe haven't heard of, or just more Guts Mans and Metal Mans? It's the reason why the obscure bosses like Volt Man and Komuso Man were the most widely used ones in MaGMML 2.
