In this video I test and review the brand new Bluetti AC50B portable power station. The Bluetti AC50B solar generator only weighs 15lbs so it's very portable, but also has a 700w inverter that will run almost anything you'd want to take camping. The Bluetti AC50B has 448wh, but you can add Bluetti's B80 or B80P expansion battery for the times you want some extra power. The Bluetti AC50B can also accept up to 200w of solar, which is perfect for keeping it charged up while off grid. I think the Bluetti AC50B is one of the best portable starter power stations for most people to get started with and will work perfect for many off grid situations.

I recently bought that unit for my camper van. In my opinion, it's the best compromise regarding size, capacity, and output. You'll find appliances that work with the 700w output, like water heaters, toasters, and coffee machines. That is not the case with units that have less output. The 448wh capacity is not a problem, because I can recharge the unit from my main battery, via solar, or if not it's still enough for a weekend trip.

Bluetti is great but they lost me to the Ecoflow 2 years ago when Bluetti still had those power bricks to plug in and EF didn't. I'm to deep into EF units now lol.
Ecoflow is great also, but don’t tell yourself you’re stuck with them just because you currently have their products. Always new cooler stuff coming out

These little battery banks have come SO FAR in the last few years, especially with those lithium iron phosphate batteries. Even just from a safety standpoint they're so much better, and they last a ton of cycles too. They're getting cheaper!
Totally, technology is advancing fast and thankfully that causes prices to be more reasonable compared to something similar not long ago. I was very impressed with this little power station

Can you charge it up with a DC battery? And can you use it while it’s being charged with solar and or the battery?
I know you can charge it with the B80 expansion batteries and yes you can charge it and use it at the same time.

STAY FAR from Jackery too! Mine failed exactly 1 month over their 3 year warranty period and I never even used it...though it was always charged at 100%. Jackery product is INFERIOR to this product.

It’s easy to just say negative things. I’ve experienced majority of brands and Bluetti has been my favorite so far.
