- Making a neck knife from opinel
I love opinels, who doesn't? So I decided to make a neck knife from one of these. A leather sheat and some carving on the handle to personalize it and there you go... I hope you like it :)

very nice job, love the mod and especially the banding work on the handle with the pop of color. I do a lot of Turquoise inlay work on different things, and love this color. Great job on the sheath also.

It's great to see a knife that is very good in standard form..... then watch as it's refined, has detailing added, gets treated well, has that "handiness" added.....then that"standard" knife becomes your "favourite" knife.

Not that I don't own a couple... I have the 13. And the ebony is beautiful. I guess that for very light duty work, all is well. I also marvel that a company as old as Opinel has managed to avoid evolution! Marketing?

Sir .. about 3 years ago I bought an opinel cant remember what number.. every after use I wash it with dishwashing liquid ..its hard to fold it after washing..its seems stuck.
Please help me what to do..thanks very much
