What people are saying about Buck being emotional or he reacts to quickly etc. I do think it depends on the situation. Buck is great with rescuing people from fires or water etc. But when the people he cares about are in danger, he gets more emotional yes. In this situation Buck is not trained for being held at gunpoint. Eddie has had militairy training, he reacts different. Love that they are different. It shows not everyone reacts the same way in a situation. It is realistic.
He was not really in the Navy seal he trained for the Navy so he passed all of you know the training but the reason why he cannot do it because he can’t turn off his emotions. He tells you about that I think in season one I believe I might be wrong.
@@vappuluoma2918 It depends on the situation, I think. A lot of the time it's a good thing. But it can lead to Buck being reckless with his own safety when he's determined to help others, and for a firefighter that's hella dangerous. Hopefully Eddie's "you're not expendable" message will start to sink in and Buck won't be so quick to put his own life on the line anymore. Of course it's heroic and admirable that he's willing to go into danger to save people, like all firefighters, but he has to realize that HE also matters.
This is my favourite scene of the episode. Buck being Buck would always try to replace Eddie with himself as a hostage, to which Eddie had to subtly remind him that one of them needs to make out alive for Christopher.
Why is everyone saying Buck lost it and reacted poorly under pressure here ? He tried to bargain and talk some sense into the criminal, which is something even professionals do. In this case, it wasn't the right scenario, but it proved he was still thinking and trying to help. He was trying to keep a level head and keep the situation under control. He tried something and it didn't work, doesn't mean he's bad under pressure. To me, Eddie seems more spooked when they mentioned Chris, which made sense.
@@feliciapalmer528 I really hope we get more development of buddie then we did destial cause spn waited till the very end to give us a small cannon scene
You know I’ve come to realize that buck isn’t very good in high-pressure situations. He gets really emotional then doesn’t think straight which is kind of concerning for a firefighter lol
eddie literally has military training, he was trained in how to react to intense situations. he wasn’t shutting down, he was doing what he was taught how to do. buck never had that, & buck wears his heart on his sleeve, which is why he was more impulsive. it’s not that deep
@@terrywhyte6281 Lol I never said it was that deep I was just making an observation and I know Eddie wasn’t shutting down at all he was keeping a level head. Also firefighters are trained to work under intense situations
Buck is good, great even during intense and high pressure situations. are we watching the same show? Bobby's not appointing him if he's not the best firefighter to train Probie. The difference is, he becomes emotional when it concerns the people he cares. in this case, Eddie and Christopher.
It's a different kind of pressure I guess, not just being in a dangerous situation like a fire but being held hostage and having someone threaten YOU specifically. Law enforcement and the military (like Eddie was) are trained for these kinds of situations, firefighters aren't.
Threaten Buck, he doesn't listen, threaten Eddie, Buck listens.
And vice versa.
Once Buck was out of danger, Eddie had zero fu*ks to give in regard to his own safety.
Cute
Hahhahaaahhaah
He also threatened Christopher too. 😤
When he said pretty boy i was like, wait which one lol
Same!
Not me. While he IS good looking, I wouldn’t say Oliver is “pretty”. Or at least not in comparison to Ryan.
Exactly.

Eddie.
That moment when Lucifer shifted his target from one pair of bros to another equally attractive pair
Mentioning Lucifer was funny dude.
Lucifer was awesome! I miss supernatural 😢

Buck was in the Navi Seals for a while.

It's not bad to be emotional. I have noticed too that he seems to feel things more deeply than characters usually do. But i adore that

You heard it here first! (Or rather when it aired) that Eddie is now canonically “Pretty Boy” and Buck is “The Kid”.

Offically Eddie is Pretty boy and buck is kid Lmfao
Eddie is more this guy's type than Buck. LOL
