I'm a bisexual myself, and I knew from the moment I met Buck that he was Bi. I was waiting for him to realise it. There was a scene where Buck first saw Eddie and he had something else in his eyes other than jealousy, there are so many moments in the show that I can point out where it's so obvious. I was so happy when the kiss scene happened.
I was shocked to learn he was English. He really perfected that American accent. Also I don’t think I can ever get tired of hearing him talk. He’s very well spoken person and very articulate. I did enjoy hearing his point of view on the character and the show!
It is great to finally see the bisexual role being introduced into a series and Oliver Stark as an actor is the perfect fit. He is natural, humble and able to grow as the character grows. Excellent work Oliver.
As someone who came out Bi to my friends and family when I was 31 Bucks story is relatable. I've always found Buck to be a relatable character in general, the buck we meet in S1E1 is basically facade put out to cover a deeply lost and lonely young man underneath and the story journey of him and Maddie has been the most compelling of the series. Interesting his thoughts on why he was killed off on Into the Badlands. Thing is if he hadn't been killed off and had signed on for the 3rd season he might never have landed the role of Buck. Sometimes you have to fail before you can succeed. I'm also vegan and I take the approach he takes its my choice and I won't preach or force it on anyone else.

Thanks so much for this brililant interview! For the record, though, his accent is a pretty standard MLE (Multicultural London English) accent, the South African influences you think you're hearing are actually a mix of African diaspora accents mixed with working class London.
I was not expecting Oliver's accent to sound like that, but I quite like it! I've seen '9-1-1' playing on TV for the past few years and always enjoyed those episodes I've seen to an extent. But, I officially became a fan of the show when Buck came out as bisexual. I love how it was played out, like he was always looking for something, but wasn't sure what it was. I also watched the three-part cruise ship storyline recently and thought that was really well done too. So, I'm excited to see what's next for '9-1-1'!
I am just so happy that I can watch one hour of Oliver Stark talking about himself. I feel like, as his fan, I kinda have a chance to get to know him as a person also. Maybe someday we can meet and do collaboration lol
Came across this more or less by accident. My mom watches 911 and I have been catching it from time to time. Really enjoy Oliver’s character, Buck. Has no idea about the bisexuality piece. As a gay man, that caught me by surprise. I hope the show continues its success. Oliver… you’re fantastic. Love the accent, the birthmark, and just how you held yourself in this interview. Continue to be well.
I always think that kissing or any other intimate scene would be a bit awkward to film, no matter the gender its all the same, because initially, it is just acting with a bunch of people watching you behind the camera. My thing would be how to make this as real as possible. Hence why I could never be an actor lol. Love this interview!
I have loved this series so much since the first episode. What captivates me the most is the combination of action, drama and life lessons. Buck has always been my favorite, thank you Oliver for portraying him so well and being so open to Buck's bi side. You are wonderful💜
I want to be wherever the producer is that said he isn’t too handsome😭 if they think oliver is mid they must be surrounded by gods, please deliver me to that place
Oliver Stark is beautiful. Love his response to the haters. Honestly, I've never related more to a character than when Buck was coming out to Maddie and said "I've checked out a hot guys ass before but that's normal." As a bisexual, 100% that is the feeling. I've always been able to appreciate the attractiveness of others, no matter their sex/gender, and other people have looked at me funny for it. The whole, "but that's normal right?" just was so relatable. And then realising that other people don't actually feel that way about the same sex.
There kept being the pitches to "watch 9-1-1" and I'm sitting here going "UGH, listen, Hulu isn't loading, so I am watching an Oliver Start interview that I have seen floating on TH-cam for months -- listen, I wouldn't be watching YOUR INTERVIEW if Hulu wasn't having technical issues" So thank you for being my comfort when streaming is down 🤪😜

He's so well spoken and truly loves the show and Buck as much as we do
Oh wait. His accent DOES sound South African. Very interesting.
Right?! Never would have said it but now that the interviewer mentioned it, I hear it too! 🇿🇦
@@KETTYKISH yes! I always tried to think of it but now they daid it, I really hear it
He doesn't actually. He sounds British.
I think a lot of accents in London have elements of different cultures because of how diverse it is! I definitely hear it but to me he really does just sound like he was born and raised in London
@@dnceyrselfclean Yes, I completely agree. To me he just sounds like a lot of the boys & men that I see every day in London
one hour of oliver stark, this day can't get any better
I love everything about this interview and I absolutely adore Oliver Stark. As a bi woman I am over the moon that bi representation is being done right!
Oh I really enjoyed this. It's great when an actor is open and easy to talk to about things but also has great insight into his character and career/self. He should do more of these.
I just love him. Buck is my comfort character and he cares so much about buck 9-1-1 in general and the fans.
a whole hour of listening to oliver speak is all ive ever wanted in life, my sincere thanks to you zach
he's such a good actor and i could listen to him talk all day!
The fucking horse story 😭😭😭 that’s season 2 episode 7 “Haunted” if anyone wants to know.
9-1-1 does a really great job of making us care for the characters in the emergency in under 45 seconds. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried over someone on the show I’ve known less than a minute.
i can hear oliver talk all day i love his voice🧎🏻♀️
The hour flew by so quickly. Such a lovely interview! It was really nice to just listen to Oliver for an hour.
This was such an amazing interview!!! Thank you so much for it. I love hearing Oliver talk about Buck and the details behind everything. He loves Buck so much. I'm so glad he got this part! (would love to see those audition tapes)
The final minute is about Buck and Eddie. I don't know why but I find that funny.
I love how much he cares and so dedicated to his craft. And the way he explains his craft as well, it’s a job and then has his personal life. That’s so admirable because I feel often we are conditioned to intertwine our work with our life, and being able to have a boundary between work and life is something I aim to have . And just his speaking is so beautiful and healing to hear ❤😊
"I'm open to a future for buck and Eddie" 👀
they have to answer open ended to avoid alienating fans, it's just PR, although he's right about it being up to the writers
I'd honestly prefer if they stay friends. Their relationship has always seemed platonic to me and I love Buck and Tommy's chemistry so much😭
@@solangelostan6016yeah honestly I used to be rooting for Eddie and buck but now I’m like eh I want them to stay friends. Im really excited to see where bucks relationship with Tommy goes tho🤭
@@solangelostan6016 Nah, not at all.
@@DILFHunter95 ?
the moment i saw oliver in the first episode of 911 he just instantly grabbed my attention. he completely embodies buck and it doesnt hurt that hes easy on the eyes 😊
He’s so handsome.
he's so special, know that he cares to his character as much as us fans makes me really happy. I love him and wish the best
I could listen to Oliver talk all day he has such a great voice and very intelligent as well
i need oliver stark in a way that is concerning to my lesbianism
😂
thank god it's not just me
Best comment ever 😂
fellow lesbian here, i feel you HARD
Thanks so much for this brililant interview! For the record, though, his accent is a pretty standard MLE (Multicultural London English) accent, the South African influences you think you're hearing are actually a mix of African diaspora accents mixed with working class London.
watch this with no skip... i want oliver to get more 10000 interviews like this. what a well spoken guy. 100/10 cool vibe.
So, I'm excited to see what's next for '9-1-1'!
he is just so well spoken you can’t not love him ❤
I think he might be the nicest and most down to earth person in Hollywood
He cares so deeply for his character, it's really lovely to see because same.
One hour of Oliver Stark, thank you!!
Red hat guy asking the important questions lol. Oliver is amazing.
Love Oliver Stark, such a cool and awesome person, and love his work on 9-1-1
I have loved this series so much since the first episode. What captivates me the most is the combination of action, drama and life lessons. Buck has always been my favorite, thank you Oliver for portraying him so well and being so open to Buck's bi side. You are wonderful💜
I love how thoughtful his answers are. It’s interesting to listen to him. 1 hour and I am not bored, I want to listen to him more 😌
I was so happy when I saw that this is 1h long and then I realized it was still too short, I needed 2h 😂❤
I want to be wherever the producer is that said he isn’t too handsome😭 if they think oliver is mid they must be surrounded by gods, please deliver me to that place
right? he's a shredded, curly-haired blue-eyed Adonis, who are these men who are MORE handsome.
Thank you for this interview. I don't mind watching it more than once. Oliver is a good speaker, and he's a great guy 🤍
I love hearing Oliver's thoughts on all of this beyond his character (even though we love buck) Greatttt episode
Holy crap you two chatting is so awesome!! Please do this again at the end of this season or sooner!
Oliver Stark is beautiful. Love his response to the haters. Honestly, I've never related more to a character than when Buck was coming out to Maddie and said "I've checked out a hot guys ass before but that's normal."
As a bisexual, 100% that is the feeling. I've always been able to appreciate the attractiveness of others, no matter their sex/gender, and other people have looked at me funny for it. The whole, "but that's normal right?" just was so relatable. And then realising that other people don't actually feel that way about the same sex.
There kept being the pitches to "watch 9-1-1" and I'm sitting here going "UGH, listen, Hulu isn't loading, so I am watching an Oliver Start interview that I have seen floating on TH-cam for months -- listen, I wouldn't be watching YOUR INTERVIEW if Hulu wasn't having technical issues"
So thank you for being my comfort when streaming is down 🤪😜
I love 9-1-1 and Lone Star series so much, so many amazing beautiful stories, and so many amazing, talented people working on it who made it all happen - thank you!
Hope those shows will never end!
spending the last MINUTE on buddie is insane, this was such a lovely interview shout out 😊
Incredible interview. Awesome to hear him be so excited about what he does, and the questions are amazing as always. Will totally rewatch again, this is now a comfort video for me
