Your "low oil pressure" is normal at idle, the Ecotec 3 engines have a varrible displacement oil pump. Which is to reduce resistance on internal components when higher oil pressure is not required, as a result also helps save fuel.
How did it work ? ,,, how did you deactivate the the eco mode ?? I would like to do that to my truck I've had issues with the lifters because of that 4 to 8 system
It’s a simple “afm/dod” on and off option in the menu of the tuner! Very simple and easy to use. I can make a short replying to your question if you’d like
It doesn’t do a lot for the trans temps in all honesty. Maybe a couple degrees difference but nothing crazy. There is a mod for that which is some sort of bypass but I’ve heard that those actually keep the trans under the prime operating temp. It May be best to do an auxiliary cooler
With the 2017+ models it looks like the ecu and tcm need to be unlocked before tuning. Is this accurate? Were you able to just plug it in and use it or did you have to go and update it/unlock first before you used it on your truck?
My flashpaq f5 device needed to be updated on a computer through the Holley website but otherwise there was no need to unlock it! The reason I bought this was because I didn’t have to unlock the ecu (I wanted to keep my warranty at all costs)
Depends on what year. Only 14+ has AFM as far as I know. So that being said a 14+ I would consider it useful depending on what you’re doing with the truck
I don’t believe so but I’m not positive. I believe they would have to prove the tuner is the cause of whatever went wrong with the vehicle. I remove mine 40-50 miles before it goes in for any service where they would scan the OBD2
What’s done to your truck? Is it stock? How heavy is your foot? These trucks react really well to keeping your foot off the floor. When I have a lead foot my gas mileage drops quick
@@hashtag_moto_ just got the truck back in august and took the lift kit out and the big tires but it does have a cold air intake and borla exhaust! I baby the truck! 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Thank you for the explanation sir!

Other than this it was plug and play. Update took 15 mins
What are your thoughts on adding this to the V6 (4.3L) engine? Curious.

If I select “stock with options” do you think it would void warranty?

If you worried about warranty, do not get.
How do you like the superchip flashpaq so far
I like it I think it was worth the money
How are you getting such good gas mileage I have a 2015 5.3 with afm and I’m getting around 14 city and the best highway was 21???🤷♂️🤷♂️

@@davidvasko7446 how many miles? Could be ready for plugs and wires, or maybe the gearing was changed
@@hashtag_moto_ 138,000. And yes I agree with plugs and wires that’s next!
I don’t think the gears have been changed
I downloaded ignition on their website but can’t figure out what to do next I’m using a MacBook Pro any advice ?
For the update? I used hollys website there was an update link on there. I was on windows though
@@hashtag_moto_ do you know what windows you used because I tried a windows laptop and it wouldn’t let me complete the process either
Did you have to download win zip to open the file on windows ?
Sorry for the late reply I hope you got it sorted out, it was windows 10
Will it still pass smog?
Not too sure we don’t have smog here
