    I love how you make the cross body bag so quick and easy. While watching your tutorial, I was thinking, why couldn't it be made on a larger scale, without the pocket, and fabric handles, to make a grocery shopping bag, so I tried that, and I made a shopping bag. I have made approximately 40 grocery shopping bags over the years, none of them with linings. I have to tell you, your way of making the cross body bag, which I made shopping bag size, is so much quicker, and easier than the way I used to make them, with the added bonus of being lined. I have watched a few of your videos, and I am always amazed by how quick and easy you make things. Thank You so much for giving me a better, quicker, easier way to make shopping bags.

    Such an amazing creative way to sew the little bag, with nice clean hidden seams.. Sew creative!. What is the measurement of the piece to make the little pocket shown at the end of the video?. Also, not sure how to sandwich that smaller pocket layer in?. Thank you.. 😊

    • @megelles
      @megelles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Brenda The size of the pockets can vary depending on what you would like to use them for. (And sorry, I don't have the original samples anymore to check for you, as I gave the bag to my sister). If you are adding a smaller pocket the outside fabric needs to be longer. The smaller pocket is folded in the same way as the larger pocket- it is just folded shorter. Please just have a play with a strip of fabric and make to size to suit your requirements. Cheers Lisa

    I'm so sorry, I don't understand English. Can you tell me how many cm the strips are in length?

    • @megelles
      @megelles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can be any size depending on how you fold the bag. 15 cm wide. 42cm and 65 cm are approximate measurements as you can just use strips as wide as what you would like your bag and vary the depth as well. Happy sewing

      @@megelles Thankyou Lisa for your prompt reply. I’ve made a practice one and made the strap the width of the fabric and about 5/8 inch wide. It turned out great, so now I’ve cut out 6 more ready to go. They’re perfect for teenage girls, and very easy and quick. Thanks so much 🌷
