    Originally from Niagara Falls NY, but live in Panama City Florida since retiring from the US Navy.
    While growing up I spent about half of my time on the Canadian side and actually consider both sides as home, and whenever I go home I again visit both sides.
    Love this video and have so many things to talk about I don't know where to begin.
    One thing I'm disappointed about is not showing the Floral Clock which in my opinion is amazing.
    Speaking of the Butterfly Conservatory I have a picture of huge beautiful butterfly and I was so amazed when I saw it, doubt that it's still alive today.
    Love the lower river walk along the rapids,
    Have so many things to mention, but unfortunately not the time to spare, but again "Thank You" for this amazing video.

      Really glad to see you enjoyed it. You are right we did not get the chance to visit the clock. Also missed the Hornblower ride on that trip. Could not show the ziplines either as they were closed due to covid. It is always wonderful to visit Niagara. Hope you have many more visits there.

    Thank you so much for making and sharing this video. I live in England and is very unlikely I will get to see Niagra for myself although it is on my bucket list! It really felt as if I was with you as you showed us around all the various parts of Niagra Falls and surrounding area. I can't wait to show my mum tomorrow! The Falls are nothing short of Awesome and then add colour to it and it becomes magical! I loved seeing the falls becoming " A Cloud Factory"! My next favourite part has to be the Butterfly Conservatory. I have been to something similar in Lancaster, England which has a Butterfly House. The big blue butterflies with brown underwings they had there too. They too are just magical to watch. Did you see any seethrough butterflies? Lancaster had some of them. I felt that I'd have liked to see some more of the inside gardens. The one with the umbrellas did something unusual instead of water running under the bridge. What was that? Oh and those 20ft waves were incredible and the rainbow! I love rainbows!! I really did enjoy your video and you have made me want to go even more! Thank you!

      Thanks for watching! Yes you can take a train there but make sure that you check to see that it is running sometimes in winter the trains don't run. But you can always go to Burlington and take the GoBus from there which runs throughout the year.

    Gorgeous videography and excellent, absorbing voiceover narration -- thank you! I've learned also that after the U.S.-Canada border reopens, it'll be easy to take that bus from Toronto's Union Station. I can stay in Toronto for a few days and then do a day trip to Niagara Falls, ON, and then return to the hotel. Or, stay at Niagara Falls, ON, for several days and then return via the bus connection to the train that goes back to Toronto's Union Station.
    I traveled to Niagara Falls, U.S. (Niagara Falls, New York) for the first time this year. It was absolutely beautiful. Wilder in its Nature, with some tameness, than on the Canadian side. The reason for that is: On the U.S. side is Niagara State Park, the oldest state park in the U.S., and it feels vast after you stroll along the rapids and then cross the pedestrian bridge to Goat Island. You stroll around in awe of the trees, grounds, small wildlife, numerous islands and, of course, all of the Falls and the rapids. While on Goat Island, I found myself interested in all of the waterways and the different islands. Again, it's a wilder experience, and if you're not careful, you really can slip into the rapids. But you'd have to be doing something silly such as taking risky selfies. When you're in the middle of Goat Island, you can feel as if you're in a vast woodland, yet you're on an island! That feeling wasn't something that any of the TH-cam videos prepared me for, and I was thankful for that refreshing feeling.
    That being said, I needed a substantial intro to the Nature side of Niagara Falls, ON, as I've reached a phase of my life where the amusements would thrill me for about a minute. I'm more introspective now. And I could see myself strolling and then pausing (unless crowded) on the walkway along the whitewater rapids. And that butterfly conservatory is on my must-see list for when I visit Niagara Falls, ON! Also, thanks for covering the miniature garden, with the train chugging its way through various paths -- another mjust-see.
    Lastly, I can see that there are far more eateries on the Canadian side, but I'd rather wait until the Covid-19 pandemic has been defeated for several years. It simply isn't fun removing a mask to eat and drink, all the while wondering if Covid might seep into the nose and mouth, etc. But, ahhh, you've given me lots to anticipate with your AWESOME video. As for suggestions, when Covid-19 is over, might you consider showing us Three Sisters Island on the Anerican side -- as well as Nature-focused strolls through other parts of Niagara Falls State Park, NY. By then (several years from now), the border between our countries will long have been reopened and it will be safe to traverse the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year!

    I haven't lived in Niagara falls in 35 yrs and tho I am very familiar with the falls and the park you showed things that didn't exist back then such as the skywheel and the amusement park and the butterfly conservatory. As you were basically doing a walking tour it may have been a little too far down the road for you to have enjoyed the nature trails of the Dufferin islands. They are located past the botanical gardens. Maybe next time. Thank you for the trip down memory lane ii quite enjoyed it!❤

    In the conservatory are the beautiful butterfly's. What happens with their innate migration flight abilities? Do they live long?

    • @myamazingcanada6661
      @myamazingcanada6661  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Butterfly conservatory is an enclosed artificial environment for the butterflies. They come from the tropics and in Canada's cold weather they would not normally survive. They don't have the chance to migrate for that reason but the conservatory now breeds them locally so they live and breed in the conservatory itself. I will be making a post about the conservatory soon.
