Mike are you guys going to make a .224 front cap for this suppressor so we can quiet them down even more when shooting .22LR out of it? Pleeeeeease and thank you!

Does tuning with the shims make that much of a difference? I think mine sounds pretty good right out of the box, with both a G17 and VP9 host.

It does. The longer your dwell time = the longer the gas has time to disperse into the suppressor. Personally, I dial mine in so the cases just barely trickle out -- whilst retaining reliability.

Would this work on a scorpion micro with faux suppressor removal. Would want to use one a 22 bobcat also? Thanks

I was looking to put this on my Henry X Model .357/.38 to shoot suppressed .38 Specials. To use the factory sights, it has to be below 1.25" OD. Can this be used? It has 5/8-24 threads.

Finally picked up my Odessa today after a 10 month wait. This is a most interesting suppressor, there is more to it than initially appears.
What is the purpose of baffle 8? For 147s does it make more sense to use 1-7 or 4-10 if something shorter is desired?

Always use them in proper numerical order, and always start with 1 for maximum sound reduction.

@@DeadAirSilencers Thanks for the reply. Why is baffle #8 longer than the others? What does this extra length/volume do?

Hey theres that raven I asked mike to sell me. Lol unfortunately he declined. Said it suppresses surprisingly well. You guys should post a vid on how it sounds. I have one but need to find someone to thread it.

Why in the hell do you put the front cap on so fricking tight? Can’t get mine off and don’t have a vise!! Very frustrating and inconvenient.

The Odessa works really good as a 22LR suppressor.

"The Dead Air Odessa 9 is an extremely modular 9mm pistol suppressor rated 22LR all the way to 9mm. In its longest configuration, the Odessa 9 weighs 7.4 ounces (without the piston and spring) and has a 7.75-inch length. There are 9 total baffles in this Dead Air suppressor that can be disassembled, meaning you get 10 configurable lengths that you can choose from based on your needs. At its shortest configuration, the Dead Air Odessa 9 is a mind blowing 2.75 inches.
This Dead Air silencer is constructed of durable stainless steel with a black nitride finish and has no minimum barrel length restrictions. Its convenient 1.1-inch diameter allows you to still maintain sight picture whether you’re suppressing your PCC or you decide to suppress your handgun. As if it couldn’t get any better, the Odessa 9 comes with a 1/2x28 piston, shims, and proprietary tools included. With so many options to choose from, the Dead Air Odessa-9 will definitely elevate your suppressed pistol life." This is the description on Silencer Shop page. Nothing about being a handgun specific silencer. You also state that fixed mount is available. It's been out of stock everywhere forever. I purchased this based on that description and now I feel I was duped as I will be suppressing my PCC's more than anything else.

Just get a one of those piston booster lockers or whatever there called or make one. Pull the spring out & put that in & then put it on a fixed barrel. You could go to the hardware store get some SS pipe with the correct ID/OD & cut it to length. Not only will it be a lot cheaper but you'll get it a lot quicker.🤙
