Better tip for the fence. Don't jog/sprint over. Jog/sprint towards the fence then release when near. You should now walk towards it. Press and hold E as you approach the fence while walking. With Number 15, there are 2 types of axes, the firefighter axe and the log axe. The log axe is the slowest axe but the normal axe is still decent but like you said with skill points it makes it easier to use or with the lumberjack occupation
Great video, well put together and informative! I bought this game years ago on Steam and for some reason just never really got into it much so I decided to download the game again today and give it a go, this video will make things a little easier - thanks again! :)
Did you try to allocate more ram memory to the game? In game config file the max is 1-2GB and if you have more like 4 or 8 you can safely tune it up to have better framerate.
I got some tips( I’ll edit this when I can) Save the items needed for jarring, you’ll need that stuff for preserving your harvest when the powers down Have a good long blunt, blade, or axe as a primary, a short blunt and blade as secondary, and a handgun for when your aiming is good. I always keep a axe, screwdriver and hammer as my weapons. Keep a bug out bag in your shelter, have it stocked with rations, medical supplies, tools, etc. it will help if your base is overrun and you need to flee. That way you won’t have lost everything and are able to build a new safe house. Dexterous is a good trait to have, let’s say you have to grab some quick loot while a horde is banging at the door, the dexterous trait allows you to grab the items needed and get out as soon as possible.
Regarding the axes: Two handed axes are kind of hard to use till you get some levels, but handaxes are fine. They have good swing speed even at level 0, and deal decent damage. And unlike blunt weapons - axes only use one skill for all variants. So leveling up with handaxe will let you use two-handed axes more efficiently.
Agreed, Also in the video his character uses the wood axe which is not great for combat (great for cutting trees, though). Fireaxe and handaxe are superior for combat purposes.
walk to ALSO lets you walk through the woods more efficiently!!! your char will avoid trees! getting chased by a horde? walk to in the woods and hold shift to lose them fast!
