  • On this week's show, we join Bill Winke as he discusses why he sold his farm. Arguably one of the best ever. He covers how he put it together, what improvements he made, and talks about what his plans are for this fall.

I would definatly watch a 3 hour video of bill talking about how he managed his farm, who wouldn't want to see that? We could all gain a ton of knowledge, needless to say im excited for the next video!

Was anxiously awaiting this episode, and it didn't disappoint. I know you want to turn the page on this farm, but I think others will agree that we are interested in any other stories, circumstances, etc. on the sale of this great farm that you are comfortable sharing. Looking forward to the recollecting the great hunts you had on this farm next video. Lastly, very interested in hearing your real-time progress on finding your new farm. What you are looking for, what you are not looking for, size, layout, neighbors, water, etc. Could learn a lot from you through this process if you are willing to share. Thanks again Bill.

Hi Bill. Very interesting history on your farm. I for one would love to hear you go more in depth on the land and herd management you did there over the years. I don't think many people realize just how much work it is to build a farm like you did. Thanks for the journey on your farm. I've been watching MWW since day 1 and you guys were the start of the semi live hunting format which is huge right now. Congrats on the move closer to your parents, a move you will undoubtedly never regret. Best of luck this season and make sure you keep contributing whenever you can haha!

    Bill,
I know you said you won't talk about it again. We respect that.
But, man there is a lot of knowledge that we could gain from you past experiences grooming a farm.
Could this be something you do on you daily blogs with like a Go Pro.... I think it would be well received my many.... I would be willing to listen to what you have touched on this video for hours. Maybe.... or could you take a poll on it? Thanks

I get it but I’m still in shock. I can’t imagine how you must feel, even though you are doing what’s best for you and your family. The immense connection you have to that farm must be heart wrenching to leave. I could listen to hours of your farm’s history and what you did and learned there. Best of luck with the next chapter, what a great story the last 18 years has been.

Your montage of the hunts over the years are fantastic, great job! You are absolutely correct about the memories made with the children. I am from Maine, we have great deer and I have been fortunate over the last 50 years to take some nice deer. As you stated, my most memorable moments are when my two daughters at the age of 10 and 12 started harvesting deer, mostly on youth day. We don't have the deer you do but we all share the same passion. I am think after watching all your series on TH-cam I need to haul my camper to Iowa for 10 days or so😂. God bless you and your family and for keeping the hunting heritage alive!

Well Bill, I think you should do you like I’ve done this year, I have no leases, I’m hunting only public access Lands. But I’ve gone to a saddle hunting system, and I have to tell you I really really love it. I can adjust wherever I am hunting based on the wind. I can go in anywhere it’s light, I can get down and take everything with me, as quiet as a squirrel. It is really back to actually hunting, no sitting over food plots just scouting and finding trails areas where the deer have to go because the terrain features the water. Every day is a new hunt.

Wish someone from Florida Game and Fish would watch this. We have horrible buck to doe ratios on public land in the central part of the state. I've conducted deer counts with several biologist from FWC for over 20 years. They just don't get it. It's sad. They have changed it recently but you use to be able to shoot two bucks a day with 5 inches of antler, no possession limit. If it was brown it was down. They may be coming around but they still don't harvest enough does. Think it's called red tape.

I think about everyone would love for you to go into detail with possibly a 30-45 minute video on how you set that farm up. Let's make it happen!

It's more about you and what you do than it is where. Love your stuff and look forward to new adventures.

Its kind of funny I feel like I've watched so many episodes of Midwest Whitetail that I've been at the farm myself lol! It's crazy you guys seemed to have the perfect piece of property not that you didn't have any problems but having a buck ratio like that must've been an amazing thing. I'm looking forward to you guys claiming new territory it should be great to watch!

Bill Thanks for being up front. To many public personalities, take you right up to the story then keep it to themselves. Thanks for being open and God Bless

Great video! I think I would have had to move mom and dad down there beside you and kept that once in a lifetime goldmine! I'm really looking forward to seeing you make magic on some new ground!

Awesome story! I bought my first 150 acres here in Tennessee and I am thoroughly enjoying developing it for deer and turkey hunting. Keep posting videos like this. You should also do one explaining mistakes you made or things you learned not to do when developing a farm for hunting.

I did make some mistakes, for sure. I will figure out a place to explain more - maybe the written blogs or the Daily Video Blog. - Bill

One thing you didn't mention or go into great detail about was the discipling of the hunters you spent time on. Not faith wise, as Im sure they got that without effort. You gave them a place to hunt, an environment to hone their craft in videography and created a lab to experiment growing the perfect hunting property. Those men and women learned a ton from you. To see that over the years has been a joy. You are not selfish person. You are a giver, Bill. Dont ever apologize about talking to much. I know I enjoy all your videos. God bless you dear brother. God bless you...
