The title of this video is frighteningly appropriate in ways most people don't even know, except I would change "Tried to" to "Have Been and Are Trying to". I have been using neem-seed infusions, watered in, as well as introducing beneficial insects over the years, but am just now beginning to work with BTI. I don't know why I waited so long to consider using it... maybe because I thought it might significantly impact the entire microbial ecology of the soil in some negative way, but I don't have any reason to necessarily assume that, and it this point I almost don't care, as long as it resolves the gnat cycles! Great video, thank you!
I will never try to start seedlings inside for my garden or garden indoors without the dunks again! It works so great!!! It's so amazing I wish more people saw this because hardly anyone seems to know.
Thank you. I just saw two flying around my potatoes slips. I am going to water them today with your solution. I also going to use the vinegar solution. Love that tomato plant. I just ordered the mosquito dunk. Thanks.
I just did battle with fungus gnats with the sticky traps and mosquito dunks. I didn't have any luck at all with the ACV and dawn. But I was pretty surprised how quickly the traps and dunks caused the gnat population to go from imminent infestation to ghost town.
Oh my gosh, thank you for this!!! Just about to watch it! I've tried everything to get rid of these darn black bugs! My next step was to burn the house down, but I'll try your suggestions first!
@@beesandseeds ack! They sure are awful! Somehow they managed to accumulate on the fruit vegetables that we feed our two little guinea pigs so they are everywhere! Correction, they WERE everywhere! I've managed to get them away from my plants now that they're all outdoors anyway, but there's still a good 10 that I can see near our Guinea's cage. We have the fly sticks, those yellow super sticky butterfly things everywhere, the vinegar traps, just everything LOL. 😳
@@beesandseeds I just thought of something, there's tons of flying bugs when I go outside, these little buggers a threat to our plants even once they are planted outside?
We use fly strips, sugar water & acv diy traps, cinnamon, and garlic powder. Seems like they don't all prefer one thing. I'll check out those little donuts you have there.

Thank you! I find it works amazingly well. I’ll get some gnats sometimes when I bring new plants in but otherwise I’m gnat free

Thank you! They are annoying
i do too. with such great passion.

The dunks are the best! I will never have indoor plants again without watering with them lol.
Great ideas ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Hope you never have to deal with them lol.
I hope you're getting on top of these. Good job
Thank you! I am 😊

The dunks and the unattractive yellow sticky traps work the best.

Yes! Those are the winters indeed!

Right?! They are awful! You should see all the fly traps we had just black with the gnats. Horrible little things.

Good to know!
Hopefully you never have to deal with them. They’re a pain lol
I could see the 'before' and 'after' difference in the number of gnats. Good luck with the rest! - Rick
Thank you!
Good luck with your gnats.
Thanks!
Did the dunks work well??
Yes they seem to be. I’m watering with them and using the sticky traps. I’m not seeing the flies and there had been tons of them.

The fly strips work so well but they are not so attractive lol
I am treating with the same method!! Good Luck to us both! These gnats are soooooo annoying!!! 😱😊😊
Good luck! They are really soooo annoying indeed! I will never water without mosquito dunks or bits again lol
You’re doing your part to rid those pesky gnats! If they ever mutate and develop a taste for human juice, then we’re in trouble.🩸
We are DEAD lol
they did and we call them mosquitos

Use Baygon! you're welcome.
Thank you for the suggestion.
