    Great Explanation for Forward-Feed Multiple Evaporator, but you should have explained how Backward-feed, Parallel-feed and Mixed-feed works.

    It took a couple of minutes for me grasp the concept. But then the explanation became very clear. The diagram isn't very clear - for each stage, the incoming liquid pipe and the outgoing liquid pipe appear to be connected. But for the explanation to make sense, these two pipes should be unconnected.

    Hi, may I know the vapour (raw juice) that comes from first effect to second effect, and acts as heating medium. Then it will leave as condensate. Will the feed (raw juice) be wasted? Thank you!

      I guess the vapour is water, and normally the condensate is used as a recicle to the process...

      No. vapour in first effect convert into liquid( generally water as for most of solutions which is desirable to concentrate in evaporator have water as solvent) after condensation and it may used for steam generation which will use in first effect for economical aspect.

    sir as usual juice will pass from different evaporator, the concentration and viscosity will be increased. my question is wheather we have to consider viscosity or not???

      No, in these examples we do not consider viscosity separately in conducting mass and energy balances. The influence of viscosity on flow rate is embedded in the mass flow rate terms that are used in calculations.

      Yes, boiling occurs but at low temperature due to low pressure in the vessel. Boiling results in the formation of vapors.

      its equivalent to pyrogen fee water distillation multi column unit .excellent, consumes lesser steam with maximum through put.
