- The full Drive & Sound with the all new 2014 Audi A3 Sedan/Limousine powered by the 1.4 TFSI (cylinder on demand) delivering 140 hp and 250 Nm. Due to the smart cylinder deactivation system the car can partly run on only 2 cylinders and therefore has a lower consumption than the 1.4 TFSI without this technology (e.g. the ones in Skoda Octavia III, Seat Leon,...) Especially when coupled to the "dry-double-clutch" 7-speed S-Tronic acceleration figures are really impressive and also consumption is very low. Besides the nice engine the new lightweight MQB platform greatly influences the character of this car. Due to the weight distribution of almost 50/50 there is literally no understeer left and driving curvy roads is a sheer pleasure. Also the ride is a lot more comfortable than the one of the "old" A3, even without magnetic ride. On the Autobahn the consumption was around 6.5 - 7.0 when driving normally, but on country roads you are easily able to reach 5.x. As always please LIKE / COMMENT / SUBSCRIBE!

I've seen elsewhere that this car does it in 8.2 how come it's 7.4 on here? I don't know which to believe lol
I think that car has more power than 140 hp. It's very fast. Perfect car on everyday
lucek385 I have the 1.4 S-Line from 2015 with 125hp and it goes forward the same pretty much.
@@REV01337 no mate tour car does 0 to 60 in 9.2 seconds this done it in 7.4 it has about 160hp

I want to buy an audi A3, I was not sure if I want a 1.4 or an 1.8 or maybe an s3. Because I like quick cars. I never expected this 1.4 was that quick! Thanks for the video! That wil save me like 10 grand!

I like the sedan more then the hatch i drive a 2012 Mercedes s204 but maybe i buy a3 in a few years looks good

Dies ist meinest Erachtens die leichte 7-Gang S-Tronic mit Trockenkupplung, ich meine die gab es im Vorgänger auch schon, zumindest beim 1.4 TFSI. In jedem Fall finde ich das Getriebe sehr sehr gut, komfortabel genug und mit sehr schnellen Schaltzeiten.

Hab seit kurzem auch eine A3 Limousine mit dem 1.4 TFSi-Motor (Handschaltung-125 PS) aber wusste gar nicht, dass der Motor auch mit der Zylinderabschaltung arbeitet. Wann/Woran merke ich, das der Motor nur noch in 2 statt 4 Brennkammern Benzin einspritzt? Macht der die Zylinderabschaltung auch im DriveSelect-Modus Dynamik?

If slowly driven it should be a little bit above 6L/100km. If driven faster 7L/100km. If you drive like a mad man, over 8L should be possible too.
ich finde dass das ein sehr schönes auto ist und vor allem gut zu etwas jüngeren fahrern (22-26 jahre ca.) passt.
Ist doch Quark. So ein jüngerer Fahrer hat typischerweise nicht die Kohle für den Spaß (als Neuwagen).
Habe dieser Tage mal einen konfiguriert: ca. 35.200€.
Für das Geld ist er noch nicht angemeldet und noch kein Unterhalt bezahlt...

@@xolanimtha really? I saw another video where it does the low sixes in the city. My S40 2.4 does around 10.5 in the city😭. A 1.4tfsi is definitely better

@@aleks8078 I am very much happy. It saves alot of fuel and takes off on command. Smooth auto shift and looks like a young Queen... I love it man. I'd recommend it.
@@xolanimtha thank you. I am thinking of buying manual shift becasue, I am a young driver so it cant do no harm and here in europe, and where I am from, its more common to drive with stick. Do you think the car will still have the same "stats" like you mentioned with manual gearbox? Overall smoothness etc....
@@aleks8078 I think the manual transmission would be just as nice. I personally prefer an Automatic as it comes with a 7 speed gearbox. An Audi is an Audi whether Auto or manual. All the best with the hunt. Please let me know what you find. I really am enjoying mine so far.
oh man, die A3 sahen aber auch mal kompakter aus. man hat das gefühl als würde alles mehr oder weniger ein einheitsauto werden bei audi
Nun gut, den 3-Türer und Sportback gibts ja auch noch. Wenn man allerdings viel Langstrecke fährt und meisten zu zweit unterwegs, dann ist die Limousine denke ich eine sehr interessante Wahl. Und auf Grund der neueren Architektur würde ich sie klar einer A4 Limousine vorziehen. Ich spare jetzt schon auf meine S3 Limousine,LED, S-Tronic, Magnetic Ride und 19 Zöller ... ;-)

Can you please tell me the fuel consumption?how many litres for 50km/h,80km/h,120km/h and 150km/h?
Unfortunately I do not have those figures at hand and cannot test them right now. I think more importantly is the average consumption. If you drive defensively its probably something with 5.x litres, at normal drive 6.5 - 7.5, and you will have a hard time to reach more than 10 litres, so its very fuel efficient and made for you daily drives with a high percentage of partial load operation.

Ja! Tachogenauigkeit hin oder her, er bleibt in jedem Fall der subjektive und objektive Eindruck, dass dieser Motor im Zusammenspiel mit dem sehr leichten A3 äußerst performant ist!

But why is it so quick?
1. the car is light
2. the turbo charged engine delivers already good power from low rpms
3. the automatic transmission (DSG) changes gears very very fast
4. 7 gears instead of 6
Take away the DSG and it takes 8.2 sec from 0-100 which is still pretty impressive.
Hat Jemand vllt eine Ahnung warum der A3 mit diesem 140 ps Motor schneller beschleunigt als der 150 ps 2 Liter Diesel?
da sollte kein großer Unterschied sein. Eventuell ein Fahrzeug mit DSG mit einem Handschalter verglichen?
Davon ab würde ich sowieso den Benziner vorziehen, auch wenn sie gleich schnell wären.
