    Did Randy ever find the tool he needed?

    I’ve never heard of them before but they look good quality.
    Every hand tool company now needs to have that lifetime guarantee to compete

    Yall should do the 213pc Sata mechanic tool box set. No one on you tube has done that set, it would be interesting to see.

    Eh.......I don't know I still love my Tekton tools but I would love to see Sata vs Tekton sometime.

    Ever since the old Mac, matco, proto and snap on patients and designs expired over the last 3 or 4 years, these and many others, all the way to harbor freight, now use those very same designs and patient numbers for their tools. Have bought several pair of different hand tools, specially pliers, over the past 2 years and compare to my older Mac sets and they are identical in every single way possible!

      On one hand that sucks because the people who worked hard and did lots of RnD are getting screwed over, but good for us because the common man can afford great tools we couldn't afford years ago, for half the price. I'm glad I'm getting into tool shopping, now seems like a great time. Harbor Freight is doing so well their "super coupons" don't work for like 70% of their higher brands because they know people are going to buy them 😂

    Those look exactly like the old allen brand tools I used to by and have hard almost zero issues in almost 20 years. Allen brand was good quality for the price. I wanna check this new company out and see if it is the same maker now

    No surprise. Sata is the company who made tools for GearWrench, Apex Tool etc.

    Sata and Apex- lifetime warranty for the win. High end for those of us that aren't dumb enough to pay Snap On's prices

    you dont test them or tell os how much slop or how much force does it take before they fail. there are dozens of brands that are shiny chrome but most are junk

    The pliers look like the Quinn Electrician pliers from HF and the ratchet looks like the Pittsburgh and Kobalt Ratchet.

    The insulated tools are tempting because of their price. Of course I'd need to see some protection testing versus the name-brands before I think about that.

    I like to use their air hoses on my air compressors. They are high quality, long, withstand pressure, and do not pass heat to the other end.

    Sooo what is it about these tools that makes them “Industrial” ?

    • @10YearOldTom
      @10YearOldTom 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sockets look thicker than a standard chrome American socket. The American high quality stuff is thin and strong. This cheaper stuff is thicker to achieve the same or similar strength. The old dude probably likens this stuff to high quality industrial tools that would be heavy and thick. like a 3/4" set.

    Got this is more like The comedy hour. Or I should say, for 6 minutes. Guys SATA is the overseas version similar to gearwrench. and I can't see how so many people think that is great. They're okay but a lot of their stuff is crap. I haven't spoke to somebody gearwrench you laughed and said you had some of our stuff is crap. I actually think sata is actually better than gearwrench. I'm kind of wondering did any of you guys ever fix anything? like I mean with your own two hands laying on the ground with some jack stands or taking a motor apart or something like that.

    Number one tool brand in China...most of these tools are made in China not Taiwan. Just another Chinese tool brand ,trying to look like SK.. junk, compared to American made tools. If you want mid grade tools just buy gearwrench......love the channel 👍🇺🇸
