- My attempt to vinyl wrap my 2023 Chevy Colorado Z71. I used the cheaper brand called vivid midnight black. It matches pretty close to my factory black paint, not trying to make it perfect but to protect my paint.

Yes sir !! Seems like you you find the wrapping interesting so I will do a pt2 ! Satin is supposed to be harder you can’t stretch as much 😩

Nice work. I've never wrapped before and want to take the plunge. I've been thinking of wrapping parts of my '23 Colorado Trailboss. Especially the grill and bumper area, all the plastic really pulls away from the aesthetic. My problem is finding the right color for the Glacier Blue Metallic paint. I want to do a gloss black on the fender flares, door handles, and the door pillars.
The grill and door handles will really be a pain in the ass 100% but the others would be no problem ! It just takes time and also buy extra 😂
@Downtimelost I'm thinking about using the knifeless cutting tape to shape around most of the grill and difficult parts, leaving it that black color. I'm thinking an end not wrapping around would eventually roll up though.

Not bad, but that’s one of those jobs that I’d leave to the “professionals.” 🙂 Thinking about doing a Satin PPF on my truck.
It’s not that hard just very time consuming !! 😩
The problem with a wrap is that they never last more than a couple of years and then it's a nightmare to remove. You might have been better off with some thick fender flares to keep brush away from the paint. Not sure if they make aftermarket fender flares for these trucks yet.

I tried wrapping my tail lights in tint film and after 3 tries I quit. These Colorado tail lights are a mother. Tried on and off the truck. Too many bends and shit. Was able to install the tint on the housing but the edges looked terrible so I ripped it off and threw it away. 😂 wrapping is fucking HARD! You need serious patience for it.
It’s definitely super rough and my job is not perfect but to protect my paint I’m gonna keep it lol

I can't stand doing vinyl work myself and I can't tell you how many decals I've been through cause I've fucked up XD, I have the wild idea of gettin my whole truck rhino lined but we shall see.

The bed looks like a nightmare to wrap, so many curves and lines. I took my work van to have it wrapped, it took 3 guys about 3 hours to do and thats nearly all straight lines on a vehicle type they've probably done 100 times. You did a great job with it, seems like one of those things were each try takes less time but still comes out better. 🤘
