"The Truth is hidden in the details." The self-help or self-improvement industry, usually, harps on about vague or general guidelines. It is refreshing to see a counter-argument to the popular narrative. You have raised several important practical points.
Online takes some money, in your neighborhood 0 is possible. Knock on neighbor's doors and clean their garage, yard, house, car. Cut the price if they supply bags and supplies, with your 40-120 left over print fliers, put them up everywhere...get a few more jobs, then get a business license. Keep pounding the pavement, get great at what you do, and add extra income opportunities by diversifying into similar businesses, windows, carpet cleaning, painting......this is America, you have more opportunity then almost anywhere else in the world....don't let that opportunity go to waste.
Great point couldn’t agree more! My main point is, you need things to start, I used to go door to door blowing leaves, but I still needed a blower. One of my first business was a cleaning company, I needed to purchase materials and everything else. There are always business expenses, no matter what you do. $0 is impossible.
