Hiroshi Yoshimura was an exceptional composer .
He was my father’s @birdparis (Yoichi Ueno /mime artist ) partner for his contemporary performances , they created many performances together .
Also the beginning of Quiet Forest , my father recorded this French words.
Thank you very much for posting this music .

The fact that there is a vast ocean of music that is impossible for any one person to listen to in one lifetime simultaneously fills me with both excitement & melancholy. On one hand there will be no end to the new and varied pieces strewn about this world for my auditory pleasure. On the other, I will only grasp the slightest breath of what the collective discography of the universe has to offer. Perhaps the the reason I’m let down the most is that I may never listen to my favorite song. Nestled in the recesses of a cassette in a dusty box, in the corner of a Swedish pop band’s debut album, on the lips of an aboriginal woman, or performed in a French village in 1639. But most frustrating of all, what if I’ve already heard it? Should I wonder, seeking a collection of beats and pauses that was performed specifically for me? I don’t know, but the pursuit does have a great soundtrack.

Maybe we can access ALL the music of the universe once we return to our non-corporeal forms, back to where there aren't any questions or things to wonder about just because we once again know all the answers. I hope so anyway. I'm looking forward to it actually. It's too damn hard being a human - maybe why it's just for a hundred years or so...a blink in Time when you really live for what we'd consider infinity. ;)

For anyone interested, here is an approximate translation of the french text. Do not read if you wish to keep some mystery alive :)
    1. Quiet forest : « My dear friend, whenever I travel only to find pure air, without even realizing, i´ll go into the rainforest. It’s very tranquil, inside of the forest. Moss covered trees were waving their long green beards in the wing. I heard the fairies whispering between themselves. The pure air: that was this whispering. The gift of the forest. »
    2. Whispering : « The fragant music of the forest… »
With a very strong japanese accent, the narrator invites us into this unexpected journey with him, as a friend, walking in the forest, contemplating pure and quiet nature.
He invites us to follow him, to a place he call peace. This music, it is the place he call peace.
    The gift of Hiroshi Yoshimura.

BRO DID YOU NOTICE THAT THE DEEP ECHOES TRACK ON THIS ALBUM IS LITERALLY JUST THE INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF THE FIRST TRACK QUIET FOREST. LIKE DEEP ECHOES IS LITERALLY JUST QUIET FOREST WITHOUT THE FRENCH VOCALS! BUT THEN I THOUGHT, WAIT IS THAT INTENTIONAL? AND THEN I LOOKED AT THE SONG'S TITLES AND REALIZED THAT DEEP ECHOES IS LITERALLY LIKE AN ECHO OF THE SONG QUIET FOREST. LIKE IF YOU WENT INTO A QUIET FOREST AND PLAYED THE INTRO TRACK REALLY LOUD, THEN DEEP ECHOES WOULD BE THE SOUND THAT ECHOES BACK. THAT SHIT JUST BLEW MY MIND

My go to album now. You can hear the whole planet's music here. Why humans exist, to bring to life what Mother Earth expresses to us every second. If all we did was play and listen to music together, what a different world it would be. Make the exchange of goods and services into music, instead of gold-based bits of paper, and we'll all be rich.

      Hi, here are the lyrics.
      Mon cher ami
And the lyrics translated in english.
      My dear friend
When I travel I only look for the clear air
Without realizing it, I'll go to the rain forest
It's very quiet in the forest interior
The trees covered with moss made their long green beards float
I heard the fairies whispering to each other
The clear air was that whispering, the gift of the forest.

💥Will SOMEONE PLEASE 🙏 issue the HIROSHI YOSHIMURA COMPLETE BOX SET ??? Maybe we could contact H.Y.’s widow and ask if a crowdsourcing campaign could get this going.

    this man is so prolific

    • @DenisYutbr
      @DenisYutbr 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Not quite true. Wikipedia lists only 12 albums. Now compare it to people like Robert Rich or Steve Roach. Usually being too prolific is bad for the quality of output (exceptions are rare)
