Some can, some cant. I cant. It appears that way with using standard degrees with 0 and 90. In reality when you use weird bearings like 37 degrees and 117 its very easy to forget them if you don't write them down. Also speaking from experience, once you make that first turn in direction all you pay attention to is pace count. At the end of counting paces its very easy to second guess how you adjusted that one compass you have. For me, its easier to just set that first one, put it in my pocket and know that's its 100% correct for where Im headed. That is why you use two compasses.
Ok, I never understood why some soldiers couldn't pass the Land-nav course. I could try showing them your trick and maybe more could pass. I referred several others to check out your channel. I've already seen one soldier get lost and die in training, so I'd like to share as many tips and trick to anyone I can.
Great video as always. One point that I think could have been clearer, your pace count on the 90° leg is determined by how far you have to walk the 90° heading to totally clear the object you're trying to get around so that you can resume your original, unobstructed heading. You arbitrarily chose 100 paces in this video for the point of illustration. It might only be 20 paces or it might be 1,000 paces if it's a large lake. What's important is to keep an accurate count of how many paces you have to walk on the 90° leg to totally clear the object so that you can resume your original, unobstructed heading. You don't want to have to make any more corrections to clear the object.
Dave, you have to be one of the most, if not THE MOST innovative wilderness survival/bushcraft people on TH-cam. I lost count of how many different channels I watch. Most seem to be more about gear testing and reviews. Several I have found have no clue as to what they are doing, as they make it up as they go (and not very well I might add). You have spoken of your mentors in the past and the lessons they taught you. You have taken all of that and infused it with your own ideas to really pass on awesome information to your viewers. Thank you and keep up with the great content Brother!
Thank you brother! I hear ya on the gear reviews, just more and more each day. Use what ya have and use your imagination! Take care brother and thanks for the comments.
I must say as an older woman who drinks coffee but is not ready for polyester pants with an elastic waistband, your velcro replacement for a zipper is GENIUS!
I always learn something new watching your channel, and this series has been no exception. I especially liked the DIY trash bag stuff sack! Truly devious- and I respect that! Thanks again for the time and trouble you take.
Over the years you have been pretty mysterious so I always like when you tell stories from back in the day and talk about your personal life. Us bushcrafters have a lot in common.
I enjoyed your video. I have never seen anyone do the bungee trick on a poncho liner or blanket. Thanks, great tip. I have also never seen anyone put their feet in a pack to push down gear like you did. Super cool tip. Thanks! You have just taught an old dog a few new tricks!
Great to see you in the studio making a video, Dave. Really appreciate the tips, especially the one about a snag-free lanyard for a machete or knife. Great idea. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Hey Dave, have you seen the Self-Reliance "Woodsman's Quilt" yet? Poncho liner with center zipper & edge Zipper, & a strap/buckle about 2/3 of the way on one end. Along with the usual tie outs. It's quite an improvement the military didn't think of.
Good idea with the paracord/cord lock on the pants. The new Canadian Army issue pants have that with elastic cord which is nice because once you have it adjust you can still take it on and off without worrying about it. There also is a double lower leg. The inner legs is tucked into your boot or sock and the outer leg hangs down normal. This really helps keep insects like ticks from getting on you. Keep up the great videos
Dave , you always got good ideas. I love watching your videos, I thought I was never going to quit laughing , When you was talking about the Long neck rap and you pull it over your head , you looked like Kenny on South Park !! Going back to look for 1-4 . Thanks Dave ,you’re the man !
Wouldn't it be cool if we could all have a Dave in our backpack.... 24 mins into video. neat trick with the black bag. Great video yet again. Thanks Dave.
I'm late to the campfire, but wow, I cannot believe how knowledgeable you are, sir. Don't ever forget how valuable you are to us wannabe bushcrafters. Holy moly, so much to learn, explore, try & experience! Thanks so much. You remind me so much of my son...& all that he knows & puts into practice. God bless you both and everything you put your hands to.
Another excellent video and helpful tips Dave. What you ought to do is make a compilation video of all the comical images of you; such as the alien red headlights, the funny hats, the bizarre situations and attires you've donned over the years.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Lol, that would be a cool video but I'd have to dig back through my portable hard drives for the images. It would take a while
I've worn my pants tucked into my socks to seal them up. You can then put Gaters over that to keep briefs and such off your socks. Great tip on compass skills.
I have the same woodland and marpat woobies! So, a knife, a bottle top and some shock cord and there I was testing out Dave's ideas! Woobie scarf and woobie schemag style head wrap also work awesome too. Though, I'd recommend head wrap woobie first and then cloak woobie. Can also make a sort of sleeve by tying the end tieout to a middle tie out.
I love your channel so much, I wish I have found it years ago. I'm always impressed at how creative you are and how genuine you are. if I had to only watch one TH-cam channel it would be yours
If you run out of cold weather, come on up to western NY, where we have snow till May! Thanks again for your efforts in making us videos! Hope you feel better soon!
Hi there, I am a Turkish citizen from Izmir. I really appreciate your informative videos. Even if you didn't talk about nature, survival or sustenance, I would keep watching you for the way you talk, laugh and of course for your character. By the way a couple of weeks ago I really enjoyed your video with your son. He seems to be quite a character. Have a nice time. Thanks again for the videos, brother.
Thanks bud just got into the outdoors about a year back. I have learned a lot from you and other folks on youtube. keep up the good work and love the videos. thank again.
I like the bungee ball idea. At least that way you're not putting holes in it as you would with a blanket pin or having to look for a rock. The trash bag vacuum bag is cool. I'm extremely happy that at least my wife's feet are small enough to fit in the pack lol. On pants that don't have a built-in ability to blouse themselves a easy thing to use is a rubber band. When it's really cold I like to use a dust mask the outside of that will get frosty but it has kept the condensate from areas where you don't want it. On a final note I'm always excited to see what you've come up with or what knowledge you're sharing and thanks for making the time to spend with us. God bless and stay safe.
I'm 10 years your senior, NOT in bushcraft years, and I have something I would like to share with you.. Your commitment and desire to share what you have learned with others definitely shows, David! Your following is amazing, and I do suspect that it is related to your sincerity and humbleness in your delivery. You have the ability to help every one feel important. I respect your desire to mentor others in their journey towards the realization of the dream you have achieved. Congratulations are in order because you are helping others achieve a need to find the finer things in life that they have lost sight of...a little bit of worthwhile peace and quiet or self sufficiency. You are a breath of fresh air in the crazy life for many who are trapped in the work of living. I am happy for you....never change what you are doing if you are happy.... As a mother of 5 and a grandmother to 6 little ones, never stop being who you are.... your son will cherish every moment that you have spent with him.
Great vid..! I am a camper and a bit bushcrafter, not an expert. I am a camper, not a guy who goes out to survive..! I want to stay out of big trouble, but there for you need knowledge for what you can do and not do. Here I learn a lot of tricks to do that. Thank you. I am not a hunter at all, I like to be a part of nature, not to fight it. Regards, Tony.
Awesome video as always. I'm really digging the fold up hat. That would be very useful in my area with mossies and ticks and too much sun. Loved it all actually. Thanks Dave.
Heyyyyyyy David these were some great ideas, for me I liked the first one with the bungee cords and the mosquitoes, a lot of folks that come from out of state think Arizona don't have them I can tell them they are wrong. I can also tell them that this desert can kill them in a hurry with it's heat and cold if you don't know what you are doing, always carry a lot of water no matter where you go if you don't see any buildings that would have running water. I love your videos. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Heeyyy Thomas! Man I guess theres bugs every where. Larger amounts tho near standing pools of water. I know nothing of the hot arrid desert other than it can kill you if not prepared! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
You Sir, are truly inspirational. I have been watching your Chanel for a couple of years now, and I have learned so much. I get excited like a child when you release a new video (I'm 47 yo). Your videos help lift my mood on bad days, and make my good days so much better, a sincere thank you. God bless you and your family.
Costco used to sell convertible cargo pants/shorts with a shockcord/cord lock closure about 12 years ago. I trashed a few dozen pairs, but they were great.
Sorry about the sinuses - a problem I'm very familiar with. Recently had a cold and one day, I tell ya, my nose did not stop running all day. And that's when I coulda used a great video like this one to cheer me up. Thanks my friend. Ticks! Man, don't get me started.
I have just finished watching this whole series Tips and Tricks. Its taken me a couple of weeks on and off but I have learnt a couple of things and found your series worth while watching. Even if I hadn't learnt anything, you're a good sport and a funny guy. Thanks for the effort you put into these videos. The rolled up denim makes excellent char cigars and the old camping chair bag is just right for the tins of gas I carry for a stove and light, always been a pain but that chair bag is the solution.
@@Reallybigmonkey1 I stumbled upon your channel a month or so ago. Think I made the mistake of looking at folding saw comparisons, who knew there was so much controversy around folding saws!?!? You sure are dedicated to spending as much time in the woods as possible. I could go out and stay out, hate having to wrap it up and go home. I spend a lot of time fishing and the only way to be by the water at first light and last light is to stay there all night, sometimes for several nights.
@@Reallybigmonkey1 fishing is the best excuse to get out into the middle of nowhere, I have to carry so much gear, just for fishing, so getting the camping gear down to a minimum is important. Once I get set up I could just stay there and often do, until I run out of milk. I'm an Olympic coffee drinker , coffee with milk. Gone are the days when you could just head to the nearest farm and buy some milk and eggs, in this part of the world anyway.
Good seeing you again! Virginia and I have the cough and sinus congestion here in Southern Oregon ... hard to get rid of! I really appreciate the Para cord lanyard with the cord lock on your machete (will definitely use that idea!) As for the over sized pants idea, we went to the Army and Navy store and bought some used over-sized wool trousers and use those in a similar fashion (Virginia doesn't care much for the fashion statement, but it works for cold weather!) Keep those ideas coming! Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clark and Virginia
Hello Clark and Virginia! I'm glad you liked the tips. No big deal if them pants don't look fashionable. Remember my old saying, I ain't trying to win no beauty contest!
Hy Dave! I love your videos! A lot of cool tips. Thank you and take care. The best is your laughter, i get always a smile on my face. Greatings from germany Michel
Absolutely, I do. That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I rarely "share" other peoples' stuff on my FB page, but THAT one just had to be seen by more people. I thank you for all your hard work, and especially leaving in the bumbles that most would edit out. I recall a wise man saying, "Hey, this is real life here."
Thankyou again for another great video .. Im getting so excited about getting out camping again and I appreciate your tips !! Still love that laugh of yours !!
Howdy RBM1, I always enjoy your lessons. A lot of clever ideas and tricks. I really like those compasses, they are really accurate. Keep up the good work.
All that time indoors during the winter is the problem. Our light skin is designed to soak up vitamin D from the sun during the winter season. Sunlight and/or vitamin D supplement will help you from getting sick. Liked them bungee-ball tricks. Missed your cats.
Im thinking i might need to drill some Mora handles for those mini lanyards now. Awesome as always. I'm definitely getting that Grabber hat, its like magic.
Excellent video...was taught this method in the US Army with the exception of we used the Ranger Beads for a pace count...if used as you have shown you will always be on the correct pace...thanks for sharing! from N.C.
Wow David you sure have some of the coolest tricks of the trade. You have taught me some of the coolest things it's hard to remember them all. I'm so thankful for your knowledge of the backwoods. Just wished we where neighbors so you could teach me more. But thank you for sharing your videos & knowledge of everything you know with us. I can go back to a video of something you have shared on TH-cam if I forget something. I learn something new everytime I watch your videos. Keep thoughts tricks of the woods coming. Thanks again, I really mean that. Chris
Reallybigmonkey1 well I've beat you to the crazy part. Growing up i earned Crazy Chris then when i got married i just used the 1st 4 letters of my last name & there it was STIL CRAZY CHRIS after all these years... lol... LMAO!!!!! My Mother got me a coffee mug with that printed on it. So i guess it was right. Hell we both can be crazy @ the same time together. Just different states. One state couldn't handle the both of us.. lol... I really like the times on your last videos. Keep up the great work. Have fun in the woods, Chris from Missouri
Another Fine video Dave, great tips and tricks. I appreciate all your time and the knowledge you share with us. Hopefully the allergies will calm down soon. :) all the best MIC
Going on two years watched every old video this is my favorite Channel on TH-cam I'm very grateful for your friendship if you ever come upon hard times I would be more then proud to help out any way I can! Don't be afraid to ask!!!🌲🌲🚐💨💨💨🌲🌲🌲
As I've stated in the past excellent info, As one with life long sinus issues you have my empathy. My health issues now keep me from my much loved solo trips and so I stay home and reminisce. Take care and hope work gets back to a more normal schedule. Duane
Got nothing to do with the outdoors but I love the velcro idea. I'm an old fart and for some reason have gotten out of sync when putting my pants on.....leaving "the barn door open". The velcro ought to just close itself, more or less. problem solved. Also, got into essential oils because doctors haven't been able to do much for my wife's auto immune problems. I have found that putting just one drop of peppermint oil in a cup of hot water opens me up in a hurry and putting just one drop under my tongue works wonders. Go easy at first because even just the one drop is VERY strong. I hope it works for you, Brother.
“ Two are one, and one is none.” We each have a MC2, and backup Suuntos that are Simpler ( but accurate) training types in our rucks. Chris has a LONG stride, but walks slow absorbing everything.. I think its his military and academic training? My stride is a lot shorter. We hear about groups separating For minor reasons and one gets lost or dead. We stick close! Can you train your pace to one common for a group? Amanda
Exactly! Always carry a back up to vital gear. Especially if it's a small item like a compass it's easier to carry two. Everyone's stride or pace count is difference. Hard to say how to match them up. Take care and thanks for watching Amanda
You might have realize this while you were taping the video, but you could have just used one compass.
Some can, some cant. I cant. It appears that way with using standard degrees with 0 and 90. I've already seen one soldier get lost and die in training, so I'd like to share as many tips and trick to anyone I can.
It's a "One is none; Two is one" mentality, in case you accidentally lose one or break one.
Great video as always. One point that I think could have been clearer, your pace count on the 90° leg is determined by how far you have to walk the 90° heading to totally clear the object you're trying to get around so that you can resume your original, unobstructed heading. I thought that's exactly what he said. What I'd like to know is why we didn't go West first. It would have been only 50 paces :)
Velcro zipper....gotta say I've never thought of that. Awesome ideas.
Aint that neat? Thanks for watching
Dave, you have to be one of the most, if not THE MOST innovative wilderness survival/bushcraft people on TH-cam. I lost count of how many different channels I watch. That was so accurate and kind! :) +
Thank you brother! I hear ya on the gear reviews, just more and more each day. Use what ya have and use your imagination! Take care brother and thanks for the comments.
I gotta say it... Some of your ideas are flat out genius.
Thank you John!
Agreed!
I must say as an older woman who drinks coffee but is not ready for polyester pants with an elastic waistband, your velcro replacement for a zipper is GENIUS!
Thanks Diane! I'm glad you liked that idea.
I love the way your brain works !!!!
Thanks Pam!
Yeah man, my pleasure, I am 63 yrs. young and have been an avid backpacker and canoeist for58 yrs. after this video I am a fan!
Thank you my friend!
We get more self-made giggles from Dave's tutorials than anybody else's. Charming.
Lol, I guess I'm pretty much laughing always
I watch these over and over. Get so much valuable information.
Fantastic to hear that my friend!
Your method of tying a blanket on your shoulders works fantasticly well! Thanks!!!
Thanks! I'm happy you liked it
It' s always a treat when another 'Fun in the Woods' video pops up. I hope those sinuses clear up quickly. Stay well, my friend.
Thanks Craig!
Love your helpful hints always did enjoy your program
Thanks Kenneth!
Thanks! Love your vids and appreciate your time!
Thanks for watching!
I always learn something new watching your channel, and this series has been no exception. I especially liked the DIY trash bag stuff sack! Truly devious- and I respect that! Thanks again for the time and trouble you take.
Fantastic to hear that Alan! Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching brother
Always something new, always a winner. Thanks, Dave hope you and Nick get to feeling better.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it all. Im sooo ready to feel well!
I enjoyed all 5 episodes. I learned a lot and had a few laughs at
some of the head gear. Thank you for posting these videos.
You are very welcome Ken and I'm glad you liked them!
Over the years you have been pretty mysterious so I always like when you tell stories from back in the day and talk about your personal life. Us bushcrafters have a lot in common.
You're probably right, we all had them odd folks that introduced us to camping
I enjoyed your video. I have never seen anyone do the bungee trick on a poncho liner or blanket. Thanks, great tip. I have also never seen anyone put their feet in a pack to push down gear like you did. Super cool tip. Thanks! You have just taught an old dog a few new tricks!
Great to hear that Brian! I have all kinds of neat tricks spread throughout my videos. Thanks for watching brother
Great to see you in the studio making a video, Dave. Really appreciate the tips, especially the one about a snag-free lanyard for a machete or knife. Great idea. Thanks for taking the time to share.
You are very welcome and I am always happy to share. Thanks for watching Jim
No I haven't seen it yet, I'll look it up
Awesome tips and tricks. Thumbs up David.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it all!
That does sound like a great design! Thanks for watching
Dave , you always got good ideas. I love watching your videos,
I thought I was never going to quit laughing ,
When you was talking about the Long neck rap and you pull it over your head , you looked like Kenny on South Park !! Going back to look for 1-4 . Thanks Dave ,you’re the man !
Thanks, I'm glad you like what all I do. LOL, That Kenny dude never goes away! Thanks for watching
Every one of those tips was gold! Thanks Dave.
Thanks Brother Mike!
Wouldn't it be cool if we could all have a Dave in our backpack.... 24 mins into video. neat trick with the black bag. Great video yet again. Thanks Dave.
LOL. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
Really liked the simple yet practical tips for using lanyards! Thanks!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked em all
Good stuff brother.
Thanks for the video
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching Brother Mark
Great tips as usual Dave. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to a part 6 when you're feeling better. Get well soon.
Thanks Jim, I'm glad you liked it. I would love to do more in this series. Thanks for watching
👍. With lots of love from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵, 81/56f today, 10 degrees cooler than yesterday! Crazy!
Thanks Suzi! 51F here
I don't know which is better.. camping, or watching your tips and tricks videos for camping... 👍
Lol, I guess both are fun!
Better late than never! Lol. I'm glad you like what all I do. I'm always happy to help others learn. Thanks for watching and may God bless you too!
Another excellent video and helpful tips Dave.
What you ought to do is make a compilation video of all the comical images of you; such as the alien red headlights, the funny hats, the bizarre situations and attires you've donned over the years.

Good idea Diane
Thanks Again!!! The bungee ball tip is Fantastic!!!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it Brent!
I'm still watching and noting so many great tips!!!
Man them woobies are already multi use and with the bungee balls? Its like a wearable sleep system!
Love these tips and tricks videos, always something new I never thought about!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it all!
You are one talented, creative, and funny bushcrafter! I used to sew things for camping as well.
Thanks Michael!
I love your channel so much, I wish I have found it years ago. I'm always impressed at how creative you are and how genuine you are. if I had to only watch one TH-cam channel it would be yours
Thank you Dominic!
If you run out of cold weather, come on up to western NY, where we have snow till May! Thanks again for your efforts in making us videos! Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks Earl! Brother we are just about out of cold down south.
All great tips Dave. Thanks so much. Miss your videos
Thank you Larry!

Thanks for the awesome tips see you on the next one 🇺🇲🇺🇲
You are very welcome JD and I'm glad you liked it!
Glad to see you Dave! Great tips, thanks. Look forward to your new videos this year.
Take care.
Great hearing from you Jeff!
I have always wondered how those bungee balls worked. Thanks dave!
Man they are the best thing going for connecting fabrics, blankets or even bug nets.
What can I say Dave. You have more tricks than a magician. I love your channel brother. Keep on Keeping on!
LOL, Thanks Casey!
Good coverage of the box method
Thanks!
Can tell that you enjoy sharing all you have learned! Great use of your off-duty time! Thanks for the tips!

Good to see you back ,it's spring over here in Ireland ,3centergrade .
Always great to be back on here Dave!
Awesome video as always. I'm really digging the fold up hat. That would be very useful in my area with mossies and ticks and too much sun. Loved it all actually. Thanks Dave.
Thanks Annette, I'm glad you liked it. Google search Grabber outdoors field net hat
Lots of great tips in this one. Thanks for your time and effort Dave and we'll see ya in the next one.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it Scott
Liked a lot the compression bag trick
Thanks George! I'm glad you liked that
Great video brother! Several awesome tips and tricks! Especially the garbage bag stuff sack trick! Will definitely remember that one!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it all Randy

Always great to hear that and I'm happy you liked it. Thanks for watching
That garbage bag trick is simply brilliant lol.
Thank you my friend!
Thanks! And its always great to hear that. Theres too much negativity in the world today. I like to show some fun and happy times!
Another great video, you always put a smile on our faces and inspire us to get out there and have fun..Thank you!
Thank you my friend

You are very welcome and I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching Daniel
Costco used to sell convertible cargo pants/shorts with a shockcord/cord lock closure about 12 years ago. I trashed a few dozen pairs, but they were great.
That's pretty cool. I had no idea.
Glad to see your turn around is done! More good info!
Thanks Greg!
Hello dave from the UK, good to see you back after your heavy work schedule excellent tips and good advice thanks for sharing ♠
Thanks Norman, always good to be back
Sorry about the sinuses - a problem I'm very familiar with. Recently had a cold and one day, I tell ya, my nose did not stop running all day. And that's when I coulda used a great video like this one to cheer me up. Thanks my friend. Ticks! Man, don't get me started.
Ah man, sounds just like me! But with hacking and gagging. LOL.
Thanks Allan, I'm glad you watched them all brother
@@Reallybigmonkey1 I stumbled upon your channel a month or so ago. Think I made the mistake of looking at folding saw comparisons, who knew there was so much controversy around folding saws!?!? You sure are dedicated to spending as much time in the woods as possible. I could go out and stay out, hate having to wrap it up and go home. I spend a lot of time fishing and the only way to be by the water at first light and last light is to stay there all night, sometimes for several nights.
Ah, yes. Everyone loves to argue over folding saws. And, batoning! Nothing beats fishing for days does it?
@@Reallybigmonkey1 fishing is the best excuse to get out into the middle of nowhere, I have to carry so much gear, just for fishing, so getting the camping gear down to a minimum is important. Once I get set up I could just stay there and often do, until I run out of milk. I'm an Olympic coffee drinker , coffee with milk. Gone are the days when you could just head to the nearest farm and buy some milk and eggs, in this part of the world anyway.
Good seeing you again!
Virginia and I have the cough and sinus congestion here in Southern Oregon ... hard to get rid of!
I really appreciate the Para cord lanyard with the cord lock on your machete (will definitely use that idea!)
As for the over sized pants idea, we went to the Army and Navy store and bought some used over-sized wool trousers and use those in a similar fashion (Virginia doesn't care much for the fashion statement, but it works for cold weather!)
Keep those ideas coming!
Thank you Michel! I'm glad you like all the videos. Thanks for watching and greetings back at you from Georgia in the U.S.A.
Yess! Finally a upload!! Popcorn time
Just don't forget to put the lid on the popper, eh?
LOL, You must remember that video!
Hey Dave, I am happy I can watch now a new awesome Video from you. Thanks! Best regards from germany Torsten
Thanks Torsten! Enjoy it my friend
Thankyou again for another great video .. Im getting so excited about getting out camping again and I appreciate your tips !! Still love that laugh of yours !!

Your tips and tricks are awsome Lars-Erik from Stockholm Sweden
Thank you Lars!
Howdy RBM1, I always enjoy your lessons. A lot of clever ideas and tricks. I really like those compasses, they are really accurate. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it all my friend. Thanks for watching
All that time indoors during the winter is the problem. Our light skin is designed to soak up vitamin D from the sun during the winter season. Sunlight and/or vitamin D supplement will help you from getting sick. Liked them bungee-ball tricks. Missed your cats.
That's so true. Not only does the lack of sun deplete some vitamins but it also causes depression in the winter time. Thanks for watching Brother
Im thinking i might need to drill some Mora handles for those mini lanyards now. Awesome as always. I'm definitely getting that Grabber hat, its like magic.
Sounds good to me. That Grabber hat is fantastic in buggy areas
Such great tips as usual, my favourite bushcraft channel-- you're the best Dave!

Echoes from here, to that statement. We may need to come up with a better word to describe Dave! :)
Love it, very good, useful tips...Thanks Dave !!
Thank you Julius!

Have fun in the woods,
Chris from Missouri

Awesome day when you put out a new video!! And it’s my favorite series too?! Super stoked! Thanks Dave!
Thanks Jim!
As I've stated in the past excellent info, As one with life long sinus issues you have my empathy. My health issues now keep me from my much loved solo trips and so I stay home and reminisce. Take care and hope work gets back to a more normal schedule. Duane
Thanks Duane. Man the pollen down south is horrible!
Great video filled with great tips! By the way, you have the coolest camping room in the world!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it all my friend!
Im happy you liked the Velcro tip. Ive heard of essential oils but never used them. May be time to try?
You've showed me alot of great tips & tricks lol verry useful
Great to hear that James!
Thank you for yet another great video and learning curve from you David! :)
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
Thanks for showing us the bungee balls I've got a few uses for them and I hope You and Nick are well come your next video All Best. J.👍👍
You are very welcome John, see ya in the next one brother!
“ Two are one, and one is none.” We each have a MC2, and backup Suuntos that are
Simpler ( but accurate) training types in our rucks. Chris has a LONG stride, but walks slow absorbing everything.. I think its his military and academic training? My stride is a lot shorter. We hear about groups separating
For minor reasons and one gets lost or dead.
